Excellent hotel. Loved the rooms, the customer care, the cafe, the games for Kids. Definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. The rooms were very clean. The Air Con was working perfectly. Had a very good night's sleep. Ample space for parking as well.

A nice hotel located near the highway. The room is spacious and well equipped. Clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is excellent too. One the best hotel we stayed in during our Eastern Europe road trip.

Nice hotel, good rooms, fair location. Too bad the staff is not friendly or professional. The girl that checked us in on March 29th looked annoyed. Same thing for the lady at the Brasserie restaurant during breakfast. There was another girl also in the breakfast room that did not speak English, not acceptable for a 4 star hotel. Positive note: the only smile we witnessed at this hotel came from the girl that checked us out, the exception. Our Reservation number 1524487

We took a one night trip to see Brno and stayed at the Holiday Inn. Reception was very efficient, they had our details all ready and we were in our room in about 2 minutes.
As members of IC Hotels Priority Club, we were upgraded to a suite with a separate lounge/dining room and very large bedroom. The suite was at the end of the corridor, so was very quiet.
The bed was immense and very comfortable and the bathroom well fitted out and clean.
The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment and although we had one of the unrefurbished rooms, it was excellent.
The hotel is situated amongst the Trade Centre area of Brno, about 20 mins walk from the old town or a 100 Czech Koruna (CZK)taxi ride. The view from the room was not magnificent - overlooking a multi-story car park - but you don't spend all your time looking out of the window!
The real let down was breakfast with lukewarm coffee (in a jug already on the table) and stale, hard pastries (croissants). Otherwise a good stay!
One thing to watch out for is the price of taxi fares, eg. Airport to Hotel = 500 CZK Hotel to Airport = 333 CZK! Hotel to Old Town = 150 CZK Old Town to Hotel = 100 CZK
We did think that we were being ripped off at times.

Apparently this was the first Holiday Inn opened in the former communist block, and it just look like it is a former socialist congress venue from the Socialist times.
Location is far out of the center, breakfast is totally forgettable and nothing was really but just basic and average, good but not much more.
The building and rooms themselves, are showing they come from another time, decoration is minimal and bathroom tiny, nothing in relations with the modern look to be found in the last 10 years.
The good point is that rooms are clean, but mattress and bedding are not of highest quality, pillows are not down or feathers, just basic ones. I was set in one of their executive and more spacious rooms, #532, the room was very quiet and the only perk was it had a Nespresso machine, it shows the hotel management try its best.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, the large parking on the hotel back make the place interesting for a 1 night business stay in Brno or on your way thru Brno. But if you come for tourism go elsewhere. Internet worked well and was free of charge. If you have no other choice where to stay, it wont be bad, but it is definitely not a charming and up to last HI chain standards, but can be used if the other hotels are expensive or what you need is just a basic and standard clean and practical hotel.

Simply perfect if your needs are : nice hotel and kind staff, very good and plenty breakfast , 20 steps ( yeah, really ) from the congress center , Europcar office inside the hotel , sauna , very tidy , big and clean bedroom. Top level holiday inn , One of the best i ve never tried !

I stayed at the hotel for a week. Although I was a holiday Inn premier member the hotel would not give me any points or breakfast during my stay. They said it was because I booked without using their website. They were very rude and I found the staff uptight and unfriendly. I would never stay here again or recommend it. Also the AC was turned off and the room was very hot.

This was one of our best ever experiences at a Holiday Inn. From the moment our car drew up outside the hotel and the Bell Captain came out helpful, smiling and so polite till the moment of departure the service could not be bettered. The Reception staff were so pleasant and so efficient and always ready to help.
We had a superb top floor suite which was glistening and gleaming with cleanliness. The bed was large and oh so comfortable. The bathroom really stylish.
The entire hotel has a real sense of style - almost wih an Italian feeling. It is modern, open and fresh. Some really attractive lighting fixtures and floral displays were a feature.
Dinner in the Restaurant was a true pleasure and again immaculate service. Far better than some of the top restaurants in many cities. We enjoyed our friday night meal so very much that we returned again on Saturday night. Something we do not do often and especially in hotels. We were not disappointed. The breakfast must rate as one of the best ever. A great choice of fresh fruit, cereals, all the usual hot items, cold meats, cheese and a great choice of salad items and fish. Good choice of juices along with bottled water and the ability to choose your own tea bags and make your own tea. Coffee was delivered to the table in a thermos flask and was hot and good.
There is not the slightest doubt that we wil return to this hotel.

Great from start to finish. Stayed here for two days to explore Brno, the hotel is a little way out from the centre of town on what looks like a bit of an industrial estate near the Velodrome. We arrived by car and arrival and departure were easy with good road access and good parking at the hotel (there is a charge for this). We were also very fortunate to get a room upgrade top an executive suite which was fantastic, with a separate lounge area and a lovely large bathroom with bath. Bed was extremely comfy and all the fixture and fittings were top notch. Reception staff, bar staff and those we meet at breakfast were all friendly and efficient. We used the public transport to access the centre of Brno (Hotel reception sold us a 25 CZK ticket that was valid for 1 hour) there is a bus stop near by which looked to have a frequent service to Mendlovo náměstí and then jumped on a tram for a couple of stops. Great fish tank in the reception area.
