This wonderful hotel was perfect for our recent trip to Gdansk. I had to work every day at my client's office, and could step outside the hotel and get my Uber every morning 30 seconds away. My wife explored the whole city center on foot during the days and had a great time. In the evenings we could stroll through the charming and immaculately clean city center and choose from what seemed like a hundred restaurants. The breakfast was pretty good for myself (an English breakfast fanatic) and both of the WiFi hookups worked perfectly. There were a few bumps, but these were easily overcome. The street below was loud with revelers late into the night, but closing the window blocked most of the noise. I never got around to needing the earplugs provided for more sensitive folks. The heater was a bit over-active at first, but the fellow at the desk came up and fixed that, and the bed was somewhat softer than I usually like but by the second night I was accustomed to it and slept quite well. In general I liked the room better than those in some of the five-star places we've stayed. The reception desk personnel were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and even arranged for a 5AM box lunch on the morning of our departure. All in all we really liked this hotel and will not even look at other possibilities for our next trip to Gdansk in a few months.

What can I say! What a beautiful little find The Liberium Hotel was absolutely beautiful the staff were really nice it was spotlessly clean and good breakfast although not for everyone it could do with a bit more on the hot food as some mornings there was boiled rice and vegetables which isn’t for me for breakfast and wiener sausage with onions and peppers it felt more like a lunch lots of choice with pastries fruit and yogurt there was scrambled eggs but didn’t have toast which would have done me but nevertheless it’s obviously what they eat and when you travel it opens you up to their culture. We went for Christmas Markets our location was excellent the streets were laiden with snow we went to the World War 2 museum which was eye opening but really good and very cheap I think around €5.50 p/p we went on the Gsansk eye and had a good look around there is a fabulous shopping centre near hotel with a huge food court. The hotel was clean the quilts were a bit light even though an extra blanket was there the heating system on the first night made awful noise enough for eat olugs but we saw by turning down the dial on the radiator it stopped banging but this would not turn me off staying I can’t wait to return and a gorgeous quaint restaurant in the hotel! Got a taxi from airport and return but be careful as they seem to charge what they want I would get a price first. Thanks for the wonderful stay Hitel Liberium.

The location is perfect. This is the beginning of the old town, the main street Dluga is just around the corner, but there are no crowds in front of the hotel. Downtown within walking distance, to the canal waterfront 10 minutes. Near many restaurants, many grocery stores of the inexpensive network Zabka (recommended). Also 10 minutes walk to the main train station, from where you can easily get to Malbork, Sopot, etc.
Delicious and varied breakfasts (from 07:00 to 11:00) are served in the Rękawiczka restaurant, which can be reached on the ground floor, opposite the reception - no need to go outside. In the evening it is convenient and tasty to drink good wine, I recommend Polish homemade - it exceeded our expectations.
Very nice staff, clean and warm rooms.
Honest *** +, i.e. more than three stars. Thanks to the staff, we will be back :)

My wife and I are currently in Gdansk we booked a 5 night trip for our wedding anniversary. This hotel looks and sounds lovely on the website and we were excited to stay with them.
However after a late night flight we arrived around 11pm. The first thing we noticed was the noise from the surrounding bars and clubs, we went in anyway thinking that the hotel must have sound proofing.
The check in process was fine and we were given the key to our room.
Again the room was ok, very basic, pillows very flat, bed covers small.
The noise continued, it was so Loud we could have been in the bar. The hotel had put ear plugs in the room by the bed, so are clearly aware of the issue.
I contacted the receptionist to ask if there was another 'quieter' room available, which they weren't. By this time it was nearly 1am we were both tired from travelling and desperate to enjoy our anniversary trip.
We decided at this point to move hotels as we didn't want to risk the noise and no sleep for 5 nights. We packed up, got dressed and moved across town at 1am.
The reception staff were unable to provide a refund at this point so we said we would return I the morning to speak to the manager.
We returned the next morning no manager or owner available and left to the poor receptionist to deal with.
We were offered a voucher! Are you actually kidding !!! Why would we want a voucher to return to this awful place? We were told you can give it to friend, oh wait a minute, we will put our friends through this too.
We said we were happy to pay for the night we had arrived and the next night but we were offered nothing.
The communication with the hotel has been awful and we haven't even received an apology.
On top of this they are now lying to booking.com staring they offered us another room, I can assure you they did not, that is why we left.

I have heard many complaints about noise and I wonder, if you do not want to have any noise around, I think it is better to find a place at Bialowesa Forest away from a port city like Gdansk, but if you direct your critical view to the amazing location this hotel offers, why don't we focus on the modern design of this hotel that combines past and present, why don't we pay attention about the fabulous service offered by the very efficient team. I am completely happy to have hosted at Liberum, and I am sure I will be back and totally recommend this place to any traveller. I am from the Tourism Industry and this will be always on my mind if I need to recommend a perfect stay in the city.

What a fab hotel.
Just inside the entrance to old town so a great location for exploring the city. Close to bars, restaurants, the Forum shopping centre and close to transport links too.

The room was perfect for our needs, comfortable and clean. Good complimentary toiletries and bottled water. We had a room for 3 and it was kind of 2 rooms within a larger room (the bedrooms separated by the bathroom.

All the people on reception were friendly and very helpful. There’s a linked restaurant on the ground floor which is very good too and you get a discount voucher with your too .
Great hotel, fab location, reasonable price, we would definitely stay here again.

Recently renovated, this hotel is in a good location, being just in the historic centre but also near to bus and tramways stops (including bus 210 from the airport). The hotel and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Professional staff and excellent breakfast.

I think travelling to certain countries snd getting good accommodation deals also requires us to lower expectations. I had a very small room. But I was here to travel and to see the city and surrounding sites so this is ok. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff.

But the noise is something that is almost unbearable. I’ve travelled to many places where at some point there is a curfew. This does not seem to be the case here. The first night, it is 3:38 am, and there seems to be no site to the end if the loud music. It’s Saturday. So I’m awake and writing this review. My hope is that this excessive loud music is exceptional because it’s Saturday night. Crossing my fingers. Getting hungry so looking forward to breakfast! Good morning.

The town is lovely. Getting around is easy.

… heading to Sopot today.

We stayed December 2023, this is literally the best placed hotel for the Xmas Market in Gdansk. It is the last hotel before the entry point. Location is brilliant, you are only a couple of minutes walk from the sights on Dluga and nothing is more than 20 minutes walk away. You don't need to use public transport to see any of the main sights from this hotel. Even the WW2 museum (a must visit in Gdansk) is only 20 minutes walk.
The hotel is well decorated and reception staff were friendly enough and helpful. Check in was quick, our room was big enough for four of us, nice view of Old Town and had a large bathroom with shower. Small fridge in room and safety deposit box.
There was plenty to choose from at Breakfast and the pastries and cakes were delicious. One of the male staff at Breakfast wasn't very friendly or helpful but only a minor detail.
If we were to visit again we would definately stay here.

Vi bestilte transport fra flyplassen med wizz air. Så hvis dere flyr med de er det mulig. Ellers er sikkert taxi ok, det er ikke så langt ca 20 min- 16km.
