From the moment we checked in we were treated with great care and consideration. Our room upgrade surpassed all hopes, we actually were given an apartment that included a kitchenette...tucked away in a quiet corner of the Spa building. Everything about the room was special...and the exclamation point was the incredibly appointed, spacious bathroom. Our new best friend in Prague, Michael who checked us in, went out of his way again and again to ensure we had everything we needed on and off the property. Even a hot warm pack and herbal packet crafted for a toothache remedy at 11pm! Wonderful stay, will be our go to in Prague!

We enjoyed staying here for a few days while fun Prague. Well located on the castle side of the river in a calm and comfortable setting. Certainly limited by the old buildings used for this hotel, the rooms are very nice and functional. Nothing over the top though ... like all of the hotel is missing a little bit of the exquisite tough and feel otherwise common in Mandarin Hotels. For example, the walkway to the elevator could have also been in a higher-end clinic or office building. Or the lack of a water cannel in the room or proper wine glasses was a little surprising for this level of hotel. Maybe a 4.5 star venue ... and not 5 stars.

Dear michaelh242 Thank you very much for your TripAdvisor review and we are glad you had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We take your feedback on board regarding adding some additional touches and will be looking at the wine glasses as our rooms would usually have wine glasses available in the mini-bar cabinet! Thank you again and we hope to welcome you back.

The service was quite good at the hotel. We had an upgrade with our American Express Platinum card. The room was located in the Spa building and was a bit dated and in a strange location removed from the rest of the hotel. The bathroom was quite small.

Dear spike0506 Thank you for taking the time to submit a TripAdvisor Review and for your comments. We are glad you enjoyed the service while with us! We note your upgraded accommodation was in our Spa Wing. The hotel comprises several historic buildings which were eventually joined into a single complex. The Spa occupies the oldest part of the hotel and dates from the 16th Century. Please do not hesitate to let us know on a future visit your preference for a room in a different wing as each wing has its own character and history and due to the age of the Spa wing, every room is of a different size and layout. I do hope you managed to see the original ruins of the St Mary Magdalene church which records show dates back to 1330 and prior. The remains have been carefully preserved and are now illuminated under the Spa's glass floor. We hope to welcome you again!

Yesterday I had the misfortune of having chosen the Mandarin Oriental Prague. My plane landed at 11pm, but the hotel did not offer room service anymore - only until 10 pm. So I had to find a McDonalds close by. This is not what you would expect for a hotel that charged me EUR 660 per night. On the plus side, the staff is very nice and we’ll trained. The rooms, however, are slightly dated and worn. To make it short - I will not return.

Dear petri1302 Thank you very much for taking the time to write about your experience and I was sorry not to have seen you on departure. Hopefully you received my email just after you left as I would have liked to speak and apologize in person. We really appreciate the kind words on the colleagues who however were unable to accommodate your request for late-night dining. While we continue to operate on limited services in Food & Beverage, we are able to accommodate special requests so should you be travelling to Prague again and should you decide to actually give us another chance, we would welcome the opportunity to be in touch prior so we can make sure that on this next stay, all goes exceptionally smoothly. Thank you again for having taken the time to share your feedback.
