Hotel is very central. Right beside Charles bridge and my room had views of Prague castle. Staff very helpful with directions and printing boarding passes. Only downside was lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room and intermittent WiFi that we experienced during our 3 night stay. I would recommend this hotel however. Conal

This hotel has great location! Few steps to everything such as Charles Bridge, Kaftka Museum , quaint restaurants , parks , metro . You will never go wrong with the location. Choose a room with the view of the river. The staff are friendly especially the woman behind the breakfast room. The breakfast spread is adequate enough but full of... More

I would highly recommend this hotel. It is right next to the Charles Bridge and Lennon wall. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was large and very clean with a safe, tv, and mini fridge. If I came back to Prague, I would choose this hotel again.

This was my second visit to Prague and I chose to stay again at the Hotel Certovka and I was not disappointed. I think it is an excellent value. Great location by the Charles Bridge but on the Lesser side so not as crowded but still just a short walk across the bridge to popular tourist attractions. Wonderful breakfast ..... More

We travelled to Prague in May and stayed here. The hotel is literally below the Charles Gate Bridge and a 10 minute walk across the historic bridge to old town. Fantastic location. The rooms were very clean but quite small. The service was great as we had a hot breakfast made for us each morning; included in the price.

Loved this hotel! In a great spot next to Charles Bridge on the Lesser Town side which I think is much better because the old town was very busy and touristy. Only had to walk across the Bridge to Old Town. Helpful, friendly staff, good breakfasts and a lift which was helpful with luggage. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby.... More

The Hotel is in a very good central location, a short walk from Malostranska metro station on the green line A. It is a small friendly hotel with around 20 rooms on a few floors. We had room 10 on the second floor which is a corner room looking out onto the Charles Bridge and water. The hotel has a... More

The Hotel is situated near Charles Bridge. Central to visit all places of interest. The only disappointment I had was we were given room 2 on the ground floor which had decorative bars at every window which made you feel you were in a prison, even though I did email and request a high floor with good view as I... I had an attic room that faced the Charles Bridge. This was such fun to actually feel like I was having a true Czech experience. The room was spacious, plenty of hot water in good size bathroom, breakfast was great..choice of a hot breakfast plus the croissants, breads, yogurts, cheeses, sausages, fruit you could want. Great location, quiet and yet... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
