We traveled to Budapest, Vienna and Prague, each for a week and this was the best hotel for the money. The staff is wonderful, the location is great, breakfast is included and is delicious. Stay at this hotel you will love it. Tip: it's right next to the Charles bridge so get up early and get some good pictures of... More

We stayed at this hotel recently. I booked a double room knowing that my 2 small kids would have to go on the floor with the bedding we had brought. The receptionist was a bit concerned about how we were all going to be able to fit in, but I said we'd manage. We got room No.2, which was on... More

The Certovka hotel is located just across the Charles Bridge in Prague, on the quiet side nearest the Castle. A short walk across the Charles Bridge, you will find yourself right in the centre of Prague, with restaurants, culture, and shopping. The hotel was really great, and the hotel staff were really obliging. We arrived on an early flight getting... More

The hotel is located just across the Charles Bridge in Prague, on the quiet side. In just a few minutes walk, you will find yourself right in the centre of Prague, with restaurants, culture, clubs and shopping. The hotel was really cute, and the hotelstaff was really helpful with everything. They also have their own driving service to the airpoty,... More

Next to the Charles bridge. Very clean, very good service and good hot breakfasts on offer. Rooms good size, some bigger than others. Looks like hotel has recently been fully redecorated. Daily maid service. Would highly recommend. Close to lots of bars and restaurants but location quiet at night.

This hotel is in a fabulous location looking on to the Charles Bridge. The staff were very helpful and we had a lovely room number 5 with double aspect views. It also had a brand new bathroom and the rooms were cleaned while we were down at breakfast. I spent a lot of time gazing out at the bridge as... More

We've just returned from Prague and were amazed at how perfectly located the Certovka was. It's at the 'quiet' end of Charles Bridge in the Lesser Quarter. We didn't have any problems with noise at all, had a room that looked directly onto Charles Bridge and Kampa Island from the second floor at the front of the hotel. We were... More

I highly recommend this hotel. It was my 3rd time staying there and I just can't say enough about this gem of a hotel. You either get a view of the magnificent castle or the view of the oustanding Saint Charles bridge. Rooms are verey spacious and a very good breakfast buffet is served.

Stayed here for 4 days and wanted to leave before the first was over....hotel forgot to have the taxi pick us up at the airport...after getting picked up after an hour of waiting, we get to the hotel. Asked for a room with view of the Charles Bridge, got one facing a building on the busy part of the street.... More

Location was great. A room facing the back is better than the front. The castle is lighted at night from the back. The front is the bridge which you can see all the time. Besides, it is more fun to be on the bridge, with lots of activities, jewelery, paintings (not junky stuff, and not expensive). The rooms are spotless.... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
