Romantic and cosy rooms, perfect location and services provided with love. That is the Golden Key hotel, the new definition of a boutique hotel in Prague. Since the end of 16th century, the building of the Golden Key hotel – The house At the Golden Key Nr. 243 – has been a vital part of the architecture in Nerudova street. This house was built by a famous businessman and locksmith from Prague. Today, there is the Boutique Hotel Golden Key, Member of Asten Hotels, which belongs to the newest and according to the reviews of our guests also to the best boutique hotels in Prague. All important sights and institutions are within walking distance from our hotel. The Nerudova Street is perfect not only for its location, but it is one of the most romantic alleys in Europe. To watch its a bit sleepy morning awakening to a new day is an unforgettable experience. Explore Prague and its nooks with us, our motivated team will take care of you with love.

Detailed Reviews
The hotel is centrally located with shops and convenience stores nearby. Close to Charles Bridge. Our spacious and clean room on ground floor had access to patio outside. The bed was comfortable and a fridge and coffee maker were available. We received a warm welcome from our receptionist and our room was available early. The friendly receptionist arranged packed breakfast due to early departure for the airport next day and provided us with a tea pot and tea bags given that we were tea drinkers. Highly recommended.

The Hotel is very clean and extremely comfortable. The beds are large with big, fluffy pillows, we probably had the best night’s sleep we’ve ever had in a hotel room. The staff go out of their way to be friendly and are great at suggesting things to do. The breakfast is typical European buffet style with lots of choices and plentiful. The hotel is on a lovely street which has many shops, bars and cafes on it. It’s a short walk to the Castle one way or a 5 minute walk to The Old town in the other direction. In fact our stay was perfect in every way.

I stayed just one night on my business trip to Prague in Golden Key, but what a pleasure.
Room was beautiful and clean (in very nicely decorated historical building). Everything you would possibly need is provided by the hotel (enough storage room, vault, premium cosmetics in bathroom, hairdryer, fast internet on the room, satelite TV,....)
Breakfast was rich and I really enjoyed all my favourite breakfast dishes there, staff was pleasant, namely Jana at the frontdesk.
Thank you for amazing experience.

Very mixed feeling about the hotel, staff were polite, location was great - 10 min walk to the bridge 20 walk to old town.
However our room (2) was at the top of the stairs i was kept awake every night by people coming in and out i felt like we were in a hostel it was incredibly noisy, the room was also very small not much like the pictures- I think we were just given the worst room!!! The bed was comfortable but pillows awful, breakfast was also very basic, meats/cheese/ and bread. But for the price the hotel did what we needed it too but wouldn't stay again.

A trip with the wife to city of Prague post-wedding. We paid extra for Delux Plus room and we absolutely did not experience anything luxury. Well, the bed was massive and comfortable but the air con should be standard in a hotel charging £150 per night.
Goods -
- English breakfast is good.
- Coffee machine in room was nice.
- Air con and comfortable bed were absolutely needed.
- in a lovely, safe, quiet up-market area
Bads -
- Furniture broken
- ‘city view’ is just a tiny window in the corner of the room you have to climb up to see out of. Not worth the extra money.
- room doesn’t look anything like the stock photos online
- halfway up a massive hill
- Some of the staff were rude
- Rooms were not cleaned (toilet, shower, bins, coffee cups, bed sheets, not hoovered). We had to call reception to have the room cleaned properly as only the towels were changed and we had already been there 3 days in 30 degree heat.
Overall, we paid more to get a bit more comfort for our trip and we just got everything that should be standard, and some things were even not real (cleaning the rooms, big windows, friendly staff).

Hotel very well located in the city center and a stone's throw from the castle and the Charles Bridge. However, located on a quiet street.
Old town 10 minutes walk
Near tram and bus station
Many restaurants nearby
Spacious room with double bed, large bathroom and mini bar + small bottle of wine offered if staying for a week
Decent breakfast. Only small downside, not enough fresh (the fruit juices are at room temperature for example)
Friendly staff
Room cleaning carried out daily except for bath towels not replaced for a week.

Lovely hotel, nice rooms with great breakfast. Arrived at 1.00am & followed instructions hotel had emailed me & got into room nice & easy. Breakfast was very nice with a decent choice each morning. The room was spacious, comfortable & very quiet. The hotel is on the castle side of the river & up a bit of a hill, but in a great place if you use the hop on hop off bus as it stops about 200m away. There are plenty of places to eat & drink & watch the football within a short walking distance, as well as numerous small supermarkets. The staff in the hotel were helpful & really nice.
I will definitely return to this hotel on my next visit.

Nice small cozy boutique hotel with spacious quite rooms, polite staff, sauna and great location. Situated in romantic Lesser town (Mala Strana), it's just a few steps away from Prague castle with beautiful views from top or you can scroll over the Charles Bridge into the Old Town (app. 15 nice walk through historical part of town). Highly recommended :)

One of the most beautiful, most welcoming hotels we've ever stayed at. Everything about it was perfect: the location of the hotel, the room (so stunning and quiet!), the breakfast... I couldn't fault it. The staff really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and happy. A truly fantastic place.

No, there is not. There is a breakfast buffet, and there is a little cafe next door. Many restaurants along the street near the hotel.
Sorry we arrived by plane
Hi Sandyroum, the nearest train station is the Prague Main Railway station (Hlavni nadrazi). The distance is cca 4 km, it takes about 14 minutes by taxi.
Have a nice day, Petra
