The location is excellent - near the cathedral and the market square.
The hospitality is good too.
Breakfast is very good, with a wide variety of foods, though I would like better pastries.
I like that you can choose drinks before entering breakfast.
The room is comfortable, but the location of the toilet was unusual (at least in the wheelchair accessible room), and in the beginning we kept trying to go to the closet, then realizing that it's not the bathroom.
In the accessible room I loved the fact that we had another, second, sink for handicapped, which was lower and its mirror was lower - exactly as needed. Also liked the sensor in the tap to operate it, however I couldn't control the temperature. It always started cold and then gradually warmed up, and if I took too much time, I had to use the other sink because the water would become too hot.
I would also like to be able to raise the handle at the side of the toilet and keep it up - because I didn't need it, yet there was nothing to prevent it from going back down.

Dear Boris, Thank you for your review. Your mention of the issues some people with reduced mobility may have did not go unnoticed. We appreciate your insight and will do our utmost to improve this aspect of our services; we extend our apologies for any inconvenience. Nevertheless, we are happy to know you found our hotel to be in a convenient location during your visit to Brno. I'd like to talk about my experience at this hotel
When you enter the hotel you are greeted with a welcome reception, and most importantly everywhere at the entrance, at breakfasts even in the toilet there are beautiful live flowers.
Breakfasts include red fish, hamon, fresh juices and fruit. Lots of hot stuff, it was at least 5-6. Different types of bread .
Around the hotel is very clean , the hotel is right in the center .
The surrounding area has many cathedrals, attractions just behind the hotel small observation deck and all within walking distance
From the train station we walked 6-8 minutes
I think that's a big plus too.

So this hotel is highly recommended for visiting , sure to come back more 😍

From the moment you arrive you receive excellent service and staff were really helpful and friendly (particularly "Irish" Eva and Dominika on reception). The surroundings are very grand when you first arrive and it got even better when we arrived in our room. It was huge and lovely view of the church on the right. Separate bath and shower (slight black mould on silicone which should be dealt with to maintain these high standards), his/hers sink and even a separate dressing area with a desk and coffee machine/safe etc. Good breakfast and again excellent service. Great central location and difficult to fault what was an overall excellent hotel and well recommended.

The hotel is very centrally located and has a valet parking service which is relatively expensive (35 euros per night) but works excellently. The breakfast is very varied and tasty. Our room on the 5th floor only had two skylights but was otherwise immaculate. The furnishings are very dark, but that is a matter of taste. We noticed that parts of the carpet in the hallway near the door frames of the rooms were missing.

We really liked the hotel building, our room with a king-size bed and the breakfast selection. We didn't use the gym or sauna because we didn't have time. We would have liked to try out the massages, but unfortunately we didn't have time. The location of the hotel is wonderful, so you can reach everything on foot or use public transport. The parking fee of EUR 35 per night is too high. When people are partying in the pubs in the side street, not just IN the pubs, but also outside the pubs, it can get very loud - and that goes on until 4 a.m. :-( All in all, we recommend the hotel.

Great availability and kindness of the staff. During breakfast the room was completely full, but immediately the youngest member of the team noticed that we were a bit lost and did not hesitate to come and accommodate us at the next free table. He cleared the table and we were able to start without waiting. The buffet was replenished faster than customers emptied it and I say that the room was full, so in such moments not everything always works, but behind this service there must be a great organization!

Thank you again for another amazing stay at your 5* luxurious modern hotel. It's beautiful inside and out!

From the check in to check out, the experience was the same (always professional).
Special thank you to Eva who kindly sorted out my request before my stay!

This is by far the best hotel in the centre of Brno, with great options for wandering around by foot. The transport connections are also really good and easy to use. I used the trams and just tapped my card and enjoyed the ride!

The rooms are so elegant with everything you need and really well laid out with wall partitions separating the sitting/sleeping area from the desk/wardrobe area. The bed was so comfortable and came with a range of pillows (firm/soft/feather).

The bathroom has both a bath tub and an excellent shower with a good water flow. The range of toiletries provided are of very good quality.

I used the room service on the first night of my stay. There are lots of dietary options (should you need them). Being a vegetarian, that's important for me and for all the vegetarians out there to know!

Breakfast was great and the table layouts are good (for the solo folks, who might feel embarrassed sitting alone!). There's a good spread on offer and although it's classed as continental, the hotel also provides hot options too.

There is no doubt, whenever I am in next in Brno I will be staying here. I checked all the hotels in the centre and there's no other hotel that comes close to my requirements (luxurious and modern) then the Barcelo Brno Palace. I can't wait to visit again.

Thank you so much!

We did not receive a warm welcome that others mention with Prosecco, but were requested to pay a €100 euro deposit which was bizzare considering the rooms furnishings were pretty average (IKEA looking wardrobe) and not in mint condition anyway, and have to wait 5 business days to get it back. Not exactly the five star experience. The restaurant and breakfast are stupidly priced compared to the cost of the room for the night €40 Euros for breakfast for two people is nearly half the cost of the room. Some pros-the lobby is beautiful obviously and the facilities are great (tho they need to indicate if booking the sauna includes the whole sauna ‘area’ or just the literal sauna as this was unclear). We had a nice view of the castle at the front of the hotel which was good and the bed was huge. Perfect location for visiting the old town. Some of the reception staff were friendly and helpful also.

Pros:
Location is great for seeing what's to see in Brno, but the street down under can become somewhat noisy late Saturday night when students might play some outdoor drinking games.
The hotel's building is a beauty, particularily its lobby (rooms btw are nothing special). Staff are nice and helpful for the most. Welcome drink is fun. Parking service works well, though it is very expensive.

Cons:
We were offered breakfast for a staggering price, didn't bother with it as surrounding cafes offer decent options for half the hotel's offered price.
The rooms are mediocre, with a standard, modern, empty, characterless feel that stand in contrast to the old building and majestic lobby which are a real jem.
Housekeeping is below par. Floor seemed dirtier as our stay continued, don't think it was properly cleaned. Found hair from previous room users behind the sink.
Weak water pressure in shower, that seemed partially broken. When mentioning the broken shower, reception noted and said they'll send a technician the following morning. Never saw one, shower remained in the same situation.
And why on earth do they keep tucking these bedsheets in 2022, oh why lord? who likes it anyway?

Husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the Barcelo Brno Palace Hotel.

First, staying here if you are going to see for instance like us, the world championships in biathlon in Nove Mesto, is good. Only 2 hours by bus from Vienna airport and then 2 hours with train from Brno to Nove Mesto.

The hotel has a very convenient location in the city centre, only a short walk from the train/bus station. The building is beautiful. Check in was quick and we was greeted well by the front desk. We got a room in the 5th floor (top) floor, big and spacious. The bed is good, the bathroom is huge with a tub, a shower and twin sinks. The towels are huge and soft.

The radiator wasn’t working so the first night was very warm. We couldn’t have the roof top window open as it was raining and then the window automatically closed themselves. When we mentioned in to the reception the day after, they offered to switch room or wait for a technician. We chose the last option and in the end of the day the radiator was fixed and no problem. The room was cleaned perfect every day.

Upon arrival there are 4 capsules of Nespresso coffee complimentary. We drank them, but didn’t get new capsules the following day so we thought in was only those 4 capsules that was complimentary. On the second morning, we therefore went out to buy coffee. On the third day, the 4 capsules was back again so we got coffee before leaving early in the morning.

We didn’t have breakfast, tried the gym nor the sauna. Apart from one very heated night because of the radiator (that was fixed upon request) and lack of coffee one morning, we really enjoyed staying here. Our opinion is that the Barcelo Brno Palace Hotel is a overall very good place to stay and we truly recommend it to other travellers.
