This hotel was more than I expected. We had a real cute room with view over the Certovka river. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is superb !!! I advice this hotel to everyone. It is right at the Karls bridge. The location is perfect !

The hotel is clean and tidy, with helpful staff. We got lots of information about transport and restaurants from the reception. It's smack bang next to Charles Bridge with a small river (Certovka) running right next to it. A beautiful location. Bear in mind it is a tourist hot spot, so can be quite busy and loud in the day.... More

I have stayed at this hotel 2 times. Once December 2006 and once October 2015. Both times were great. The hotel is very clean and you could not ask for a better location. Staff is friendly and helpful. I plan to visit again in 2017 and absolutely plan to stay here once again.

If you want to live in a fairy tale - that's the place to choose. Absolutely stunning. Both the exterior and the interior. Amazing tooms, an absolutely breathtaking view, a tasty breakfast - everything is so good and of a high quality so you have to be a complete whiner if you can find something you don't like here. Small Prague hotel in the Mala Strana district of Prague. Located right off the Charles Bridge, the location couldn't be better. Contrary to what I've read on other reviews here, there is NO street noise. The windows seal off the street noise completely, and with the AC you are comfortable. Besides, the Mala Strana is on the "quieter" side of... More

The hotel staff was helpful and attentive. We had room 1 which was basically in the basement next to the canal. Lots of spiders outside the barred windows, and they came in anytime we tried to open the windows for fresh air. It would be impossible to keep up with all the spider webs on the bars. The breakfast included... More

Hotel is very central. Right beside Charles bridge and my room had views of Prague castle. Staff very helpful with directions and printing boarding passes. Only downside was lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room and intermittent WiFi that we experienced during our 3 night stay. I would recommend this hotel however. Conal

This hotel has great location! Few steps to everything such as Charles Bridge, Kaftka Museum , quaint restaurants , parks , metro . You will never go wrong with the location. Choose a room with the view of the river. The staff are friendly especially the woman behind the breakfast room. The breakfast spread is adequate enough but full of... More

I would highly recommend this hotel. It is right next to the Charles Bridge and Lennon wall. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was large and very clean with a safe, tv, and mini fridge. If I came back to Prague, I would choose this hotel again.

This was my second visit to Prague and I chose to stay again at the Hotel Certovka and I was not disappointed. I think it is an excellent value. Great location by the Charles Bridge but on the Lesser side so not as crowded but still just a short walk across the bridge to popular tourist attractions. Wonderful breakfast ..... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
