The Questenberk is an excellent historical boutique hotel. It's not comparable to larger hotel chains hotels or to luxury hotels. But if you are looking for a hotel with an excellent service, historical location, historical rooms, excellent view and reasonable priced then this is your hotel. The hotel has the basic amenities that are needed (safes in the rooms, restaurant,... More

We stayed at the Questenberk for five nights, and the entire experience was superb. Our room was meticulously clean, the staff extremely friendly without exception, and even in the heat of summer the place was wonderfully cool. The restaurant is a gem, and the views from it are breathtaking.

My husband and I recently stayed three nights at the Questenberk. It's a 1620s church and UNESCO-listed building that's had its interior renovated to make a boutique hotel. This must be a recent renovation -- our room felt so fresh and clean and airy. There were high ceilings, nice linens, a large bathroom, and an English-language HBO channel (which even... More

There is no doubt in my mind that this hotel has, by far, the most excellent service of any hotel I have ever stayed in. From making the initial reservation to the follow up communications after our stay, the staff of Questenberk excelled in providing an extraordinary experience. At check in, both Nikol and Cristina made us feel extremely welcome.... More

located above the prague castle in a converted monastry. Quite an old building with modern amenities. Check in was an elaborate affair with a beer un the outside restaurant when Josep told us aboutbthe history and brief surroundings of the area. Sluggt embarrasement because I was staying alone but a friend had picked me up from airport. So initially Josef... More

Unique welcome where we were personally taken round the Heritage Hotel and shown the balcony overlooking the town below where we werew served welcome drinks and snacks. The Heritage property sits at a height near the Castle and Monastry and is in a quiet area of the town. People in the Hotel are extremely friendly and ever-ready to help. They... More

Having arrived in the beautiful city of Prague, it was a huge added bonus to have stayed in this gem of a hotel. The hotel use the words "a hotel that is more than a hotel" and it completely lived up to these words and more! The check in process felt more like a welcome from friends, a welcome drink... More

The hotel is located in a quiet area of the City close to both the Castle and Monastery (pictured above) and ideal for anyone who wants to escape the tourist throng. The hotel is part of the original monastery dating back to the 12th Century and retains many of its original features. We were overwhelmed by our welcome, which included... More

I booked this hotel based on the great reviews and I'm glad I did. The customer service really sets Questenberk apart. When we arrived (I went with two other friends), we were immediately given a welcome drink and the woman at reception took us through a map of the city, pointing out her favorite sites. We also were given wine... More

This was a wonderful monestary converted into a hotel in a great quiet location in walking distance to Prague Castle, Petrin Tower and streetcar/bus into Old Town. Jaroslav was extremely helpful (as were other members of the staff) in providing recommendations for dinner and excursions not to miss. He was polite and and answered all our questions with a smile!... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Location of Questenberk hotel is special for its breathtaking view on the entire city of Prague. Within moments you are able to reach Prague Castle (approximately 5 minutes) and other most visited Prague's sites such as Charles Bridge, Lesser Town and Old Town square. Its unique placement gives you infinite options how to plan your journey in Prague. Only steps from our hotel you can enjoy the calm of Petrin park which is the biggest park in Prague and it is a pleasant place where to spend end of your day with an evening walk from the town. The building was built in 17th century and it served as a formal private palace to Sir Caspar Von Questenberg who was a German priest, Abbot of Strahov Premonstratensian Monastery. Sometimes the building is misinterpreted as a church, because the architecture is very similar to the one found in Strahov Monastery which is located only 2 minutes of walking through our terrace restaurant. Our hotel is suitable for clients of all ages, families with children, couples, wedding occassions or business trips. Staying in hotel Questenberk will give you unforgetable memories and will definitely make your stay in Prague even more enjoyable. ... more   less
