Walking past (along Liliova) we noticed that half litres of lager were KR29 (about 79p - the cheapest we saw) so we went in to have a drink and see what food was available. My wife had chicken in mushrooms with grilled vegetables and I had breaded pork with chips. The portions were large and freshly cooked. The food, together... More

This place was booked for us (it was a business trip) as being a three star hotel - which it isn't. The first sign that something was wrong was that there is no reception and the only person we could talk to upon arrival was a young restaurant waiter. When we presented our vouchers, she told us that there were... More

We found this bar by chance as we were on our way to O'CHE'S BAR and what a nice lively bar that we chanced on. We walked in and the bar was bouncing,a very lively atmosphere. The staff were run off their feet and we waited for about 10 minute's for our Pilsner Urquell beer ,when the beer's arrived the... More

There is only one reason why stay in this hotel - position. Really strategic position if you want to discover beauty of Prague old town. Otherwise there is terrible breakfast, old equipment, no reception and really noisy but not the noise from the street as you would expect but the noise from the inside of the hotel. For me there... Very clean, big, comfortable and close to every where you want to go to specially on Prague 1. Breakfast was ok, clean towels and bed sheets. No smells. Small fridge. Rooms can be very hot in summer time, keep in mind there is not air conditioned or a fan. There is a very loud bar downstaris so this is not... More

No shower, a tub and shower nozzle that isn't attached so you cannot take a shower. No heater or A/C the tv was a 8 inch old computer screen not in the bedroom but a alcove in the room. We checked out right away but were already charged it was a good location but might as well been camping.

Initially when we went to the hotel they said they couldnt find our booking, but after prompt assistance from their staff, they managed to assign us a room (Lucky for us). Other than this minor hiccup, the hotel was excellent! Most importantly the hotel is situated at a very good location with many amenities around, and most attractions within walking... More

The best thing about this hotel is the position in relation to Charles Bridge, town square which means it is easy to get around on foot, no guided tours for us. However the hotel is dark & dingy, the room though average size was very basic. The bed ( 2 singles pushed together) was uncomfottable for my husband, the bottom... More

This hotel is right near Charles Bridge and Karlova, but is not crawling with tourists. Comfortable, clean and spacious room, and the heated towel rack was a nice touch. Breakfast was good with coffe and tea and an array of cereal, toast, jam, cold cuts, cheese and boiled eggs. We also ate at the restaurant for dinner which was nice.... More

We stayed here for three nights in March and would stay there again! It's not the best hotel I've ever stayed in; but it was clean & tidy, staff were very friendly, although they spoke very little English it wasn't an issue. The hotel is just a few streets away from the Old Town Square and a short walk to... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
