We stayed in the Apartment Berlin and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights there. The hotel was a great value (~€100 a night in the high season) and perfectly situated on a quiet street in the Old Town. The main city attractions are easily walkable to and a metro stop is only 5-min away. It is a 5-min walk to the...

We had a great stay here. It's a really cozy and intimate appartment-hotel. The room/ appartment with two bathrooms was nicely furnitured, clean and big enough to accomodate the five of us (3 adults and 2 teenagers). Personnel service was friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic, within walking distance of all the touristic attractions. In my opinion...

We stayed here for 3 nights before Christmas. We had the London Suite, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a loft/kitchen. The apartment was large and spacious and the bathrooms were clean and comfortable. There is also a living room with TV. The historic elements, like the beams, were kept and the floors were hard wood. Our only complaint would...

We stayed at the Residence Retezova for 3 nights at the Madrid room. The room was spacious and comfortable with great hot shower (which was very aprricieted at the end of long day of walking in winter). The staff is friendly and helpful and the hotel is quiet, cozy and warm. But the real story is the location - quiet...

It was the perfect place from which to explore Prague: fabulous location (5 minutes from the Charles Bridge in the historic center), incredibly helpful staff and clean comfortable units. We booked the Madrid Apartment and would have been happy in it (we looked at it for future reference.) However, we were upgraded to the Paris Apartment, which was extremely roomy...

My wife and I spent 3 days at this hotel. We originally booked the Rio de Janero room however upon arrival we were upgraded to the Paris room which is on the top floor (level 3 I think it was). The Paris room is a split level apartment with a double bed and bathroom upstairs and 2 singles and a...

OUr expectations of Retezova were already high due to the wonderful reviews on TripAdvisor. However, it still managed to exceed our expectations!! I travelled with my mum and we loved every bit of it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (even sending on my mum's coat, which was left in the suite, to Australia for us!). We stayed in...

We were thrilled with our stay at this hotel! The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and lovely. The location was perfect - within walking distance of the Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, wonderful restaurants, etc., but it was quiet at night with the windows properly closed. We also felt very safe in this neighborhood as we did throughout the city....

We recently stayed in the Berlin Suite for 3 nights. The location of the hotel was ideal. The Berlin Suite is located behind the front desk so you do hear the phone ringing and people coming and going. The room needs to be insulated and carpeting in the lobby/ stairwell to keep the noise levels at a minimum. The Cafe...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
