The new Clarion Hotel Prague City**** is the ideal place for your stay. The hotel is located just 5 minutes from famous Wenceslas square, the very heart of the city, and only one metro station to Prague Congress Centre. All major sights are in easy walking distance, metro and tram stations are just around the corner. Experience the welcoming atmosphere of our restaurant breathing with history of the former market place where the fragrance of fresh baked bread filled the ait and people met to sell and buy consumable goods.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
We stayed here as part of a Jet2 city break package and it was perfectly fine. We were warmly welcomed on arrival, warned not to use the ATM in their reception due to the high cost (we used the bank across the road instead). We were given the information about breakfast time and were told just to ask if we needed anything. Our room was fine although very warm until we turned down the heating. We did request two more pillows as the one each we had were really soft. We found the bed comfortable but it was twin beds pushed together but with a separate duvet on each.
The shower is over quite a high bath and the attachment was fixed to the wall, and we had to ensure the spray was directed at the wall so that we didn’t soak the floor. The towels could do with being renewed as they were quite rough and one had a hole in it and they could do with being bigger.
Breakfast was good with hot and cold options, good choice of bread and pastries with cereal, fruits juice machine and coffee etc. The breakfast area isn’t very big and was a bit tight on space but it was clean and used crockery removed swiftly.
Great location , only 10 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square and if you take a walk around the local area, there’s plenty of restaurants, bars and coffee shops with a Tesco Express a couple of minutes walk away.
Overall, this is a decent budget hotel in a great location and we would probably stay again.

-I stayed at this hotel during the month of August and I have to say that all the service provided was of great quality. Cleanliness, state of preservation, comfort of rooms, location, soundproofing of rooms, treatment of receptionists and quality of food are aspects that I must highlight with a very high note.
As an appliance of relevance, comment that the buffet serves in its breakfast food of very good quality and of enough variety to start the day well. For those who practice the keto diet, here you can find eggs, bacon, tortilla, green and red peppers, yellow and white cheeses and spices.
Special mention for Pavlo, Martin and the Vietnamese boy named Adil, all from the team of receptionists who met my demands with great kindness and sympathy.
Definitely a hotel to repeat.
Greetings from a demanding guest.

My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is eco friendly so they don't clean the room every day (even changing towels) unless you request it (you hang the classic piece of paper outside the door). Very spacious and very warm room. Body cream and shower gel dispensers available. Staff at check in very helpful and smiling. Typical foreign breakfast, very abundant savory and very little sweet (two empty cakes and croissants). Yogurt with dried fruit and cereals is good. Dining room staff were normal, perhaps too hasty: while we were having breakfast they took away the already used plates. As for check out, we asked for a taxi to go to the airport and they were available to provide it to us, however we had a small mix-up when the boy at reception didn't speak English very well and didn't understand that we no longer wanted the breakfast box ( requested at check in) because we would have been able to have breakfast in the hotel. The dining room staff didn't want to let us have breakfast but in the end they understood that the mistake was theirs and everything was resolved. Great location, several tram stops nearby and we even had a small Christmas market in front of the hotel. Advised!

Terrible hotel ! Nothing in the room except shampoo and shower gel.Even there was no water in the room. And when I asked for bringing a bottle of water they told me you will be charged 4€ !!!! No housekeeping during 3 days of stay!!! Everyday morning I asked for housekeeping but when I came back hotel in the evening I faced a room as like as the room I left in the morning!!! One day morning after eating breakfast, My 9 years old daughter take in her hand some dried fruit from the breakfast buffet to eat and as we walking out, one of the personnel came to us and took those from my daughter’s hand!!!!! I have never seen such behaving in any other hotels.

Central hotel and therefore great location to reach the various attractions to see. Alas, however, for a 4-star I expected a little more. Assuming that in 5 days that we stayed there, we were cleaned the room only the first two days. Then nothing more. And this involves towels not being changed regularly, and no cleaning of the room, even when we were leaving another couple complained about the same thing. Too bad because the staff is very nice and friendly! but from a four star hotel you expect a little more

Clean and comfortable - really appreciated the Air condition. Easy access to city centre - around 30 mins walk, few minutes on tram (stop 50 meters away) or BOLT cars. Very eco friendly hotel - very impressed with signs highlighting this and even the room key card is made up of wood rather than those hard plastic. Good breakfast and very helpful staff.

Very central, close to both tram points and metro station. Modern and nicely decorated, good choice at breakfast, although the orange juice was SO diluted, it tasted of nothing. Room was OK - the bath was VERY deep and difficult to get into it you are short; there is no directional holder for the shower head on the wall, so you have to leave the shower head in the bath, and hold it when you are showering. I thought there was no plug near the mirror for my own hairdryer, until the last day when I spotted one, while coming out of the bathroom - a foot back underneath the bottom shelf of the wardrobe - I would have had to crawl on hands and knees to plug anything in!! The beds were VERY uncomfortable - 2 single beds pushed together (we had booked a double) and the pillows... I can honestly say they were the WORST pillows I have had in any hotel in the world: a large pillow case, which appeared to be a third filled with cotton wool balls, absolutely no support whatsoever - I slept SO badly. Despite being in such a convenient position, we won't stay here again because of the beds/pillows.

This was the second time we stayed at the Prague Clarion on Tylovo Namesti. There's a reason for that. We chose it again because it fit our needs to a T. It's near transportation. It's near restaurants. It's near things to do. But also because we had a great stay here back in October 2022. The rooms are spacious enough for two people. They are clean, simply decorated, and up-to-date. The bathroom has plenty of room to spread out. And at the breakfast buffet we got to make sure we had at least one filling and tasty meal a day, even if we couldn't decide on what to eat as a group later. So many choices! And the staff is fantastic. From the front desk manager to housekeeping staff to those who run the dining room, they were all friendly, professional, and caring. My only difficulty was getting in and out of the tub. I'm short and the sides on the tub are high. Once in, the water pressure is firm and hot water is there right away. All of this and a lovely view of the square from our window, We plan on visiting Prague again in the fall. I know where I want to stay!

Pros: Guys from the reception are very polite and attentive. They communicate well in English. We had breakfast included. It was delicious with everything what you need to eat for breakfast. They have non stop reception. Room was very clean. Tv, fridge, electric kettle, iron machine included. Bathroom was clean and neat. Towels and bed lines are changed every 3 days or you can write what you need (bed lines, towels, toilet paper) and they are bringing it on the same day.
The hotel is very close to the metro station, to several tram stations. There were days when we walked to the Old city, 25 minutes walk. Check out is at 12 pm. We had plenty of time to have some walks in the city till getting to the airport.
Cons: After making the reservation and paid the full amount, at the check in date they tried to retriger the same amount. It was a mistake and they were sorry about it. It is good we did not have that amount on our card.

A delusion. It's not a 4 star. It deserves the excellent location close to everything but the rooms are old and dated. The photos, perhaps, refer to a renovated floor because my room was old, with a chipped bathroom, there was a tub where if you took a shower everything splashed. The smile was forgotten apart from the two foreign guys at the reception (Sharif and the perhaps Indian one, on duty on the 4th morning). I found the floor full of hair (so the bathroom wasn't done) and the lady also got weirded out. Breakfast limited in sweet and abundant in salt. My son is lactose intolerant and there was no milk; do me the favor of asking For the next day, I find it very cold, I ask to be able to make the child a cappuccino (there was a cappuccino machine in the living room) and they tell me that they couldn't in the kitchen. I ask to heat it up and they bring it to burn level. The child was heating the sliced bread and they say that you can only put brioche there (at least change the photo in the room which is misleading). Waiters in the room always very annoyed. At this point I underlined everything.
