I was here with a group and I agree with what was written here. Generally very good option for a couple of days if you plan to be in the city or elsewhere. The room is big, comfy, the toilet is separated from the bathroom. All facilities present except for the AC which is a big problem over summer. The fan was not sufficient but we managed since the weather changed and was not too hot like the first day. Plus our room faced the back of the hotel, the big parking lot which was almost empty so had no problem opening the window or sleeping. The fridge was too hot and seemed not to be working although it had a back section which was cold. I did complain but was told that nothing could be done. Breakfast was plentiful and always refilled. All in all, a great option if the price is not too high. Our group price for 3 days was more that we bargained for, meaning I am sure we could not find anything cheaper and better in the city. I would go back again. It is a new and clean hotel with good breakfast unlike most European hotels of that range, so if you plan to spend most time in the city, this is a great option to spend a night. There is a Lidle shop up the hill, 10 minutes away. Buses and metro are on time so a quick way to the city is guaranteed.…
This hotel is fine, but not fantastic. Not sure what the four stars stand for... It's a budget hotel and as such is not overpriced. The rooms are clean and spacious and perfectly fine for a short stay - there is a mobile fan and a hairdryer and plenty of storage space. The beds are comfortable enough and the every day room cleaning service is very good. The breakfast is simple, but nice and perfectly fine for a good start of the day. The reception is friendly and always willing to help you along the way. Airport taxi pick-up service is recommended (1000 koruna or 40 euros). Just a few things to manage your expectations: - bring earplugs and a facemask if travelling in summer. The hotel is hot and you will want to have the windows open. There is a lot of street noise and the curtains are not blocking the light properly, so 5 am wake-up is not uncommon. - the shower is placed in the bath tub. Certainly not convenient for the old/frail/very tall/unhandy amongst us. - the mini fridge did not work and was warmer than the room itself. - there is a bus stop closeby that will take you to a metro station, that leads into the city center. Make sure to get your public transport card before you get to the hotel, because there is no proper way of getting one at or closeby the hotel (the ticket machine 15 min walk away was broken upon my visit). Alternative: taxi or use the PID mobile app (which worked really well). - 10 minute walk to get to the Campus entrance. - Pass the hotel towards the tree hill and you will find a restaurant for a nice and affordable czech dinner.…
We have just finished our 2 week stay at this hotel & we had a great time. We were on the 7th floor with views of the forest & it was beautiful. The room was spacious with separate toilet. It was clean & well looked after with the cleaning done everyday. Every member of staff we met was polite & helpful. Particularly the boys on breakfast who assisted us with the public transport (193 bus takes you to Budêjovická subway station or 138 bus takes you to Kacerov station) Special thanks to Adela who was amazing with everything we asked for!! She helped with food delivery,Czech websites & some general stuff where she went above & beyond for us. I'd also like to thank the cleaners. Who (despite the language barrier ) provided my favourite fruit tea bags everyday! The breakfast has a wide variety of cereal & hot food on a buffet. Plenty of coffee, juice & pastries! Although this hotel is further out of the centre it's quiet & a really beautiful area. We took many forest walks & there are plenty of parks which kept our daughter occupied (20 months old) It's sad to see negative reviews but everyone is entitled to their opinion. If we needed to we would stay here again though because we had an excellent experience…
Warning to English speaking visitors Front desk is not friendly and you will have to pay daily for parking even it your reservations say FREE Parking. Ripp off Hotel. We had a bad experience as soon as we arrived to the Hotel. The front desk guy "Petr" is not a kind person. We asked him a simple question about parking and where we should park since they had the front parking closed off. He then told us we had to park in the rear and we would have to pay daily for parking. We informed him our reservations stated we had free parking. He then snapped at us and his face got red telling us if we didnt book our room from their website then parking isn't free. We explained that Expedia clearly shows on our reservations we have free parking. He then told us if we want to park at the hotel we have to pay. Doesn't matter what Expedia says. They know how to screw people over. Nobody would ever know this hotel existed if not for Expedia, hotels.com or booking.com. The rest of the staff was very friendly and kind. Petr continued to be rude until the last day and a there was a new lady at the front desk. She was way better with service than Petr. Bathroom shower is short, no shower curtains and the water is light brown. Don't drink the water. Plus take your valuable belongings out of your vehicle because the parking area behind the building is sketchy and dark. Theres no entrance to the building from the parking area so you have to walk all the way back around the hotel to get to the front entrance. Easy for someone to get robbed or car broken into.…
We visited here for four nights in September/October and the hotel itself is lovely! Very clean and decently presented for the price you actually pay to stay here! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. The staff were also very helpful and their English brilliant when we needed anything. If your going on a tourist holiday this is the downside of the hotel. Your completely out of the way and it’s around an hours public transport into Prague city (£4 per day) and the closest down is around 20 minutes on the bus. Overall we had a lovely time here and Prague itself is a very decently priced placed to visit.
Very disappointed with the standard. It says 4 stars, I would give not more than 2. Spacy rooms but with poor design and quite not attractive interior. Breakfast was a disaster - Old sausages and hams. The Service was very slow and sleepy. Not a good choice!
An evaluation point for Emmy hotel, from 1 to 10; well, let me say never again. This hotel was written to be a 4 star hotel but if that is true, it must be a strange scale system from 1 to 50 stars than, so that they may get a 4 star, I believe. Their biggest frontal sign (picture 1) summarize the fact. As you can clearly see, you can only notice two letters (..TE..) from HOTEL. The other letters fading away had to be a clue for us by our entrance about hotel sign clearly showed what we were about to experience :) picture 1 By our entrance to reception the staff was unbelieveably rude and with long-faces. We did not understand what was going on but they seemed really disturbed by our check-in. Their English was so poor that it was almost impossible to maintain a decent conversation. Rest of the staff at the restaurant and all other areas, were not able to speak a word English. As we entered the room, we saw that our bed was two single beds. We went back to reception and requested for a room change because we did not want to sleep seperated, But they said "No!" That was it. We stayed in that room for 3 nights in different beds. The room also was fantastic :) As seen clearly from photo 2, if you turn the tv on, the only way to watch it was to stand infront of it. From the bed, you can see only the left side of tv :) not the screen. In picture 3, there was a machine on the wall, we could not discover what it was but probably a strange 1980's AC machine which produces a terrible loud sound. When it works it is not possible to sleep in the room because it is really noisy. It also was covered with dirt, terrible. Photo 4 is a shampoo plastic bag for single use only, you receive 1 per day. If you decide to take a shower again, not possible with a shampoo unfortunately :) you can only have water. On the other hand, room was full of danger and adventure. For example the sign on the bathroom wall, photo number 5: warns you about the way you shower, if you let the water reach out of the bathroom accidentaly, the punishment is " MINIMUM" 250 Euros. What???!! what does that "minimum" mean? for example may that fee be 5000 Euros? C'mooooon, what is that ? This hotel still is stuck to the USSR era. What is that mean, so rude! Breakfast was just o.k. Nothing original actually. But staff is so angry again, not a word in English. If you accidently make an eye contact with one of that staff, they look back at you with almost " hatred". Unbelievable indeed. Our accomodation was terrible, so if you ask me, please stay at somewhere else. Do not do the same mistake.…
The Emmy Hotel claims to be a four star hotel, but when you consider it's services, features, location and staff it far from a four staff hotel. At best a three. The location is a major draw back and although the hotel does admit that it is well outside the old town, it does not tell you that you have to walk about 500 meters along a major road and wait for bus to get to metro stop which is 6 stops away from all of the attractions. You can get use to this, but it's not what you expect of a four star hotel and you would hope that other features would help over come this disadvantage. They don't. The room is very basic, and while clean is through back to an eighties style room with a tv to match, with not one Enghlish channel. I asked twice and was ignored. Breakfast was without question a complete and total waste of time. How can you run out of tomatoes, even a 3 star will have an English description of each offer. The music in the dinning room should not be talk back radio at full volume. The staff can best be described as acceptable. Most have little to no English and are quiet useless at answering the most basic questions. Finally l ask all travelers, have you ever heard of a four star hotel that closes it's so called bar at 10.00. The hotel is located on a major road and the view from room is a housing block across the road. There is NO ROOM SERVICE and no shop with a mile of the hotel. This hotel is designed for groups (the coach space out front gives it away) it's great if your German or Austrian driving over and can work if you are on a limited budget. It is not for someone who wants to experience everything that Prague can offer.…
+ rich buffet breakfast + free parking and wi-fi + good location - wi-fi very very slow and unstable ! - room needed wider curtain and a bit more cleaning of spiderwebs - hotel was rebuilt from an old flat block
Horrible.. the room is old, dirty walls, diety carpet, lamps. The glasses in my room were so dirty it made me feel sick! Breakfast are at very low quality level. Staff at the reception is more ignoring than helping. To borrow an iron is impossible... I’ve been to 2* hotels and they were better quality than this “4*”..
