This is a solid 3-star hotel in a very old building. Located in the middle of the hill near the castle it felt special. Hotel made sure we had taxi waiting at airport. Reception area was a small messy room, but staff was nice. Room had hardwood floor and it was spacious. I was not expecting any luxury items, but room felt somehow empty and almost too plain. Bed was firm and it was easy to control temperature with big radiator. TV was old and had few channels but Wi-Fi worked nicely almost all the time. Bathroom was plain and water pressure in shower was poor. Breakfast was not very high quality, but the breakfast room was somehow so comfortable that it made the food taste better than it should have. All in all, even though this is definitely max. 3-star hotel I enjoyed our stay. Just keep in mind that it's a budget hotel and it shows.

Just a short walk up the hill to the Castle and a short walk down the hill to St Christopher's church and the Stevan's bridge. Beds are firm, no elevator. Room was clean, water was hot . Bathroom fully updated. Careful of the tap in the shower, just the smallest adjustment can give you extremely hot water. A few small ants in the bathroom but not an infestation. Staff was excellent request filled immediately and graciously. Good restaurants nearby. It's all about location and price. We'd stay there again

We were in Prague, in this small and beauteful hotel. It's in the Nerudova Street, located very close from the Castle and from the Karolo Bridge, both walking. It's and old construction, but with modern facilities. Breakfast is good (at european style), and bedrooms comfortable. It's perfect for couples or lonely travelers, maybe don't for big families. If you want a comfortable and cheap hotel, this is your choice!

Pros: - Good location - Reasonably cheap Cons: - Hotel was dirty and disorganised - Only one member of staff to be seen all stay - No lift so not good for carrying heavy suitcases - The stairs are uneven with poor lighting - The reception is a small box room with a chair and a desk in it which is usually locked with no staff around to assist you - The "restaurant" had a very poor selection of food available for breakfast each morning - The communal toilets dirty and unkempt and were kept locked so you had to track down the single member of staff to unlock them - The walls are incredibly thin so you can hear every single noise from other rooms - Poor bathroom facilities - the shower door fell off during our stay and the shower itself does not drain properly so you have to keep turning it off every few minutes to let the water drain away or risk flooding the bathroom All in all, Prague is a beautiful city which I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of visiting it - just pay that extra bit more money and find a nicer hotel!

The hotel is very clean. The location is very good. The staff is very professional and ready to help. The manager helped me in organizing a tour and sat for about an hour to make sure I am satisfied with my choice. The breakfast is good. Many things to choose from.

We stayed at Aureus Clavis hotel for three nights. I can only recommend this hotel. After reading a few not so good reviews about hotel I was a bit afraid regarding our stay there. But its location in Nerudova street right under the Prague Castle, breakfast and a lovely room with stunning views over Petrin hills made our stay very comfortable. Personal was always there to help. After talking to a manager and asking why there are a few not so good reviews about the hotel I was explained that the main problem were rooms on the top floor (4), because hotel does not have an elevator but since recently those rooms have been closed for sale so it is not going to be a problem anymore. Only one small thing I did not like at the beginning was parking. Parking is really 1 km from hotel and it costs 300 CZK/DAY (10 minutes walk back to hotel). I did not like that fact, but after complaining to a manager I was explained that the reason they send guests there is the very cheapest price for a secured parking in the whole area. I checked that information and found out that secured parking's in that area really cost from 500 CZK/DAY up to 800 CZK/DAY. After all its a city centre. At the end I was happy to pay only 300 CZK/DAY… We were more then happy with the price for our stay and once again I can only recommend this place and we will definitely come back…. Lodging/Staff/Overall service is A+++ Thank you for mesmerizing experience

Our stay at Aureus Clavis Hotel was excellent. Tonci (manager) was very helpful and the room was spacious and clean. Everyday we were provided clean towels and beds were very comfortable. The only issue we had was the shower water temperature. It would fluctuate from very hot to very cold. It was a minor issue that we adjusted to rather quickly. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel to the casual travelor looking for a nice place to lay their heads while adventuring in this beautiful city. THe location was amazing.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. The best thing about the hotel is its location - directly under Prague Castle. A two bedroom suite worked out to a wonderful price. Our group consisted of three adults and one infant. We were more than comfortable. A few shortfalls: Very poor parking conditions around the hotel. WiFi didn't work. Breakfast is from 8:30-10:30 AM Rooms are a little worn. I would recommend this hotel to people looking to really visit the city and sights and who do not aim to spend much time at the hotel, but prefer privacy. Definitely not meant as a romantic retreat for a couple.

This is a very 3rd rate place - basic and acceptable only if you are looking for that kind of thing. We were booked into it not by choice but thru a last minute cancellation of a B and B. Never would have chosen to stay there. No reception ( a buzzer that calls a nice waiter from their bar), no room cleaning, no sheets - a cloth on a bare matress, no service, no phone. Smells greasy. Serves a basic high carb breakfast. Asked when "sheet" would be changed and told "after 6 days." Iffy internet WiFi. Their pictures and description of their place make it look great, but in reality no so. Just don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.

This is a very poor place in people dont feel comfortable. It is refurbished with old and smelly furniture beds included, guess they got it from some old flat house for eviction. Things which want to be artefacts in rooms and around are rubish. If you want to save money just dont go here.
