The staff here were lovely and attentive, however the food was only ok. My lamb cutlets were so tough and I had about five mouthfuls of meat and that was it. The potato croquettes were lovely though. My partner had the beef steak and vegetables in which the beef was so chewy it took him ages to eat it. Its... More

Overpriced, no actual bill - just a piece of paper with no orders on it, just the price. Payed approximately 17€ for three cups of coffe and three glasses of regular water - not gonna make the same mistake twice.

We went to this wonderful cafe on our last holiday to Prague so when we were in Prague this year this was always a place we were going to revisit. The café itself is superb with a light and airy interior, nice furnishings and superb decor but it was the outside terrace that drew our attention as it was a roasting... More

Hotel Café Dvořák is an excellent café and restaurant in an excellent hotel located by Charles Bridge (Karlův Most) in the area of Prague called Malá Strana (Little Quarter). With an amazing outside seating area that is the best area to stay when visiting here especially on a warm day.We went here on our penultimate day in Prague and it... More

We stayed at this cafe/hotel a few years ago and decided to go back for a drink to see what had changed. Well, it must beinder new ownership as the man who runs the place is both rude and obnoxious. Such a pity as it was a nice place previously. High prices combined with a bad attitude. Avoid at all... More

We had been to a couple of restaurant's in the area so decided to sit outside of here and have s pleasant beer. We ordered our beer's which... More

We stopped at this cafe for a chilled glass of wine for each as we had walked a fair distance that sunny afternoon. Looked in the menu but didnt find any drinks, so decided prices shouldnt hurt. Well, it hurt, big time!!! just 2 classes of wine! when we challenged the waiter, he readily brought the menu (not the one... More

We stayed in this hotel some years back, for mostly sentimental reasons, since I grew up in this area-very near by. We had a suite on the highest floor then, lots of steps but a nice view. We enjoyed our stay. But this review is about our lunch on our last visit. We were not guests at the hotel this... More

Fabulous location within walking distance of everything in Prague. Very clean and large room we had our own sitting room. Delicious breakfast though it wasn't large. We loved this hotel and will definitely be back. Thanks

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
