Amazing hotel with surprisingly good prices. Nice service, great spa & wellness area (2 different saunas, jaccuzzi and pool). Very clean and makes a good impression. Also location is great, near city center.
Not a very imposing front of hotel but a very welcome greeting from reception and swiftly allocated room. We had booked a suite and following morning spoke to reception as we weren’t happy with room as it was right in the corner of building with limited view of river. We were immediately given another suite which was so much better and what we had imagined it would be. Breakfast ok plenty of choice but you are in Poland and foods I would say are to Polish tastes but no issue with that. We enjoyed the Spa but at times it was busy with children so we just avoided it then. Couple of downsides since Covid no river taxis running to take you into town , we had expected them to be running nowhere did it tell us before booking that they had not resumed. It’s a ten minute walk which is ok but not one we expected we would have to make. Hotel does not have a proper lounge area with bar and seating ,if you want a drink we were directed to a table in restaurant which was ok but didn’t feel relaxed enough. All in all very clean, excellent staff, good facilities and totally worth the price.…
If you’re going by car or EV, don’t bother! The Tesla charger is cut off, so no charging point here. They chose to disable the charger and increase the price for parking from 40PLN to 150PLN per night which is way overpriced for the area. Staff is rude and totally unprofessional. Was welcomed cold handed and when I asked about all this, she told me that my room is not yet ready and I can not come back until 15.00 not any minute earlier. I was also told that I can’t cancel and get any refund since it’s a prepaid offer even though they shared wrong information on their webpage. Great, not.
Lovely modern hotel situated just outside the old city. In seven minutes by foot you are in the center of old Gdańsk with lots of restaurants to choose from. There is a mini market four minutes walk from the hotel on your way to old Gdańsk. It was very busy at check in on Saturday afternoon. They happily stored my bag until my room was ready. I had a small single room on the fourth (top) floor where the roof slopes. The room felt average size despite not being able to stand fully in the room where the roof sloped. This also meant that when I sat at the desk my chair bumped into the bed, as there was no other place to move the desk to. Good thing I’m not overweight or I would have struggled to sit at the desk. :) The single bed was narrow but good for a tall person. If you require space when you sleep, you might need to book a double room. I normally like the harder type mattresses they have in this hotel, but not this one. Free WIFI was quick. Room decor fresh and modern. Bathroom spacious. Modern fixtures and I loved the space in the shower. Very clean. The aircon worked very well. It made a loud noise though, probably accentuated by the air hitting the sloping window wall area of the room. In a larger room, you might not hear the sound. I therefore preferred keeping my window open. I closed it at night so as not to be awakened by traffic noise from the road below in the morning. But used earplugs to block out aircon noise. The spa is a nice feature. I used it an hour before it closed at 9 pm (10 pm on weekends) and it was busy with lots of families with kids. I just wanted to use the sauna which was spacious snd clean so it worked well for me. But if you wanted to use the pool or jacuzzi it was very busy. I was only in the steam room a short while as it smelled bad and didn’t have sufficient temperature. I stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. The one issue to be improved is the laundry. The laundry form says you’ll get your laundry back by 6 pm. It’s more like 22:00. Also, once you use your laundry bag/ form housekeeping doesn’t give you a new one. I had to ask, and then only received the laundry bag without a form… plus reception doesn’t keep spare laundry bags and forms to give you. You have to get them when housekeeping is open. This should be easy for the Almond to rectify. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel.…
Personally me and whole our team are amazed by your hotel, services and finally with Gdansk. WE ARE SHOCKED FROM BEST SIDE !!! Hotel’s administrator Klaudia gets 12 points from 10 - from first email she was so friendly - I felt like talking with old friend. Hotel is in very good place - just 3 minutes to walk to the old town. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Barmens in restaurant are very professional and prepares great drinks! Breakfast deserves 10 points - huge choice of very tasty and delicious food ! So Your hotel deserves 10 points - everything was perfect. Gdansk - omg - it’s so nice , full of colors, energy, a lot of great restaurants, activities, amazing Architekture, very clean and friendly people. Prices in the city are adequate. In the morning we visited Malbork - pearl of north Poland. Next day we continued our trip to Torune - so I highly recommend this trip to everyone, but in Gdansk you definitely should choose hotel ALMOND !…
Hotel really worth a visit. Professional service. the entire hotel at the highest level. Meals very good. Birthday party service very nice and very professional. The food at the party is incredibly tasty
Very nice hotel with great food and wide choice at beakfasts. Also SPA with indoor swiming pool and two saunas: Finnish and steam one. Rooms could be a bit bigger but the rest was perfect. Parking available at the hotel premises. Walking distanse to city center.
Fabulous weekend with friends. Both couples celebrating 30 years of marriage. The hotel was immaculate throughout. The spa amenities were great. Could not fault anything about the place. So close to everything yet far enough for peace and quiet. The only thing I can say which has nothing to do with the hotel is other guests are inconsiderate to other guests. Late night and early morning talking in the passageways loudly and banging doors. Luckily you couldn’t hear anything from other rooms. Would definitely return and would highly recommend.
I have been to Gdansk many times, and I have most of the times chosen this hotel. I have been visiting the city from 2018. The breakfast and the spa are the two main reasons why I like this hotel: wonderful. The rooms are very tidy and comfortable: the floor in the bathroom is heated which is a pleasure in winter. I also appreciate the position close to the city center, in a quiete neighborhood. The amber counter in the hall is very elegant. The only negative thing is the restaurant: it’s not so elegant as the rest of the hotel, even if it’s alright especially if you want to eat til 11 pm.
A fantastic place to stay, with family or on business trip. Nice , clean room with comfy beds and balconies. Polite and friendly staff, always happy to help. Really cosy restaurant with beautiful dishes- in fact , the best risotto and fish soup I've ever had. Breakfast to die for- extremely wide selection.Cooked, continental, savoury, sweet- perfect for carnivores and vegetarians. Welness and Spa also great. Very clean , very relaxing with nice ambience and without horrible chlorine smell. Just lovely. Overall, I had a great stay and already planning my next visit. Highly reccomended.
