Marlina Bovanova at the front desk assisted me by assigning an upgraded room for people with mobility problems. The room was randomly assigned to another guest from our travel group, but she noticed my difficulty with mobility and reassigned the room to me. While I always travel with a rolling walker, and the special room would normally not be necessary,... More

We visited Hotel president in date from 17.8 to 19.8.2016 and we were very satisfied with our staying. Staff was very nice and professional especially receptionists martina and kamil. All of our requests were completed as soon as we asked and with smile. Hotel is situated in centre of the town and also beautiful view on river vltava. Hotel itself... More

Online pictures look good but don't let that fool you. Facilities are non existent. Service is average, they are doing renovations and a few of the rooms smell funny (new carpet and paint) Can't open the windows because bugs will get in and renovation noise is constant Biggest complaint is that it's self rated 5 stars when it's at best... Did not feel like 5 star hotel, the breakfast was good, but that was the main pro. Our friends lost power during the day, there were also giant midge flies in our the room. Every morning we would wake up to construction noise at 7am. The showers also were a bit cold and would overflow. Decor seems a bit outdated,... More

We spent 4 days here and were very pleased with the room (which was a free upgrade to one of the newly refurbished rooms), the service, and even the Vltava restaurant (decent prices, great service). A/C was perfect. Apparently the hotel is currently being renovated but this didn't affect us in the slightest. The location is excellent, we used the... More

We stayed here at the beginning of August, 2 couples, 2 rooms...location from the airport is good, about a 15/20 min transfer. Arrived to be greeted by friendly staff and a helpful porter. Went to our rooms...very spacious and very clean, room service is daily and all 'shampoos and lotions' are restocked. Wonderful barstaff in the hotel bar, Katarina in... More

Spacious clean room, with large comfy bed. Décor a bit tired & old TV but the hotel is undergoing a complete refurb at the minute. Air conditioning was spot-on. We had some red hot days & some pretty cool days but the room always felt just right. No tea & coffee making facility in room but room service available. Free... More

Great location, only 5 minutes walk from the old town square. We had a room overlooking the river which was lovely. Very clean, bright modern hotel. Breakfast was good, mixture of everything so everyone seemed to be catered for. Can't really fault the place. Would definitely stay here again.

First of all: you need healthy legs and good shoes in the city. This hotel has good location next to Vltava river and away from the most hectic old town square. Friendly staff and good service. I would recommend this hotel if you get a deal <100€/night. I would rate this 4/5 stars. Sauna is rather good and Tawan massage... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
