We paidand extraordinary amount of money for our weeks stay. We expected a lot more for our buck.

Room was small and dirty when we first moved in.
The staff at the reception does not always speak or understand English. We asked for towels because our room hadn't been cleaned for the 3rd day in a row and they just made up some lie in broken english.

The breakfast was a joke. We are well traveled and we have never ever seen a worse breakfast buffet even at smaller not well established places.
By far if you get an option to add a breakfast I would most certainly opt out.

The beds are uncomfortable. Pillows were our source for Terrible back pain for a whole week. If you are any taller or heavier than I the blankets will not fit you.

The whole hotel is carpeted and because we didnt receive any room cleaning for 3 days at one point, it gets pretty dirty during the winter months.

The only few positive things I have to add are that it's ok positioned for you to walk about the city.
They give you tiny pillows in addition to the regular big lumps that are great for additional support for your back.
Our room had a bathtub which was the only thing that somewhat saved my stay here.

All in all after staying here for a week we feel like we have been cheated out of our money for what we ended up receiving during our stay.

I stayed at the Clarion Hotel Prague Old Town for 3 nights while visiting Prague with my family right before Christmas. We booked a superior room, which was of generous size with a double bed, a separate bed for the child, a large bathroom and even a tiny balcony. There was no noice disturbance at all, having a room facing the backyard probably helped in that regard. The room, as the rest of the hotel, appeared to be a bit old fashioned and could need an upgrade. Especially the extra bed was totally worn out, and very uncomfortable even for my 7-year old daughter. Breakfast was average with most of what I expected but nothing extra. Very convenient location with walking distance to everything of interest.

We had a great stay at the Clarion Hotel. The room was clean, fresh, modern and in excellent condition. The 3 nights stay was very comfortable. The staff were excellent, very professional and a credit to the hotel. We had breakfast each morning consisting of hot and cold items. There was lots of choice and of good quality. Its a 15 minutes walk to the town square, but it takes you through areas of the city that’s not that crowded. We had a great time. Thank you Clarion for making the stay so welcoming too.

PS. Take comfortable walking shoes. You don’t realise the amount of ‘steps’ you take walking around, finding something different in every street.

This hotel is great value in a convenient location with helpful and friendly staff. Our room on the 5th floor, was comfortable, clean and with plenty of space. The kettle and fridge were very welcome. The breakfast had a fantastic variety and was regularly replenished. There were only a few minor issues. The lighting in the room could be improved and the left luggage room should be locked if there is no one on reception. However, I would certainly recommend it to friends and family.

Stayed over new year holiday 2019/20. Good location for sightseeing across Prague 1, old town area and main squares. Old Town Sq is about 15 min walk, Charles Bridge is about 20 mins. Hotel has all the basics right, rooms were reasonable size, quiet, nice cotton bedding. Bathroom had lots of hot water.
Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices.
Just around the corner was The Orange Bar which was a great place for a drink.
We would recommend and stay again.

Just home after a lovely few days in Prague. Hotel is in an ideal location for getting out & about. Two minute walk to tram stop & five minute walk from old town square if you go threw the lovely little streets out the back of the hotel. Also closefor a river walk to Chatles bridge.Very clean, always a lovely fresh smell as you came in the door to the reception. Staff were all friendly. Breakfast was ok only complaint was asked could we get some toast & was told no way of toasting the bread. Cleaner in the room everyday. Rooms were so warm we turned the heating of altogether. Would recommend this hotel.Prague is definitely a must see city.

l and my husband were booked at the Clarion Old Town Prague by Albatross Tours in
Australia as part of a tour itinerary. It is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at in my life. The hotel has a very tiny lobby overflowing with group luggage and on 2 of our 3 days we could not walk across the floor. Our room was miniscule. We had to climb over the bed to get to the door or bathroom. The carpet was stained by flooding from the bathroom (see photo). The bedding was a joke. The pillow was totally flat (see 2nd photo). There was no top sheet and the quilt was 30 inches wide (see 3rd photo), so I woke up totally uncovered many times a night. The breakfast room was too small for the number of guests, with no ventilation as the windows didn't open. A real covid hotspot to be avoided. I complained to Albatross Tours but they told me I was imagining things. Don't trust them. They told us we were supposed to get a superior, but that the hotel put us in a standard room. But it is not just the room. It’s the entrance with a broken front step. It’s the total lack of lunch and dinner facilities. It’s the barren concrete stairwells. Calling it a 4 star is a joke. It is a 2 star hotel.

Dear Patricia H., The first at all let me thank you for your recent stay and Your feedback, even it is not nice reading for us. However, we will try to learn our lesson from your review, to make your next stay or stay of other guests in future better. I am really sorry that you consider us as one of the worst hotels you ever stayed. I am sure we can do it better way, and I would be happy if I could prove you. If You will be planning the new trip to Prague or Czech Republic, please let me know directly, and we will work something to make you forgot about the Your last stay. However: 1) There was accidental shaffle of room categories, what we are really sorry about it. We were solving this issue with Albatross...and such a thing should not happen again. But I Do believe if you would complain directly at reception, they would change your room... 2) The sizes almost of everything are bit smaller here in Europe to compare with USA, moreover if consider that hotel building is originally from 30´S of 20 the century. The smallest room in our hotel has 20m2, what is actually not so bad for Europe. 3)I am afraid, that tiny lobby you had visited at rush hours, when several groups with porterage was leaving at the same time, - than the lobby was the place to organize all baggage. And state of lobby describes by you for sure was not last for 24/7, was it. 4) The size of our breakfast room is sufficient, and in once we are able to accommodate there 70% of our guests in once, Also, the breakfast is served in wide time range 06:30-10:00 (10:30weekends) to spread the amount of the customers there. (Rarely happens that all the guest wants to eat the breakfast at the same time.) It is possible to open our windows, and if you asked the staff to do so, for sure they would open it (at least the closest window to your seat.) 5) As the hotel is located in downtown of Prague, there is literally hundreds of places, where you can your lunch/diner in 5 minutes walking from our hotel. As we do think it is better for our guests to not to be limited by boring hotel menu, than you have a lot of varieties in walking distance. However, in our Bar or in our Lobby Market, you can get at least basic snacks. 6) Some of the reparations can be done in a second, and it takes some planning, a finance to be realized. To fix, main entrance stairs, was one of this kind. The main stairs are repaired. If you would like to share more of your experience, please – contact me directly, it will be appreciated. With respects and regards, Michal Sajda Operations Director.

This is not a 4 star hotel. Do not fool yourself.
Positives itens: the room was spacious, including the bathroom; breakfast with good options; the location close to Prague's old town center and train stops.
Negative points: one of the front desk attendants during the day (the oldest) was very unfriendly and rude; the mattresses and pillows of the beds were terrible; room cleaning only occurs every 3 days because the alleged being ecological; the room has a carpeted floor, which gets dusty and can contain dust mites; there is no dispenser for hand sanitizing in the breakfast room.
It is an expensive hotel for what it offers, not worth the choice just for the location.

My sister and I stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate her birthday. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful, particularly Tomas on reception. He couldn’t do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend staying here.
It’s close to everything you need nearby, main attractions are easy to get to. There’s a hop on hop off bus service right outside the hotel.
The hotel itself is very clean, housekeeping service is great and they serve a lovely breakfast. All superb value for money. If I visit Prague again I would definitely come back to this hotel.

Location is excellent. Rooms are nice, but not very spacious. Beds are fine. Cleaning is fine. Here and there some painting is required. Noise from the corridor area is a problem. If you get a room with a connecting door to another room, soundproofing is not acceptable. Personnel is friendly and helpful. No issues at check-in or check-out. Buffet breakfast is standard and not so exciting. A larger and cozy bar would be nice.

There is parking available in an underground structure. The hotel staff can arrange it, but I don't know how much it costs per day. It's also possible to park on the street IF you can find a space, but there is no guarantee that something won't happen to your car that way.
