We went there to have some dinner and it was amazing. The staff served us excellent even better. We felt so comfortable. The food was delicious, they arranged an vegetarian option for us because they didn’t have one on the menu. The wine we tried was the best in a long time. It was a German Riesling called “gold line”. Thanks to the friendly staff and the lovely welcome.
After booking there before 1st lockdown, and being told by our government and the Czhec government we could not go due to Corona virus, so we have not cancelled booking...they have not refunded us at all, keep fobbing us of so now in process of claiming through our insurance, very very unhappy with misleading emails from them and still no refund after over 9 mts.. THINK TWICE BEFORE GIVING THEM ANY MONEY YOU WILL NOT EVER GET IT BACK OF THEM !!!!!
Visited this delightful restaurant on board the boat, a few days ago. Lovely meal for all 6 of us. I must say that the staff were brilliant and so friendly and cheerful. Well done. Would definitely recommend.
Great place to stay in Prague. Comfortable, good location, novel place to stay, good price, excellent staff but, unfortunately, the bed Really SUCKS....otherwise a 5 star rating! Oh, great restaurant too with super free breakfast and superior Italian Food for dinner! Really enjoyed staying there!!
Stayed here for 3 nights, a lovely little find. Clean, welcoming and homely. Close to all transport links. Breakfast was good. Only downside the pillows were so small, never seen pillows that size before..but that doesn't affect the lovely stay 😊
It has a beautiful atmosphere for watching the swans outside. The people were very friendly. We felt welcome and warm. Even though the cabins are really small (as you would expect on a boat), they are cozy and totally sufficient. It’s a really lovely place to spend a few days during the winter exploring Prague. The location is out of the old city but within a short brisk walking distance (10 min). Breakfast on sister ship Klotylda was lovely-sitting in the boat restaurant with gulls, pigeons and swans all around. Staff were helpful, forthcoming and knowledgeable.
Another trip to the Botel Matylda to visit the Christmas markets and attend a couple of classical concerts.....the Botel is sitated in a lovely part of the city............a 20 min walk from Charles Bridges and around 30/40 mins walk to Wencelas Square and the Old Town. The Botel is a beautiful and quaint hotel with a restaurant moored next to it for breakfast and evening meals. Breakfast is a typical continental style along with sausage, bacon, eggs and a selection of cold meats.....along with tea coffee and juices. the evening meals have a substancle menu and there is something available for everyone. The only criticsism was the chicken rissotto was very salty but apart from that very nice The room we were in had a lovely view across the river,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and a very comfortable bed. A chargeable mini bar is available, although surprising tea and coffe facilities are not available in the room, something the management could look into as a hot drink would have been welcoming after a day walking around town. A spacious bathroom with shower is available. There is plenty to do around the city and transport links are very good. Ensure you have valid tickets for trams and trains or you may end up with a hefty fine. Also be aware that certain parts of the city are a drink free zone and could incur a fine if caught. The winter market in the Old Town is spectacular with the most amazing Christmas tree..........plenty of stalls offering mulled wine and other hot beverages ..also food stalls......and stalls offering traditional Christmas gifts along with one must say some awful tat. On the whole a lovely visit...........great location and recommend good walking shoes…
The location is very good and the view is spectacular. The rooms are clean and cosy. The service on the front desk was very friendly. The breakfast is good and their restaurant is great. We had there very nice romantic dinner.
I have just recently returned after spending 5 nights at the botel Matylda. I can honestly say I have no regrets about chosing this as my place to stay during my visit to Prague. First thing, this place is very easy to find. It is very close to one of the main Metro lines, and there is a tram stop just opposite the boat. The public transport in Prague is awesome! The staff at reception were all really great, welcoming, and very helpful. They all spoke extremely good english. The room I stayed in was great. Really warm shower, a double bed, safe, wardrobe, and a little desk. Didnt need anything else. Only down side is that there were 2 cob webs on the ceiling, but other than that, just great! The free breakfast was okay. You are given a choice of cold meats, cheese, bread, pastry, fruit juice etc... Dont expect anything like sausages or bacon. To be honest, what they had on display was more healthy in that regard, and meant that you didnt leave to walk prague bloated. Overall, I highly recomment the Botel Matylda. I will be back next time I visit Prague. Oh, and if you havent visited Prague....it is a beautiful city.…
What a great place to stay. Permanently moored on the Elba river in a beautiful setting in the middle of Prague local to all places. The room is spacious well maintained with shower room and toilet. The shower is powerful and everything is very clean and well maintained. There is a hair dryer, sink and toilet. The room is mainly wooden panelled and ducks and swans appear outside the windows every day. Reception is staffed 24 hours. Towels and shower gel supplied. The restaurant is mired next to the boat full cooked breakfasts are available which are excellent. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Other meals at the restaurant are also excellent. No tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. WiFi works well.
