I stayed in the International Best Western for 2 nights end of April. Apparently, winter season was not over and there was heating, which was not possible to switch off. The only way was to open the window but since it is close to a big road with trams, I was awake at 5:30 due to noice from outside… I drunk a small bottle of water from mini-bar and it was close to 4€! No complimentary water in the room (despite of the fact that rooms costs 100€ per night). From the positive side: good breakfast (freshly made omelette or eggs in front of you, if you have time to wait and there are not so many people at breakfast), nice view on the hill with Brno castle.
Great hotel! Rooms neat, clean. We had a view of the castle! And the restaurant ... OMG, what a variety of food!!! In front of the hotel is a parking lot. The center is a 5 minute walk. Recommendation!
Hotel staff is great, rooms are clean and room service is excellent. Best part about the hotel is its location. Its literally right down town. Bathroom was a bit small (had the "economy" room) but usable. Breakfast is nice, many items to choose from.
We have chosen this hotel based on positive reviews but were shocked right after entering hotel at the reception. Now in pandemic time when hotels in the cities are half empty, we were told by very important receptionist, that our room is ready but official check in time is at 2pm so we have to come later. There was no single person at the reception or in the lobby but we have got an impression, we are disturbing and our money is not welcomed in this oldschool looking hotel. Luckily there is currently many other hotels available so we have cancelled our stay and booked at other 5 star hotel where the room was ready immediately without limitations or fees.
We reserved an Executive Suite and when we arrived we were told that none were available. I find this very unprofessional, organizing reservations is not rocket science. We got a small room. In addition they told us there was a king bed in the room, but in fact it is two small ones pushed together - completely different from the picture on their website which is misleading.
Stayed recently at the Hotel International Brno – the whole experience was really fantastic from start to finish. From our arrival, Jana made us feel SO WELCOME. The hotel is expetionally clean and the bed was so comfortable. Delicouse food, wide breakfast offer. Really great location next to all hotspots in Brno and South Moravia. The hotel can be fully recommended!
The hotel offered me everything I need in these harsh times. Friendly and competenst staff everywhere I went. Clean rooms with very nice view. Great variety of food and superb wine collection. Highly recommended.
perfect location for a stopover since the hotel is located in the heart of the city with easy access , parking , a pool and even a casino.great choice of restaurants and facilities in this fresh hotel very friendly staff and wide choice of fresh items at breakfast
First, I’d like to say this hotel is in a great location. It looks very nice from the lobby. These are really the only pros. When we arrived in the room, the toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months and the water coming out of the faucets, shower and toiled was straight orange. When housekeeping came the following day, they did not vacuum, which I know because I accidentally spilled crumbs on the floor and tried to get up as much as I could. So I’m curious what they actually cleaned. Another issue was noise. We were on the 10th floor, and on Saturday night, I felt like there was an actual party in my room. I’m a heavy sleeper, so I’d keep this in mind when booking. Now for my main issue. And to say before you read the rest, this is more about dishonestly than the actual issue. If told up front, I would have had zero problems with this. I emailed the hotel when booking to ask about room charges for dogs, as the website says pets allowed, no restrictions. I didn’t hear anything back, so I figured there was no charge. we have always been told about charges prior to arriving. When I arrived, the lady at the front desk told me it would be £20 for the two dogs per night. I asked if that was total, or for each dog, as what she said was different than what was on the form. She said total. I wasn’t thrilled, but okay with it, since they told us as we were first arriving at least. When checking out, they charged us per dog, per night. I questioned this, as we stayed for multiple nights, so it added up very quickly and I was told differently. The woman at the desk pretty much said tough luck, and I questioned again that I was told in the check in differently. No apology for the mix up or anything. I was then told by the manager that she was a trainee and told me wrong and that I had to pay. I feel this is very wrong, since we specifically asked. I’m also frustrated that at every point of the process I was told/ not told something else, but that no one has stood by what they said other than charging us more money. I understand paying a fee for dogs. We bring our everywhere. I expected it, but I didn’t expect different answers and being charged double at the end of stay.…
My 2nd stay here and the hotel is still as I remember. The staff are friendly, rooms are comfortable and clean. Location of the hotel is very central, it is just less than 5 minutes walk to Brno central square where the shops and restaurants are all lined up. The daily buffet breakfast is worth a mention too. There is good variety of pastries, sausages and quality of the made to order eggs is excellent. Thank you for the good stay!
