We arrived at the hotel late in the evening, welcomed by the pleasant reception man. Very decent sized rooms. The hotel hot water was more luke warm and had to sleep with window open as the room was quite warm but extremely quiet and a good night sleep. Stayed 3 nights. Lots of restaurants within 1 to 2 mins walk. Tram stop 5 min walk and verycheap travel and you could walk back from the centre. Took us 25 mins from the Old Town (up hill though) We were happy with this hotel and would stay again as it was such good value.
I wrote this review with tears in my eyes with how disrespectful and toxic the staff is. The service is toxic and they are extremely rude people. I thought it would be unfair not to advice people to stay wherever but here if they are willing to value each penny they spent to visit this country. I still have 2 days to go and I don’t know how I am going to be able to make it, it will be torture everytime I have to come back to this ‘hotel’, if you can call it hotel, that is.
Checked in on 10th June, reception were very friendly and kind. The room was clean and well presented, everything in full working order, comfortable bed and a quiet night's sleep. Would highly recommend for a stop off in Prague.
We stayed here for 3 nights and was allocated this hotel from a package city break we purchased. NEVER. AGAIN. We actually could not believe our luck when we entered the hotel. It felt like we went back in time 50 years. The rooms were small, dark, quite creepy, dated furniture and bedding etc. most staff were friendly, others not so. We didn’t have hot water or heating for most of our stay and we chose to stay out of our room for as long as possible so that we didn’t have to stay there… definitely would not recommend…
I’ve stayed in hotel Claris for three nights in beautiful Barcelona, with service option BB, with my friend. The hotel location is good, in city center, but room for two person was smaller than usual. The bathroom amenities were poor - for istance two shower gel bottles were so small that it coudn’t be used for shower niether one person, and we got two in total, so we need to purcase additional shower gel. The bed was pretty comfortable, though. The breakfast was ok, but with same offer during whole stay (not big choise for fruit and pastry), not really typical for five star hotel. The hotel staff is pleasent but willing to assist only during your stay - if you have any problem - don’t count! For instance - I have forgotten my shirt ( not an ordinary one) but while we exiting the room to do check out, cleaning lady was finishing the room next to ours, and entered our - as soon as we got out. I’ve realised that I’ve forgotten my shirt as soon as I got back home ( the same day) and urgently contacted the hotel .The response I got that day and next ten days was they din’t find nothing. They didn’t want to provide any assistance and didn’t want to consider the option of compensation in any way. So, if you decide to visit this definitely NOT five star hotel, take care about your belongings, if you don’t want to miss them in future. I certainly won’t visit it ever again!…
Most of reception staff friendly with the exception of one woman who was very rude. A few problems with our room but these were fixed fairly promptly - one of the lights didn't work in the bedroom and seemed to be an electrical issue, then the bath plug got stuck while showering giving us a foot bath. Shower was a handheld situation but good temperature and pressure. No safe in room. Booked a double room and got 2 single mattresses in a double frame with 2 single duvets. Asked for extra pillows as they weren't very firm but only one was able to be found. Breakfast very average - grey coffee and not a lot of variety. Decor very outdated. Feels more 2 star.
Everything was fine, except the last night because the guy working at the reception (it was someonelse every night) talked so loud with a client at 1:15 am during 10 mn just in front of our room's door that he woke me up. He was talking very loud like if he was in a pub and not at all at 1:15 am in an hotel with people sleeping in their rooms. I had to get out of my room to ask him to shut up and after this I could'nt sleep before 3am ! It's a shame that this is the memory that will remain of this stay in this hotel while without this indelicacy, it would have been very good
To start off with the woman on reception was extremely hostile and rude, we then went on to receiving our room key which lead us to a single room with another pull out bed from inside a wardrobe (which is not the double bed room we booked). We was then greeted with more hostility and aggression from the reception who claimed it was "our problem and not hers". After a few phone calls which I can only assume went through to her manager we finally got the double room we had originally booked (after 30 minutes of messing around) on top of this there was alarms, hoovering and loud noises coming from the staff which would start off around 7/8am. We will not be staying here again and would advise this is not an ideal place for someone looking for a nice weekend away.
Nice place with economical rates. The place is nice and clean. Staff is shy, but helping though. They have few rooms at a little far away location known as Abacta Residences. And there is no 24 hrs reception nor room service.
nice location..near metro and trams ..15mins walk to wenceslao square that is very near to old town square..there are cafe, pubs, restaurants, minimarkets nearby, near st ludmila church and the pavillion..
