It has a very good price per quality ratio. Good and clean rooms, good staff. The WIFI was a bit weird, disconnected by it self and was hard to connect again. Maybe to many users connected at once.... Good experience in general, would recommend.

We spent two nights at the hotel. The first impression was not so good — the reception with old, big keys hanging from the desk. The smell in the lobby was not promising.
But we got a newly renovated room, with a newly renovated modern bathroom on the 3rd floor! The room was spacious, with two big windows. It was cosy and warm in the room. The room and the bathroom were spotless.
The dining area in the basement should be a little bigger, but it did not diminish the fact the breakfast was delicious.
We would recommend this hotel.

We were lucky, we got a VERY cheap deal at £23 per night for a double room. Prices are now about £50 - £60, but even at that price, it represents value. Clean, comfortable, reasonably well located, quiet and handy for trams/ Metro. Good breakfast - No complaints.

situated about 5-10mins easy walk from the namesti muri metro stop (and therefore 10 mins from the centre of the action!), this pleasant little hotel is ideal for a budget city break. surrounding streets are quiet and safe at night. rooms are clean with decent ensuites - they just need more ventilation. outside temps were 30 degrees plus when we were there and the rooms were all so hot it was difficult to sleep! Breakfast is the usual european style help yourself, with a excellent self-serve coffee machine. The hotel does cheap drinks and basic food in a small bar area, but there are cheaper shops less than 5 mins walk away where you can stock up on anything and then keep it cool in the room fridge. if you turn left out of the hotel and take the first right then theres a nice restaurant just a minutes walk away with outside seating too. tram 22 (amongst others) also takes you to the heart of the city from 5 mins walk out of the hotel.

if you want luxury look elsewhere, but for a good value, no nonsense hotel you could do alot worse!

This is a small hotel with basic accomodation in a quiet residential area. It has few advantages, price, location - you can even walk by foot to the centre (20-30 mins), breakfast. Additionally, hotal is located close to very nice park and terrace overlooking wine trees and a city (not the old one unfortunately). We also witnessed a Czech wedding that take place nearby, which was a nice experience. All in all we would stay there again.

I needed an inexpensive place to stay for one evening for the Prague Half Marathon. The hotel rooms were comfortable and clean and the location of the hotel is in a quiet section of Prague. The staff was helpful and easy to work with. The internet was a problem (it wasn't while I was there!), but the staff noted that it was a problem and tried to fix it. Breakfast was fine. Overall it was a great place to stay for the budget traveler; it's not luxurious, but you can spend four times as much in Prague and have something not so very much better! Close location to Metro and trams makes it easy to get back and forth to Old Town and other parts of Prague. I would recommend to friends.

i was not actually staying at this hotel but the one next door.
On 28th December i opted to get a taxi to near my hotel and wait as reception is not 24/7. The taxi driver asked for money 300krona and he did not have change so asked me to ask the hotel. i went in with the taxi driver and they started to converse with each other. The person on reception this morning around 7am was not helpful. I finally asked what was happening as i dont understand and to ensure i had money to pay but if he had no change where could i get this from. The person on recpetion did not help me and just depmanded if i did not have kronas then to pay in euros to which i explained i do not have and only have GBP. when i was told the conversion i said that £12.00 was to expensive and he just demanded i paid. After the taxi driver left i was then rushed out of the hotel when i was trying to zip up my back and the reception person told me to go back to England. i said that was not right and he said well thats where you are from. having been told such great things about Prague my first 45minutes in the city was not great. I was wanting to ask the hotel to let me stay until 8am so that i coul wait to drop my bag off but then had to walk to another hotel.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of September and we honestly couldn't fault this hotel.

We had emailed a few weeks prior to our stay to ask if they would be able to store our suitcase as we had an early flight and didn't want to be stuck with it all day. We received a quick response telling us that this is a service the hotel provides. We arrived at the hotel around 10am, expecting to leave our bags and check in later. However, we were met by 3 lovely members of staff who told us we were able to check in early. This got our holiday off to a great start! We were able to leave our bags on the last day as we had a late flight on the Friday evening.

We had a room on the second floor. The room was modern, spacious and clean. All amenities were provided (we had needlessly brought our own towels after reading a previous review saying these weren't provided.)

Breakfast was good, there was bacon, sausages, boiled and scrambled egg alongside cold meats, cheeses, pastries and cereals. The staff kept the food on offer well topped up, which was good because it was busy at breakfast.

Staff were very friendly, chatty and helpful and made us feel very welcome.

The hotel is a short walk from the metro station Náměstí Míru on the A line. This made the journey to and from the airport very easy as we hopped on the 119 bus from the airport (7 stops) and boarded the metro at Nádraží Veleslavín (another 7 stops to Náměstí Míru) which took us less than an hour. There is a tram stop near the hotel, however we did not use the tram and opted to use the metro as it was only 3 stops to Old Town Square. We had bought our transport tickets at the airport but I believe you can also buy these from the hotel.
There are a number of restaurants in the area, along with a couple of supermarkets for cheap supplies should they be needed.

This hotel is excellent value for money. We hope to return to Prague next year and will definitely be staying at Hotel Machova again!

I would advise to be careful with the taxis, as many charge unregulated rates that can vary enormously. Certainly one reliable taxi company is AAA who have fixed rates for specific journeys. With 9 persons and a late at night arrival I would advise your going on line to Prague Airport Transfers for a minibus, this certainly worked well for the 7 persons in my party.

As far I know, there is a free car parking 10 min walking away from the hotel. I am not sure though. It's better to ask the reception desk via e-mail. They are really helpful There is no dinner service at the hotel. I can recommend Grosseto, a nice Italian restaurant which is 8 min walk away or 1 tram ride from the hotel. You can see my review about that place from my profile. There are lot of other nice restaurants within 3 tram stop away. Have a nice time in Prague
