The Alchymist hotel offers old world furnishings accented with gold paint. The rooms are tastefully furnished with an adjoining foyer and bathroom. The complementary breakfast is good with a selection of the usual meats and vegetables. The dinning room is tastefully furnished with an attentive staff to make your experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, what could have been a more enjoyable experience... More

My family had a great time in Alchymist Grand hotel and Spa. Starting from sparkling wine as welcome and continue with nice atmosphere in hotel lobby . Very profesional service all over and nice dinner. But what make more fun and nice isthe wine and cheese and location of the hotel. We have been before in the hotel and we... More

This is an exceptionally charming, beautiful and well run hotel. The public rooms are full of baroque over-the-top charm, comfortable gilded wood and cushion covered sofas everywhere and "cabinets of curiosities". Bliss to sink into its comfort and enjoy free wine and cheese from 5 to 6. Breakfast is exceptional if you can bear to leave your comfortable bedroom by... More

We stayed at this hotel to celebrate my 60th birthday, from the 24th - 27th August. When you first enter the courtyard area of the hotel the staff are always there to greet you, so polite and willing to help. Our experience was memorable on a special occasion. The hotel is in an area that is walkable to the busier... More

Very well located … tucked away in a peaceful surrounding and yet just minutes away from Charles Bridge by walk. Nestled in a Baroque building with a private courtyard, this hotel is a dream stay. Rooms are well equipped and are decorated in old world style with carved wooden furniture and golden trims. And of course the Spa… needs a... More

This was a truly brilliant stay in a hotel that oozes class and professionalism. The hotel itself is charming and glamorous at the same time. There were so many different lounge rooms, sitting areas that you could choose from for a drink or reading a book in beautiful surrounds. The room was spacious with a large enough bathroom and good... More

My husband booked this hotel for our five year anniversary! Stayed from September 6th to September 9th. It truly is a five star hotel hotel! We took a taxi here which was about 650 Kc, however they do have a hotel car and if you reserve it, you can be picked up from the hotel for 40 euros I think,... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
