I just wanted to let everybody know that even if they have insurances to cover such things this etablishment refuses to refund your nights if you are prevented from entering the country. I am very surprised by this customer service feedback. I guess it is in such circumstances that you see the true customer service colors of a company. Well being treated like this I will not stay in that place when I will be finally able to enter the country and I recommend you to book reservations with etablishments that will be more flexible.
This is a WARNING for everyone who is thinking of traveling now and staying in this hostel. We are Spanish, we had prepared a trip to Prague but due to the coronavirus we cannot move from the country, our flights and trains have been canceled and the Czech Republic has PROHIBITED the entry of Spanish into their country. This is an emergency situation and the hostel say that it is not their problem and they don't want to refund any money. We are not asking for a total refund because we understand them as well, but at least a part. Please, keep this on mind if you are thinking in booking a room here in the future. Never in my enter life I'd been treat like this and seen such a lack of support.
The facilities of the hostel are really good. It was spotless, very clean. The bathroom were big, but There were only 3 (including one exclusive for women) for all the people. The common area was great, with comfortable couches. It has free wifi, ir didn’t work very good at some part that weren’t the lounge. The staff is really helpful and nice, showing the main attractions in a map and places were you can it. The location is good, being around 15 minutes on foot from the Old Town Square.
I reached around 10 P.M. in the night. Sunny (hostel staff) came down to pick me and get my luggage. He could have just told me to take the elevator and come on the 5th floor. He on boarded me properly and made sure I feel comfortable. He gave me a welcome drink and took me to the room to settle me. It is a small hostel with approximately 20 beds. The best part is that you will befriend new people since you will literally meet everyone at the hostel. Met people over breakfast and the next thing was that I was out with 4 of them. These things are better at a compact and closely knit hostel. The location is good. It is 15 minutes walk to old town and about 30 minutes to the Charles bridge. Palladium Mall is within 10 minutes walking distance. The hostel is near the Florenc station. It gets quiet at night, but it is completely safe. You just have to exercise common sense. I am a cleanliness freak. The hostel is spotlessly clean. The sheets are clean. I saw the cleaning lady. She made sure to get each and every hair out. The showers are hi tech with different angles. You will find toiletries as well. There is a kitchen where you can cook. Tea, Coffee and Milk are free all day. There is a lounge with games and Netflix and comfortable sofas and bean bags. It is a great place to meet new people. The staff is excellent. Both Sunny and Ulvi are great. There is a locker to store your valuables. Inside the locker is a safe for you to store your passport and valuables. Take their padlock as it will work the best on the locker. They give you 3 keys. One for main door, hostel door and for the locker. Overall, McSleep made my Prague stay good :) There is nothing in particular I didn't like. Just one thing: If you are checking in after 12 midnight, you need to inform them as the staff is not there afterwards. Also there is no AC. At night, the weather was cool so wasn't a problem. I suggest them to keep darker curtains so that the daylight doesn't wake one up.…
Friendly and welcoming. Very clean. No outdoor footwear past the hallway, they provide you with slippers! Fabulous idea. Chilled atmosphere. Helpful staff. Great communal kitchen and living area. Free WiFi. Personal lockers. Convenient location. Shops for essentials less than 5 mins away, great base for exploring. Felt very safe.
