We stayed here towards the end of July 2022. Couldn't fault anything. Staff were all amazing from reception staff to breakfast staff to housekeeping. Room (deluxe) was amazing and the bed was one of the comfiest I've slept in. I had lower back surgery some years ago so a comfy bed is critical. Bed was spot on. Breakfast was great and served till 11. Suited us to a tee. Continental brek, omelettes, pastries, amazing coffee - set us up for the day. Location of hotel was great. Few mins walk from Mustek station and loads of cafes. We travelled all over the place from Mustek. Brilliant hotel. Brilliant location. Staff a credit to the hotel. We will be back to Prague and we will book again at this hotel
Very pleasant stay - staff went above and beyond to cater to my needs. Excellent location, right in the heart of new town. Room was spacious and bed was super comfortable, with the added bonus of having Netflix on tv. Breakfast was delicious also!
i was very disapointed by the ICON supposed to be 4 stars ranked. Its not Worth it at all. Room is large and clean with a bedroom and a lounge space with horrible 80s furniture ....like a soviet souvenir. Bed is large and comfortable but terible piping noises are running sometime and it s not soft its loud. Room service is trying to be good but many details like no sugar served with the breakfast or no spoons or no eggs delivered with the ordered breakfast The lounge in the hôtel is not in service actually.
We were a couple traveling to Prague for the first time. The receptionists greeted us every time we went through the lobby, and they were very serviceminded and helpful when needed. The room was nice and large and the bathtub was a huge plus! The hotel was located very closely to a bigger street running up to the main street, but it wasn't noisy outside at all! That makes the hotel very centrally located, and everything worthwhile visiting was in walking distance. Only minus is that there wasn't any electricity the last day, so the water wasn't hot when we came back from a long day out. One night we were wakened by the crying of a baby (maybe from the room next door), so the rooms can't be that soundproof. Overall a very pleasant experience, would definitely recommend, and would totally go there if travelling to Prague again!…
Excellent in all aspects. Great location in the city centre, yet in a quiet street. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is great, includes fruits (not very common in Prague). The sleep experience (mattress, quilts, covers etc) are among the best I have experienced. Rooms are spacious and super comfortable. Pet friendly! I will definitely stay there again.
Excellent hotel in the heart of the city of Prague. Every little detail has been taken into account to make our stay more than comfortable. Set in a quiet street, yet so close to restaurants, shops and sights. Highly recommended for business or pleasure.
Excellent set up for my birthday. Unexpected greeting with full set of champagne and a piece of cupcake. Suite size is big enough for staycation. No doubt to introduce friends to experience the hotel service.
A small hotel away from crowded areas but only a short walk to Wenceslas Sq, Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge etc. Very welcoming staff were helpful in arranging concert, tram tickets etc. Double bed room was spacious with plenty of cupboard/hanging space, safe, tea/coffee making facility. Free WIFI. Tip: take Czech currency to pay cash for tickets at hotel as this will avoid vat being added if you charge to your room. Good range of buffet breakfast and a tasty tapas menu.
Fabulous hotel right in the heart of the city. All the staff we encountered were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed on the second floor overlooking the street. The beds are so comfy and while the room was warm (it’s February, I’d expect the room to be warm it’s blooming freezing out) if it got too hot opening the windows soon solved the problem - the street was quiet so did not disturb our sleep.
First of all, this review should have been 5 stars. Let me tell you why i only gave you 3. We arrived at Thursday 20-02. The lady at the reception was so kind and sweet and helped us with all of our questions. And she also brought us to our room personally. The room and the bathroom were great! Really spacious, clean and luxe! We unpacked and went into the city. When we came back it was really warm in our room so we turned on the airconditioning. Unfortunately it stayed warm, and we had the idea, it became warmer and warmer by the minute. Our room was on the streetside so opening up a window was possible, but we allready knew it could be very noisy. Well, we did it anyway and yes it was a bit noisy, but not to bad. It was thursday night so there weren't many people on the street. We slept quite good. (The beds are amazing!!) On Friday we had a great day in Prague. When we arrived exhausted in the hotel after a day of sightseeing it felt again so hot in the room, and the later it got the hotter... we went downstairs to ask the reception staff if they could do anything about it and the man who was working the night shift (unfortunatly i don't know his name) did everything he could to help us. He came to our room, agreed with us it was really to hot, checked the aircon, contacted the technician... he was so so so nice to us and did everything in his power to help us, but unfotunately in the end there was nothing he could do except for opening up a window.. but on friday night there really is a lot of noise on the streets. We've asked if there wasn't another room available but unfortunately there wasn't. He told us he would make a note and advised us we asked it again first time in the morning. So.. we went to sleep, with the window open.. we litterely didn't sleep for a second. Cars with loud music, people shouting, glas breaking, ambulances, cars driving by, and off course in the early morning the garbage truck again. I cried. I really cried. I was so exhausted.. at 6 or 7 i went to the reception and the lovely man was still at work. He asked me how it went and i cried again. He was full of compassion and empathy and advised me to come back a little later to see if there was anything they could do. We did came back later. There was a girl and a guy at the reception, who both could learn a lot from their colleagues. We mentioned again what the problem was, and all the guy said was oh yes i see a note. Did you tried the aircon? Well... yes.. he promised to call the technician again. we went out to see some more of Prague and when we came back they told us the technician took a look at our room and that the problem was fixed. We had turned on the heating instead of the cooling. Come on!!! We told them their colleague was in the room the day before, first thing he checked was the cooling/heating system. It was on 5 degrees with the cooling button on. The whole stay. And then a technician tell us it was on heating? Give me a break... so not true! The receptionist came to our room and told us it wasn't hot. It was a normal temperature. And that we could came back as it was warm again. I didn't get the discussion in the first place, we already agreed with the lovely nightshift-man it was to hot and they needed to come up with a solution instead of a discussion. At night it was again really warm and we mentioned this again at the nightshift-man. He felt really sorry for us, came again to our room, told us it felt slightly less hotter than the night before but advised us to put the windows open until we went to sleep and closed them then. There was not much more he could do... The day after, sunday, our check out day. The girl and guy from the day before were at the reception again. I've ordered an airport taxi with the girl and she arranged that. I've ordered the taxi at 13.30, our check out time was 13.00. So i asked her if it was possible to stay in our room until 13.15. No it was not possible!! Wait.. what? Why not..? In the end we checked out at 12.50, and waited in the lounge until the taxi arrived. At checkout the girl didn't even asked how our stay was, she didn't asked if we slept ok, no apologies, nothing! The one and only thing she said was; would you like to pay cash or with card? If you pay cash it's cheaper. I am really disapointed. This stay could have been so great, our first impression was amazing, the staff so kind and welcoming. But the lack of service from the 2 employes blew my mind, and not in a good way. From the 3 nights, at least one night was terrible. And in my opinion they needed to check with us if there was antyhing they could do, maybe change room? I don't know.. i understand if the hotel is fully booked this is not possible, but than come up with any other solution or at least an apology. We paid over 300 euro's and i think it is a lot of money, the least they can do is to make you feel comfortable. :( :(…
