Residence Agnes**** is located in the heart of charming Old Town, just a few steps from Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and the Jewish Quarter of Josefov containing preserved synagogues that attract tourists from around the world; it is also close to the attractive Palladium shopping centre. Due to its location, the residence is the ideal base for your visit to Prague – whether for a shopping spree, or to visit cultural and historical sites. The historical Residence Agnes building is located in one of the oldest parts of Old Prague which is listed by UNESCO. The first mention of the building dates back to 1369, when it was bought by Matyas for “two three-scores of groschens”. Residence Agnes underwent extensive reconstruction in January and February 2012, when the building was transformed into a four-star air-conditioned hotel offering an excellent service and pleasant atmosphere.

Staré Město (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

From the moment we were collected from the airport, to the day we were dropped off again the staff at Hotel Residence Agnes could not do enough for us. Not only did they greet us with complimentary beer, wine or hot drinks every time we entered the hotel but they arranged transport for us around the city whenever we needed it. They even recommended restaurants and made reservations for us. Breakfast was large and delicious and the mini-fridge was always stocked with snacks and more beer. The hotel was a really lovely building with a wonderful courtyard style lobby and was clean, tidy and very cosy, the perfect place to stay in such a fabulous city. I have recommended the hotel to all of my friends, family and anyone who will listen and I know they won’t be disappointed.

I’m not one to often write reviews. But my incredible experience at Hotel Residence Agnes has been too good not to share. All the other reviews are true! From the time you walk in, you are greeted by the friendliest staff you’ll meet anywhere in the world. I’m not kidding! You are offered water, wine or whatever you’re after and there are even snacks on the table. I was almost overwhelmed because I have never been treated so well - even at five star hotels. The staff sit down to discuss what you may want to see and give such helpful insights. The rooms are lovely - clean and classy. (The only thing to note is there is only a lift to the third floor so if you have issues with stairs avoid the 4th floor). What’s more, the hotel offered to drop me off at Prague Castle at no extra cost and also at the train station. The breakfast was fabulous! So much variety. This experience made my Prague visit a highlight. This city is so beautiful. I cannot thank the staff enough for their hospitality. You don’t find this sort of hospitality at 5 star hotels around the world. Here you are not just a paying customer but a part of their family. I would recommend this place to my fussy parents and anyone that wants to experience a hotel like no other. Thanks to all the staff for making my stay amazing.

This hotel easily earns a five star rating by it's location & cleanliness. But when the personnel is considered, five stars doesn't do it justice. Walk any where in Old Town in 10/15 minutes. Complementary drinks in the evening, much appreciated after a full day of touring. Plus a courtesy car available for short trips in Old Town. We highly recommend this Hotel.

From the moment we stepped into the reception area and were warmly welcomed by Klara with beer, soft drinks and 2 plates of czech snacks, we knew we were somewhere special! And each and every day we were treated this way and so much more, as every review has said. Frank, the owner, and his staff will take you any where you want to go in Prague for free. They will pick you up from the airport or take you to the airport upon your departure included in your room rate. There are bottles of water (still or not) as many as you want, in the lobby plus a refrigerator in your room stocked with juice, snacks & water no charge. The breakfast buffet was delicious with all kinds of treats plus eggs, bacon, meats, cheeses, fruits, yogurt, etc. They also made an omelet for my husband! In the 2+ weeks of wonderful food that we had on our trip, the 3 restaurants that Frank recommended to our party of 6, gave us some of best meals we had. Thank you, Hotel Residence Agnes, for being such a great little gem!

This boutique hotel is an excellent choice in Prague, on a quiet street a very short walk to the main square, the Jewish quarter, many attractions and dozens of restaurants. The staff was the friendliest, most helpful, professional and accommodating of any I’ve met. The hotel provided a driver to take guests virtually anywhere in the city for no cost. The breakfast was an outstanding spread plus eggs made to order if requested. Highly recommended.
