It's an amazing & relaxing hotel situated in a quiet part of Prague BUT very very accessible by tram, just 2 mins away. You can walk to very scenic Charles Bridge and cross over to the old town in just a few minutes. Our daughter had to leave at 530 in the morning for the airport, we requested for a... More

Everything from the staff to the spa was amazing at the Mandarin Oriental, Prague! The bar and restaurant within the hotel were also one of the best in Prague. There is no where else you should stay during your trip to Prague.

This hotel is one of my favorites. It's so elegant and comforting. I adore the decor and size of the rooms. To me, the Four Seasons doesn't even come close. Everyone is so pleasant and eager to help. The location is perfect. Can't say enough good things about this place. I wish I could afford to stay here more often!!

This really is not a five star hotel. Poor internet is coupled by relatively indifferent dining and uncomfortable public lounges. I had a loft bedroom with deeply sloping ceilings and a minuscule bathroom. The Four Seasons remains Prague's only luxury hotel. Unfortunately, the Mandarin Oriental does not pass muster.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
