I stayed for 2 nights here, it was an average hotel to rest your head at night. The hotel was quiet & there was no elevator so good thing I was backpacking. The room was nice, some noise from outside even with the window closed. The bathroom wasn't that nice, so didn't use the shower. Breakfast was included & very... More

We spent 3 days in Prague, and stayed at the Colloseum. Very reasonably priced and well worth the money. Clean and comfortable bedroom (beds were a wee bit small), an adequate bathroom and a well stocked continental buffet breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. The hotel is in a superb location, easy walking distance from Wencleslas square, the old town and all... More

I just returned from this hotel. As you can see from the picture, the room looked pretty good, also the bathroom, so I wonder if they refurbished, as pictures I see from others look much worse. The price we paid was amazing, only 30,-gbp per night. Right now I see that prices are much much much bigger?! Location is just... More

The hotel has good location, nice service and good buffet breakfast. View is to the inner yard. Bathroom is a bit dirty and lacks few convenient things. Pipe of sink at bathroom was filled with trash (almost not working), it's bad piping you can see at the picture. breakfast was nice, - big choice, good service. Dark in the room... More

Great location, if you want to explore Prague. Close to metro station and main places to see. Hotel and rooms are quite simple, don't expect luxury for this price. But everything is clean and cleaning service done everyday.

The only good thing here is the location. Unfriendly crew, dirty rooms, hall, towels ( in my room 1. had 5 holes 2. 3holes). Do not leave anything in the room, my IPad has been stoled, it because the room was closed and don't disturb hanging outside. I pays the room in advance, otherwise wood never stay there. Do not... The hotel is very well connected to the tram and the underground. Prague's highlights are just around the corner: Charles' bridge, Kafka Museum, The ancient city, The jewish district ( which has the oldest synagoga in Europe), the dansing house, prague castle ( by tram) etc etc... True, the hotel is very basic but it was really what we needed... More

The hotel itself isn't in a bad location, just a fifteen minute walk from the Old Town. However, there were a few minor problems we had during our stay. The towels provided were three hand towels and were inadequate for showering. The Wifi did not work the first day at all, and was hit and miss on the second. You... More

Very reasonable price. Nothing fancy, but a fine hotel for those on a budget. Friendly and helpful staff. Not far from old town. Comfortable beds (but the shower stalls could use a soap ledge...) I recommend this to those looking for a good quality three-star hotel.

Large room with very nice staff who were happy to help. The walk to the old town took around 15 minutes (give or take a wrong turn). Our front facing room could be a bit loud with the sound of trams and if I was staying longer would have been a deal breaker. Minor criticisms were that the wifi was... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
