Arrived at The Nicholas Hotel Residence at about midday to find that our room was available, which was a great surprise. The lady at reception was friendly and knowledgeable and gave us hints and tips for our stay in Prague. The room itself was great, loads of space, clean and although there was no air conditioning there was 2 large... More

Really enjoyed our stay at the Nicholas. Ali was an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. The apt was very clean and well situated. Welcome bottle of wine and snacks was appreciated as we had risen our bikes all day and were quite tired, so glad we didn't have to go out to get some stuff right away.... More

A true gem of a hotel just a 3-mins walk from Charles Bridge with a delicious breakfast, unique, open and roomy floor plans (just 9 rooms offered). It's a perfect place to stay in Prague with numerous great pubs just a couple blocks away.

We were 2 couples and stayed here for 3 nights during our stay in May. We had booked a 2-bedroom apartment with the hotel. The apartment was huge, big enough for 6 people to sleep and the service was excellent. Tina and Maria at the Frontdesk were very warm and welcoming. The property also offered a number of welcoming freebies... More

I had a last minute trip to Prague and took found this gem of a place. The hotel is just off the main pedestrian road down to the footbridge across to the main Old Town. The hotel adjoins the fantastic old Cathedral of St Nicolas and only a few rooms all on the top floor. The view I had was... More

Quaint hotel and very centrally located and quiet, adjacent to St Nicholas Church. On a tram line to Prague Castle, and close to Charles Bridge, old town, astronomical clock. Easy walk to all destinations. We enjoyed our stay here. Elevators to third floor, breakfast included. Would stay here again.

You know those hotels that you visit and you never want to leave... that is how I felt about The Nicholas Hotel Residence in Prague. Incredible location in Mala Strana, adjacent to the Church of St Nicholas, 5 minutes from Charles Bridge. As if the location alone wasn't enough to sell you through on some of the best customer service... More

We had the recent pleasure of staying 3-nights at the Nicholas Hotel Residence in Mala Strana Prague. We felt like we were at home away from home. Amazing staff, especially Rado who helped us plan our 3day trip really well. Great location - 2mins walk from Charles Bridge. Value for money. Breakfast buffet was served just outside our room. The rooms are quite spacious. Superb beds, you just don wanna get out in the morning..

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
