This hotel located at a very good part of Prague. It is walking distance from the main train station, and from many major attractions in the city. It also has a lot of options for restaurants and convenience stores around it. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet was superb. The room was big, with a very comfortable... More

Conveneniently close to Wenceslas Square. Staff, room, food excellent. My wife left her coat in the taxi on way to airport and it was posted out the next week. Though there was some building work going on outside the fron (next door) we certainly never heard any noise. A very peaceful 4 days and we return in 2 weeks time... More

Hotel Sovereign is well situated to explore the Prague city centre - rooms are clean, spacious and offer good value for money. Unfortunately the gym was in pretty bad condition with the main machine out of order - however the sauna was excellent, and surprisingly good for hotel standards. Breakfast was fine, if nothing special. The staff were a little... More

Considering I have some awful friends, the staff at the hotel did exceptionally to accommodate us. We arrived as a wedding party and manned a hostile takeover of the second floor for two nights; during which, the stay was and remained exemplary. The rooms are spacious, clean and everything you'd expect for the price bracket. The breakfast choices were spot... More

It was a very good hotel. I had a nice experience of staying there, the conditioner was a bit noisy and the water in the room was per fee. A small elevator which is better than no elevator and a nice breakfast including fruits. There is also a bit of walk until the central. The staff was kind.

Location : The hotel is located 10 mins walking distance to the central railway station. It is very close to metro and tram. The hotel is located just near Wenceslas Square and the area has number of shops , restaurants and bars. The old town square is a 12-15 mins walk and you can walk to Charles bridge conveniently in... We arrived at the hotel about an hour ago, with great expectation of a fantastic trip after a nice short flight, few beers with a brill cabbie whilst seeing some amazing sights around Prague. Unfortunately this was short lived. We had booked our accommodation via low cost holidays, they unfortunately went bust. 6 days ago we emailed the Hotel to... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
