We reserved five days holiday, without any experiences of Prague. This hotel is located at Mala Strana, not too far away of any tourist attractions. For example, you walk out from hotel, there´s only somewhat 100m walk to the Petrin Hill (250m high) park funicular, where you can find small Eiffel tower, from 1891, and nice park, not to mention... I stayed in this hotel from Sunday till Monday (20/09/16). Not sure how this hotel achieved 4 stars, but it is not worth 2*. The hotel room looks different from the picture, very cheap, outdated with funny red patchy paint, my shower leaked also. When I woke up on Monday morning there was no hot water at all plus wifi... We booked a doble room with two beds but the hotel finally are full and they give us a very small room with a double bed (1.35m). The room in the 5th floor didn't have elevator (the elevator only arrives to the 4th floor). Is a corner in the floor with a very small ceiling (look our beautiful pictures). The... More

The room was comfortable and spacious and the bathroom well equipped. We enjoyed being able to relax in the large and pleasant lobby. The breakfast which was part of the deal was very enjoyable. The hotel was in walking distance of lots of venues including excellent walking tours.

The Hotel Roma is on the left bank, the same side of the river as the Castle, and away from the Old City. Whilst this makes it more peaceful, it's close enough to the Charles and Legii Bridges to make access to Old Prague very easy. There are plenty of nice restaurants on teat side of the river, and Kampa... More

The hotel was clean and the bedroom we were given was spacious. It had everything we needed for a short stay and was not too far from the old town and Charles bridge .Most of the staff were friendly ,we only met one grumpy receptionist who came across as abrupt.Breakfast is included in the price of the stay and was sufficient... Very well situated with the Old Town within 20-25 minutes walk. Tram stop very close to the hotel. There are two main entrances to the hotel leading in to a large reception, bar, and seating area. There is a small patio off this area. The rooms are a reasonably size with King Size bed, bedside cupboards, luggage rack, flat screen... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
