The Hotel Residence Retezova was a wonderful place to stay for our first trip to Budapest. The staff at the hotel were wonderfully helpful and our room was delightful. The hotel cafe has good food. Only complaint, no valet parking and hotel on residential street. Consequently, you must park car in public lot and carry luggage several hundred meters to... More

My husband and I booked the Rio de Janeiro room for two nights for 90 euros/night through Orbitz.com. We arrived by train from Vienna and were able to easily navigate our way to the Retezova through the metro system and walking (we printed a map of the area off of google-maps before leaving home). The room was excellent. A small... More

We stayed in the hotel's 'Madrid' room. It was extremely well presented and furnished to a high standard, with beautiful original ceilings. The kitchen area, although small, contained everything needed and was clean and hygienic. The hotel staff were very friendly, spoke perfect English and made an effort to greet you at every meeting and answer any queries. The room... More

Had five really enjoyable days with my family (4 kids, 5 adults and 2 seniors) in Prague in late February, with a lot of assistance from the staff at Retezova, who bent over backwards to accomodate our every wish, even at the shortest of notice. Situated in the middle of the old town, the area is very "touristy" as far... More

We stayed several nights at this hotel over Christmas. We are a family of 7 and booked to adjoining apartments. They were spacious, clean and modern and full of charm. The location was perfect. Central to everything, two minutes from the central square or Charles Bridge (easy to stop and rest and head out again). They are situated on a... More

We found this hotel through the ratings system on tripadvisor. It was spot on. Not too expensive and well worth the money considering the great location. We stayed here for 4 nights and found it faultless. It's within 5 minutes of the Charles Bridge and Prague old town. Spotless rooms in excellent condition. We were up-graded to the New York... More

We stayed at the Retezova Residence for four nights in January 2010. This is a 17th century building and the apartment has exposed beams an thick walls which reflect construction from that period. There were three of us staying in the “London” serviced apartment. There is plenty of space (including access to a mezzanine study and terrace) and a reasonably... More

We stayed in the Berlin room between Christmas and New Years. Located behind reception you do get a bit of noise but the bedroom can be closed off so this wasn't an issue. Lovely large apartment, very very warm and nice to relax in. I loved the shower, which was a luxury to jump into after trapsing around Prague in... More

Hotel-Residence Retezova **** was perfectly located in the old town, off a quiet street but still very close to the main square and the bridge. Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
