Wellness Hotel Step boasts comfortable rooms with appreciated amenities, though some guests have noted cleanliness and maintenance issues. While opinions on its location vary, with its proximity to the O2 Arena being a highlight for some, others find it less convenient for city exploration. The hotel's atmosphere, especially the serene sauna, earns praise for its cleanliness and modernity. Its wellness and sports facilities are popular, despite additional costs which have led to mixed views on the hotel's overall value. Service is commonly described as friendly and attentive, particularly within the wellness and breakfast offerings.

We decided to visit Prague for few days this holidays and we found this hotel with pool, spa and many other sport facilities.
It's a modern hotel of good standard with nice, professional staff. Our stay was very pleasant. They serve very good breakfast. The Bohemia restaurant is open until 1 a.m. serving very nice food and beer too.
Spa and pool time included in hotel price was bit too short (2 hrs), however I think you could extend that time paying bit extra. Spa facilities really nice and clean, with very nice Sauna Zone. The hotel is located about 6km from Prague Centre, but it costed only about 6 Euros to get there by Bolt taxi.

The hotel "Wellness Hotel Step" is located close to the O2-Arena in the Eastern part of Prague. For people who have to do their business in this area of the town, it's a great basis. The hotel's rooms are comfortable, especially the air conditioning in our room was very welcome due to the warm weather. The service is great, we always felt comfortable. The breakfast buffet is good, there are many kinds of food to choose from. Everything looks clean, I used the very professionally looking fitness room, several times for my extended workout. - As our stay there was now affected by the Corona crisis, this should also be a part of this review: The measures taken due to the Corona crisis also looked OK, from the point of view of Czech people. For people from Germany, it was strange to see that there was no use of masks, that there was a breakfast buffet (not possible in German hotels, at the moment) and that also some other things were handled differently from what is done in German hotels, right now. But in general, we didn't feel bad with this. Especially, we took ur breakfast quite early, in the morning, when not too many other people were in the large breakfast room. And as the hotel is also located sufficiently well in order to reach the city centre of Prague, this is also a further plus for a stay, here. And the price-performance ratio is really, really good!

Didn't use the wellness side due to it being a last minute booking for a day trip, so can't comment on this.
However hotel was clean, staff friendly and informative.
Room was comfortable and clean, however shower head attachment could of been higher, but we did choose a cheaper room due to same day booking so may have just been in this room type.
Breakfast was buffet style and had lots of choices both hot and cold.
About 15 minutes from the Old Town area but an easy Uber away (200czk), parking was in a small multi storey and relatively cheap (about 8 euro)

The receptionist was very kind and helpful, but the room equipment was average in comparison with the 4 stars hotel rating. The windows don't seal very well, so you can hear trains through them, in the bathroom there is not a bathtub (probably replaced by the wellness), the minibar fridge is turned off and empty. I praise just the refilling soap products and plenty of electrical sockets thanks to extension cords.

In the restaurant, we were waiting 10 minutes for the first service in almost empty restaurant - although a barman saw us coming to a table. Then they were serving standardly. The barman is pouring the beer into glasses with a puddle of water on the bottom (very unprofessional), but the meals are tasty. We had a tartare (very well served) and chicken wings (the wings were good, but the baguette was like a dried log).

Then we were heading to the wellness centre, in our room we found a bathrobe but not the slippers. We assumed, that it is probably close, so we don't need them, but the reality was different. You walk through the badminton vestibule, then through the bowling bar (!!!) and then you finally come to the wellness reception. There was friendly staff, then you walk through the cloakrooms (common with the badmintonists - they should have their own) and through the turnstiles. The "water world" is nice and clean, in the working days the occupancy is acceptable. The steam chamber is quite cold, but the sauna next to the swimming pool is perfect (nice view outside and calm music playing). Just a pitty, there are no sunbeds, but you can lie on a towel laid on a brick bench.

When we returned to the room, WiFi was running smoothly, so it was possible to watch a movie on-line. The only disturbing element were the trains from the outside and some other guests, who were chatting behind our door for almost an hour.. But it was possible to fall asleep ;)

The breakfasts are very rich and tasty, service is attentive and kind.

We planned to stay in the hotel for 5 nights but at the end decided to extend our stay for 2 more nights. Nice personnel, clean rooms, delicious breakfast and incredible sport and sauna facilities made our stay unforgettable. I would advise , while booking the hotel, to get at once the entrance to the Water and Sauna world. It’s incredible! In addition, the restaurant offers a range of tasty traditional dishes and the prices are really good. The hotel is not located in the centre but using the stairs you can reach tram/ bus stops in max. 10 min. We were with the kids of 10 and 11 years old and enjoyed a lot both staying in the hotel and going to the city centre. We will definitely go back again.

I was not able to reach Prague due to a last minute airline strike. Despite me getting in touch promptly with the hotel, they decided to retain the whole amount I had paid in advance for 3 nights, despite Expedia repeatedly contacting them on my behalf to find a more amicable solution. It does not matter at all that they were (absurdly) entitled to do so. Morally and commercially, it was a shameful decision.
They were most likely able to sell again the room that I had fully paid for so made a nice double profit. I had the misfortune of talking to their customer service (Marek) and they were rude and dismissive. I had proposed that they keep the amount of the first night, but they had none of it. Imagine if I had booked for a week or more...
Don't book here unless you're prepared to be on your own if anything should prevent you from traveling or you have a very comprehensive travel insurance.

We had the most wonderful time here. There breakfast was top notch with a wide verity of breakfast foods to choose from. The family room we stayed in had a king bed and two twin beds and plenty of room to move around. The bathroom was spacious with a large tub perfect for little kids and tall enough for my husband who is 2m could stand comfortably. The hotel pool was 6.50€ per person and we received two hour passes instead of one hour. And we were only a ten minute including finding parking drive from Old Town Square.

Big hotel, nice, clean room, staff was average, not extraordinarily friendly, no problem with English. We really enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna, nice, clean amenities. Breakfast was awesome, comparable to breakfasts served in resorts in Egypt. Hotel is about 15 mins from the metro, we parked in the parking garage right across from the hotel for a charge of CZK290/night.

Was my third time in Prague. I really love Prague. Maybe my favorite European city!!

I went with my family (wife and two teenagers).
I was a bit concern with the place where the hotel was before I arrived. It's a suburban area but I never see or felted any problem in the area. And honestly with the Uber service that exist in Prague area the longest time that I had to wait for a Uber driver wasn't more than 6min. But prepare for 15-20 minutes to arrive to the old Prague area.
The room was ok for the four of us, clean and ok for our needs. One curious thing was on the empty fridge: no water bottle but instead two wine bottles on a family room. That I didn't understood.

Breakfasts were crowded but with plenty of places to sit. Amazing breakfast, I don't believe that could be any guest not happy with it. We just loved, didn't miss nothing, really nothing!!

The Bohemia restaurant at the Hotel was nice, with good food and friendly staff.

The several sports that were near the hotel we just use swimming-pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam bath. Those facilities were not just for the hotel clients. That was a public swimming-pool. It's a bit crowded but we enjoy a lot. All the staff and the pool users were friendly, respectfully and the facilities were unbelievably clean even at 10pm!!

Bottom of line:
If you go to Prague and want to do some sports or use the wellness services go for it. You have a lot of sports that you can enjoy,

But If return to Prague maybe I choose another hotel. Nothing to do with the staff, nothing to do with the hotel facilities, location was the key for me..

The hotel is very big and located on the outskirts of central Prague which is easy to get to via a very efficient and easy to use public transport system. The trams are great. One ticket can be used for any form of transport for a set amount of time. Inexpensive too. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful covering both continental and cooked varieties. You could even squeeze your own oranges to make fresh orange juice. There were two dining areas for breakfast, we chose the smaller area as the large restaurant was pretty noisy, especially with lots of small children. Food was the same in both. The staff were friendly and very helpful especially initially when we asked about how to get to the public transport tram stop. To get to the main road you will need to walk down a steep metal staircase of about 70 steps. Great to help you maintain fitness, especially when climbing back up after a day out sightseeing! The hotel offers a spa which we used but to be honest, as it's also for public use too it's not as personal as I would have liked as it was very busy and although we could use our hotel room towels, we felt that a robe could have been included and extra towels too. Everything in the hotel was very clean. We were located on the 5th floor which was quiet.

We got public transport to it , cost about £1, don’t know what’s up with you all I thought it was fine. It’s a bit of a trek away but was fine for price around new year.
