Detailed Reviews
Pretty Hotel Diana, just about $80 - now here comes the important part, so pay attention: truly splendid, world-class dining, and in a cozy ,lovely family run-hotel. Its in a family area so you sleep like a baby in your unexpectedly large, clean room. The train station is minutes from the door, and you are about 15 minutes from the city center. This was the best of both worlds, really, because of the aforementioned sleeping like a baby, after eating like a king. There are more expensive hotels in Prague, but they won't make you any happier than this delightful place. Because I was a complete novice to Prague, I asked a nice man on the staff at my hotel and parking package provider, stay123, if he had any idea where I would begin to look for a nice hotel there. Do you know, he actually called his brother to ask him for "the name of that place he loves so much in Prague" for me? Then he called me back. I love that kind of thing, that friendly touch, you know?
Anyway, he did me a terrific favor, because this hotel pretty much defined my wonderful stay in Prague, a city I found and full of unexpected charms.
Over the past decade or two, Prague has transitioned from a backpacker secret to the unquestioned tourist capital of Eastern Europe. With well-preserved sites, such as the Charles Bridge and St. Vitus Cathedral, Prague retains its regal and gothic mystique. You can spend the days taking in the architecture and the evenings enjoying local pilsners on a never-ending bar crawl. Prague has some of the most picturesque architectural landmarks in Europe. Here you'll find the sprawling Prague Castle, and the bustling Charles Bridge. Prague is also famous for its abundance of great beers and many pubs and beer halls. And make time for cultural events; operas and symphonies attract large crowds and can be very affordable, and if you're an opera crybaby like me, bring your tissues - the opera is sublime.
I loved the Astronomical Clock: the oldest one in the world; but get there early to avoid the absolute mob scene. Prague's attractions are also well known for pickpockets, but so what? You've been to Italy, right? Just be alert, and hold onto your handbag like you're a New Yorker, and enjoy yourself.
The Kgb museum is actually a room with one man's stash of Kgb memorabilia, but he's very enthusiastic and knowledgeable so its fun anyway; but maybe not quite worth $15, unless that's your absolute thing. Bohemian baroque Prague Castle gives the complete fairytale castle experience, with a wonderful view of the city - you'll need to set aside a couple of hours for it. Frank Gehry's dancing house is impossible to describe, as if it came out of a Tim Burton film.. Oh, and monasteries, convents, castles, churches and synagogues galore, literally. Prague is unique, and the Hotel Diana made it memorable for me.

We stayed at this hotel over the summer and loved it! Hotel Diana's decor is beautifully done in traditional Czech style. The hotel's ambience welcomes it's guest with elegance, warmth and a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and a large size for European hotel rooms. The room decor makes guests feel as if they were at home. The food is absolutely delicious! Miroslav Kuchar is the owner and chef ( by the way Kuchar means chef in Czech) and he really lives up to his name Kuchar! The vast wine and beer selection pears very well with the outstanding menu choices. The breakfast is superb which consists of an excellent variety e.g. muesli, imported cheeses, sausages and homemade rolls! The Kuchar's are awesome bakers making delectable Czech pasteries that are served as part of the breakfast as well. There are two train stations which are both a 3-5 minute walking distance. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the city center. There is free parking on the premises and the hotel locks it's gate at night. The prices are very reasonable for this quiet suburban hotel. We are really looking forward to coming to this wonderful hotel again this summer 2013!

The hotel is located in a residential area which makes is very quiet and provide a good nights rest. The rooms are very pleasant and rustic. The place is more in line with a bed and breakfast.
The food is outstanding and the service is excellent. The prices are very reasonable compared to city center Prague if your unsure on what to order, take the wait staffs recommendations. You will not be disappointed. Breakfast was the same. My coffee came with steamed milk, need I say more.
The location is only a 20 min train ride to the city center. The station conveniently located (approx 300m) from the hotel. The staff was so helpful the gave me train fare since I didn't have any local currency. Nice touch!
I will definetly return.

We had a reservation for a breakfast meeting at 10. We came and the owner told us they were closing for cleaning and kicked us out. The fact we had a reservation did not make any difference to him. He was not interested in finding any solution.
I will not go there any more.

Response from P K, Owner at Hotel Diana
Responded Mar 14, 2014
I am very sorry to receive yet another complaint for closing our restaurant outside our usual business hours. I am also sorry that I might look a bit arrogant while vacuuming the premises. Our opening hours are clearly stated both on the entrance door, on our website and also on Facebook page: The restaurant is open: on weekdays breakfast 7 - 9am lunch 12 - 3pm dinner 6 - 10pm on weekends and holidays breakfast 8 - 10am

A bit outside the the heart of prague, but very close to the nice subway. Tasteful big breakfast and good service. The room was luxurious, and the rest of the house was cozy.
Outside there is a safe and private parking lot. And on the other side of the house there is a green garden.

This hotel owned by a nice family is located in suburbs of Prague. There is close metro to the centre. The rooms are top, but the best thing is the cuisine, which I rate to be the best in the Czech republic. It is worth only coming for dinner. But make a reservation!!!

Eating there is a key. The owner -
Miroslav is very entertaining, fluent in english, german and NORWEIGAN. ;) great selection of wines.

Not for you if you like fast food and factory hotels! This is small, family run, VERY comfortable with great style and ambience. I'ver been coming regularly on business for over 10 years and would go nowhere else. Food is out of this world - especially game and fish, and the wine superb. Prices well below those of Prgaue centrum. Location a little remote but very close to Metro so convenient.
