The hotel is old and in a bad state. You can get a 100x better experience for less than half the price in Mala Strana for example, which is a much nicer area too.

Stayed in the Falkensteiner as it was near our arrival/departure point of the train station and within easy walking distance of most of the sights of Prague.
Reception was efficient and friendly, and we were quickly in our room on the 4th floor, which was...More
Over-used small bath towels.
No soap or shampoo, only shower gel.
Amenities in the room - some of the boxes were empty. No shower cap, for example.
I left two shirts in the cleaning bag together with the form filled and signed, just to find...More

We stayed there as part of a tour so I don't know what our stay cost. But the hotel room was good and the breakfast was the best on the entire tour. The shower was cramped but no more than most other European hotels. It...More

Welcome Home! Thank you so much for sharing your review with the TripAdvisor Community. I am delighted by reading that you had an enjoyable experience with us and that we will be welcoming you back very soon.
Nice hotel, spacious rooms. Clean, but towels were not always replenished when left out. Only complaint was the door to the bathroom often came off the runner and could be difficult to open as a result. Staff were friendly and courteous. Great location, within walking...More

Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town
or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.

No, the hotel does not offer an airport shuttle service. The cheapest way to get to the airport is to take the Airport Express Bus from the main train station, which is opposite the hotel. The Airport Express Bus costs CZK 60 per person (USD $3.00). Unfortunately, TripAdvisor does not allow me to give you the website for the Airport Express bus, you can Google it by typing in "Prague Airport Express Bus"
If you prefer to use a private taxi service, Prague Airport Transfers is a reliable provider of airport transfers and offers private transfers as well as shared transfers. It is very easy to make a reservation online for airport pick-up and return. The trip takes about 30 minutes. Prices are on a per vehicle basis and you can order a van for your group at a reasonable price. Again, TripAdvisor won't let me type in a website link, even though I want to link you to another page on TripAdvisor! So, in the TripAdvisor search box, type in "Prague Airport Transfers" and click on the first result for the provider with the business address of: Velvarska 1701/25. I have used this company for the past 6 years and never had a problem with them at all.

I don't know. I was only there 2 days at the beginning of my tour so didn't need a laundry at that stage. You could email them about it. I'm sure they would have, it was a sizeable place and well appointed.
