The Hastal Hotel is probably the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in throughout Europe! The staff is always willing to assist the guests and to do all they can to make sure the stay in Prague is enjoyable. As one of the clerks told us, they try to treat each guest as if they were family! And we certainly... More

Our room was neat, clean, and comfortable. English speaking staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. Extensive breakfast buffet was included, with good (not great) food. Added benefit was self-serve no charge espresso machine in lobby. Location was excellent, just a few blocks from old town square, numerous restaurants and pastry shops.

The hotel is just fitting for the old world charm of the city. The bathrooms are new and very nice. The rest is older style from the design to the room keys on a peg board behind desk. Only complaint is a little noisy but not a deal breaker.

Perfect Location just far enough from old town square to be quiet but close enough to get where you need with ease. Really comfy beds and good variety of choices at buffet breakfast. Charming period building recently renovated. Staff unobtrusive but more than willing to help. Lots of little things make life easier, free safe deposit boxes, free capsule coffe... More

Hotel Hastal was in a great location and we had a lovely two night stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. They served a full breakfast each morning.

This is a charming older hotel on a quiet street with lots of restaurants, a short walk from the Old Town Square and quite near the tram line to the Lesser Town and Castle District. The rooms were on the small side, but clean and well-arranged, with comfortable beds. The staff was very helpful with recommendations and directions, even helping... More

We had a lovely stay at this hotel in August this year. Was above our expectations given some of the previous reviews and presentation. Very good location, close to everything in old town but quiet at night, overseeing a little square and a church. Staff were very friendly and helpful, also loved that there were coffee and tea facilities in... More

Just for sleeping could be accepted but the room is realy small. The walls are very thin and you will hear all noise from other rooms. The same remarks concerning size of shawer in bathroom. For my opinion price for night higher than 100 Eur is a little to much

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
