Detailed Reviews
We arrived 4.5 hours before checkin time and the staff not only allowed us early checkin at no charge, but were so kind in upgrading us to a better room due to all the Corona cancellations. Every staff member we interacted with was professional and nice. The hotel is boutique and quaint, centrally located, and the food fantastic. The shul is as beautiful as any shul. It's a proper shul, not just a converted room. The spa is amazing, too! They thought of everything for shabbat...2 shabbat lamps, not just one...a shabbat kettle, a washing cup basin in the room. Would have given 6 stars if 5 were not the max!

My husband and I had already visited Prague four times, including for Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) and Passover, each time staying at the King David. Now that all the COVID travel restrictions have been lifted, we decided to celebrate Rosh Hashanah in Prague this year once again, having heard that the hotel was up and running after two disastrous years. We were pleased to discover that the hotel is indeed back in full swing and is as warm, welcoming, comfortable, and efficient as ever. And as delicious! Much of the staff is even the same, including, as we found to our delight, Rashid, their superb Moroccan chef, with his creative blend of traditional eastern and western kosher cuisine. Even guests who don't keep kosher would hardly notice anything lacking, what with all the amazing food choices at every meal.
In addition, the holiday atmosphere permeated the hotel, which, combined with the modest size of the place, provided an old-fashioned "hemishe" feel that can be hard to find in many of today's large hotels that offer Jewish holiday programs.
One suggestion for visitors who are not from large cities: you might want to request a room which does not face the main street, Hybernska. The street noise might be a little hard to take for people who are not used to general city hubbub. But I'm sure that the rooms on the other side of the building have a calmer atmosphere, as they face a quieter street which is adjacent to a park.
In general, we highly recommend the King David, particularly for visitors who are interested in experiencing the best that European Jewish culture and hospitality have to offer.

Never had much of a good experience with kosher hotels in Europe - but read the reviews on Booking and checked in for 3 nights with another couple. Decor a bit moody but the welcome was very warm. Everyone from concierge to reception staff was helpful, cheery and willing to chat and advise. Room was very comfortable with easily controllable air con and special request of single quilts on double bed was there waiting for us. Breakfast was excellent though the toaster went on a go slow. Even when the dining room got a bit hectic at around 9 am staff were remarkably cool and helpful and found us a table for 4 instantly. We used the evening buffet two nights and celebrated a friends 70th with cocktails which came quickly from the bar upstairs and were well prepared. The food was good and plentiful. Checkout is surprisingly generous at 12 midday and very welcome when you have a late flight home as we did. We got caught in a thunderstorm on the last day and the staff helped us gain access to our stored luggage and showed us where we could change. I understand that some of their clients are not Jewish and I can see why they would choose to stay here. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in - wife had zero complaints - never happened before.

This hotel never disappoints. We stayed for a week, with half-board. For the price, we got great value! The food was varied, plentiful, fresh, and tasty. We felt very welcomed when we received a personal cake to our room for the occasion of our anniversary with a beautiful card from the hotel management.
The staff was very helpful, especially when we had a medical emergency to deal with. The room and the amenities were delightful. Were stayed in the Deluxe room. It was nice and new, spacious and pleasant. Everything we needed was provided promptly. The location was comfortable - a short walk from the old city square and the Palladium shopping center as well as other attractions. It was a perfect Prague experience!

We had the most wonderful experience being here for the weekend. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed from taking our luggage in and up to the room, full room service to ordering taxis when needed. Food was plentiful and delicious, bedrooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. Special thanks to binyomin (mashgiach) for being on top of everything and ensuring the hotel runs smoothly.

We chose a hotel, among other things because it was the only one with more than 3 stars with half board, which gave us some security traveling with two babies (3 and 1 year old). Knowing that it was kosher and that they only spoke in Hebrew and English. There were no problems with it (in general) thanks to Google translator.
But there are things that we could consider slight failures, such as the case that where they ensure a King size bed, they are two beds together and with separate duvets (kosher things), but it would not hurt if they indicated it in the description
and Things that are serious like arriving for dinner at 8:40 p.m. (it's true that they closed at 9:00 p.m.), having to wait almost ten minutes for the only person who runs the lobby bar (which is where they have dinner) to appear and who has to go up and down 2 floors to bring full and empty dishes (to the kitchen that is two floors below, next to the restaurant (only open for breakfast)) and when you arrive you still have to prepare a table for you and then they serve you all the dishes together because they close the kitchen and therefore try to get you to eat cold grilled chicken or reheated in the microwave. Besides, for complaining about her the waitress gave us a bad look and didn't even say hello.
The breakfast, in addition to being inappropriate for a hotel of that category (nothing to do with the level of the desserts at dinner), with little variety (I suppose it is also an excuse for kosher, but there are turkey or chicken sausages, for example). But we also found that two of the 4 days we were there there was no orange juice because "the oranges have run out."

We visited Prague for a few days and had a wonderful time.
The hotel was clean and comfortable Accommodating us in quite a luxurious room and you refurbish bathroom. Breakfast was served with a Generous selection of food and drink.
Great localisation. Several tourist attractions within the area and walking distance. The Hotel conveniently helped us with our itinerary and had vouchers to offer us for some trips.
The milky restaurant within the hotel was convenient to. However, there was only one person serving Several people and it took the time to get the food. The menu could also do with some expanding.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the King David hotel for a warm and kosher experience. We look forward to returning. Thank you!

The room we had was very nice and well appointed. However, the bath/shower was difficult to get into, and there were no grab bars at all.
Our main reason for staying was we keep kosher. The food was not good. We would have been better off staying elsewhere and getting our food from one of several kosher restaurants . The food on Shabbat was especially bad. The roast beef bordered on inedible, and we in fact had only one bite.
A second complaint was pricing. While the prices for rooms dropped dramatically prior to our check in, the price we paid did not. On the other hand, the price of meals rose after our booking, and the charge we paid did go up.. Further, an advertised free shuttle to the airport disappeared during our stay.

My wife, 2-year old daughter, and myself, stayed at this hotel from Wednesday to Sunday. First of all, the hotel is in a great location and close to the various tourist sites. the entrance to the hotel is spectacular and very inviting. At the reception a professional staff greeted us in a courteous manner. The room was beautiful, clean and wonderfully tidy. A tray of fruit, cake and bottles of water were waiting for us. The room was equipped in all respects. In general, the entire hotel staff was courteous and welcoming. The food is of a very high standard. We did not take advantage of the spa services, but from talking to other guests the value from the spa is worth every shekel. If you are looking for a kosher hotel and a Jewish atmosphere, this is the place to go!

Absolutely outstanding! It’s not usual forms to trust the pictures submitted from management as I know they are done by processional photographers when the hotel first is built and only the best rooms are shown and the food is all put out _ so basically not what they typical guest gets! However the pics for this hotel are really true of what you can expect.
The food was outstanding in the sukka and in the restaurant for every meal.
The rooms were almost newly refurbished with very large showers/ bathrooms with l’occitane products.
The swimming pool and spa whilst not big were ample and clean and well maintained.
The synagogue was well stocked and beautifully decorated and a good size.
The kosher milky restaurant was as good as any non kosher one and was open all times till late at night even sat night.
The hotel staff knew about religious Jews needs and couldn’t do enough to help us.
Shabbat lamps and Shabbos keys for every room. A shabbas elevator also.
Thank you to the staff and also the mashgiach Benny for an amazing sukkos.
If I want to look for something to fault, like most reviewers do then it’s the WiFi which had it moments! However everything else including location were amazing.

Do the staff, particularly the front desk, restaurant, and concierge, speak English?
About twenty minutes on foot and ten minutes by car
Hi,
There is one lift which goes all the way down to basement level, I am not sure if it goes all the way to the top (I guess it does?) - it definitely went to the first floor where I was staying...
I don't know what you would require to use the scooter, but I can tell you that the front entrance is via a steep (internal) flight of stairs. It is possible that they have another entrance. It is worth asking the hotel this question.
I would think that the room that I stayed at was big enough for a scooter to maneuver in.
Hope this helps, good luck!
Sorry, I don't know prices, try Expedia, Trivago etc! Good luck!!
Dear Drami,
All services we provide are Kosher; hotel is fully equipped for Orthodox guests. The pool should be open in April.
We look forward to your visit.
Regards,
Katarina
