#59 of 683 hotels in Prague
Travelers' Choice
Luxurious design hotel is located in the very heart of the historical centre of Prague near the Charles Bridge and the Old Town as well as all other monuments. It offers a fantastic view of the Prague Castle and the Wallenstein Palace. Enjoy the harmony of the preserved renaissance interior and progressive design by the best Czech architects. All hotel rooms are equipped with unique design furniture, futurist bathrooms, air conditioning with individual controls, LCD television, DVD players with a rich choice of DVDs, high-speed WiFi Internet connection, a desk and a safe deposit. In the renowned Wallenstein pub you can engage in an unforgettable culinary experience. You can also enjoy a cup of coffee or a drink in the cosy lobby bar or the hotel's glass patio. Breakfast is served in the form of a rich hot buffet. An air-conditioned fully equipped conference room for 30 persons is available for conferences, business negotiations and presentations. A limited number of parking places is available directly in front of the hotel. The first mentions of the house, sometimes also called Altmann House or House at the Kings Magi, date back to the 14th century when, in this locality, the Augustinian Order founded the first Monasterial Brewery of St.Thomas. The only reminder of this period preserved until today is a large Gothic cellar. In the first half of the 17th century, the house was reconstructed in the Renaissance style and given the name of House at the Three Storks and a house sign embossed with three storks. Today's appearance of the facade comes from the Classicist reconstruction in 1794 and 1820, when the connection with three neighbouring buildings resulted in the current aspect of the whole house. The facade with the house sign on a stone plaque and the main portal date precisely from this period. In the 1930s, the history of the renowned Wallenstein restaurant, named after famous Czech aristocratic family and frequented by number of well-known personalities, started evolving in this house. The name of the House at the Three Storks has its implication. The stork used to be a carrier of good news and blissful home. We strongly believe that every visit to this house will comply with the Latin saying originally placed under the house sign: "Frustra mundus invidet, quando Deus providet" - "The world envies in vain, when God takes care."

Having decided to choose Prague for a city break in the month of November, we were spoilt for choice as to where to stay. We chose The Three Storks Hotel in the Mala Strana district of the City and we were absolutely delighted with our selection. Its not a massive hotel and in a quiet district. Our room on the top floor was enormous, well furnished and so comfortable. The shower was absolutely brilliant. We could see the Castle from our room. With regards to staff, everyone was helpful and so friendly. In particular, Helena made great efforts to secure concert tickets and went the 'extra mile' to assist our stay. We would definitely recommend the Mala Strana area over the more brash and commercialised part of Prague on the other side of the river. We enjoyed the restaurants/bars that tended to be frequented by locals rather than us tourists! If we return to Prague will definitely return to the Three Storks Hotel.

The hotel is definitely nice, but in my opinion it doesn't deserve its five star rating. Our room was facing the atrium, which left the room without the possibility for natural ventilation and of course lacking in natural light. Also, even though it was quiet during the night, it became extremely noisy when other guests and staff were talking in the atrium. The big drawback however, was the quality of the mattress. It was very uncomfortable and both my girl friend and I had bad sleep and were tired for most of our visit to Prague as a result. I don't understand why such a nice hotel would provide such a bad mattress. On the positive side, the hotel has a fantastic location and the breakfast is quite good.

Our favourite hotel when staying in Prague. All kind of services at the hotel are perfect. Romes are big and clean. Location is near by all historical sites. It’s not firs time at this hotel and surely not the last time so we will be there again and again. The receptionist at the hotel Mrs. Helena was so polite to us and has done above and beyond to serve us with great professionalism.

This is definitely a gem of a hotel hidden in amongst 5 star luxury boutique establishments. The room I had was spacious and fully equipped, more 5 star than 4. The reception area is not grand by any means but the staff, particularly Marek, went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The rate had been adjusted due to Covid19 which made it great value for money. The same can be said for the Waldstein Hotel which is part of the same property. Both are conveniently located in Malá Strana and a short walk from Charles Bridge.

From the moment we checked in until the moment we left our impression of the hotel and staff was that the Three Storks oozed class and friendliness. The receptionists could not have been more helpful, advising us about Prague and where and what time to visit particular places, restaurants to eat in and trips to consider. Our rooms were large and beautifully furnished with great wardrobe and bathroom space. The breakfast was self service and had hot and cold dishes, cereals, breads and fruit. All delicious. The location was ideal, easy to cross into town or wander around the old town centre and up to the Castle. Convenient to the trams and metro station. I know that the next time we visit Prague we would not even consider staying anywhere else.
