Great location, right next to Old Town Square! Awesome breakfast. Rooms and bathrooms need upgrade. You need to explicitly ask reception for iron(and board), AC remote control, safe box keys etc. as they're not provided in the room. Staff was ready to help but communicating(in English) was bit of a problem. One of the staff members went out of the... More

Clean rooms, very rich breakfast, kind staff (English speaking) at good prices in the center of the city. The best location I could desire. Mila, at the reception, was very kind and helpful in suggesting how to deal with a heavy luggage and a rented car. Thank you.

I cannot begin to describe the disappointment i feel for this place. The staff was rude and did not care for us at all. The room was small and the windows had nothing to block out the sun. There was no remote for the AC and still we paid a good 228 euros for two nights. If you have any... More

The hotel is 1 min walk from the old town hall and the cloak tower. Booked the hotel during low season and got a discounted price. The hotel is very pleasant and the buffet breakfast is tasty too. I think this is the hotel which has given good service for the money you pay for!

Stayed here for a week. Room was serviced well every day. Receptionists usually look bored or go out of their way to try sell you the tours, assume they get some sort of compensation. It's conveniently located to the Old Town Square. I read the previous reviews and thus asked to be in a quiet room on the upper floors.... More

After spending three nights at the Hotel Dar I can say that it is a study in contradictions and depending on what is important to you, you may like or hate this place. On the plus-side the location is great - within 90 seconds of the old town central plaza and all the wonderful restaurants, shops, tours, etc. that it... More

Location was fantastic! The restaurant next door was good with cheaper food and booze than at the old town square. Rooms were super tiny. Beds were hard. I asked for additional pillows but he didn't understand us. Small lobbey where they store your bags if you have a later flight. Reception lady was very nice and informative and booked tours... More

Simple rooms. Great location right in in the midst of it. It's good value for money and the staff are friendly and helpful. Not fancy, but well done for what it is, recommend a stay when in beautiful Prague.

Small hotel in a very small back steet just next to the historical sqare in Old Town of Prague. I had a room in the back and even if it was at the first floor, I did not hear any noises. Nothing fancy, but for this price I think it is a god choise. Clean and fresh. There are lots... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
