The staff of the hotel is extraordinarily friendly, and we had a very spatious and confortable room. Everything was perfectly clean and tidy. Fantastic location. Hearty breakfast. My favorite place in Prague.
Last year I stayed at the Art Deco Palace, this year I booked the same but as it was closed they upgraded us to the Art Deco Imperial. We found the hotel in a great location with an easy walk to the Old Town. Reception was excellent, friendly, efficient and welcoming. Everywhere was beautifully stylish, immaculately clean and comfortable. The room was lovely, one washroom and one cloakroom, large and elegant with great fittings. The restaurant was also friendly and welcoming, the food amazing and the venison the best I have eaten. All in all highly recommended, a delight.
Hotel is an icon and should be on heritage list. Lovely old world back in time hotel in great condition. Clean and healthy. I have no errors to comment, they have really excelled in management of the hotel in the conditions that COVID has set upon us.
I stayed here for three nights and four days in late October 2020, when the city was experiencing difficult times due to covid19. I found all members of staff friendly, both at reception and in the restaurant. Everyone spoke English fluently and were most accommodating. I had booked a standard room (or as they call them, ”deluxe”), which I found rather small for a five-star. Fortunately for me, after one night, I was moved to an executive room because of some work being done with the heating system in my previous room. The executive room was larger and filled five-star criteria nicely. Both rooms came with the same amenities, including a minibar, bathrobe & slippers, a safe, a coffee maker etc. There were, however, no free water bottles in the room, but instead a sign saying that tap water is safe to drink and that bottled water, placed on the desk, costs extra. Felt a bit cheap, to be honest. The desk was adequate and the bed very comfortable. The executive room even came with a small sofa and coffee table. In both rooms, the bathroom was identical. It wasn’t very large, but there was a wonderful, deep bathtub that came with a handheld shower. While the shower had good water pressure, the tub took ages to fill up. In the executive room, there was also a separate toilet. I had forgotten my toothpaste at home, and a dental kit was provided at reception. In the bathroom, only basic amenities are stocked. The rooms were clean and in good condition. The decor was classical but not too old-fashioned. The beautiful Café Imperial, the hotel restaurant, is famous in Prague. This time, all restaurants in the country were forced to close, but hotels were allowed to serve in-house guests, and it felt like a privilege to be able to dine at Café Imperial every night, without even making a reservation! The food was very tasty, the service was quick and the ambience wonderful. The only thing I could wish for would be a more extensive menu as the menu started feeling a bit repetitive on the fourth day. Breakfast was also served at Café Imperial. There was a small buffet with some breads, cold cuts, youghurt, fruit, etc, and in addition, you could order hot items from a menu. Eggs Benedict were well-made and delicious! It wasn’t the most extensive breakfast out there, but it was filling and the friendly staff made sure you didn’t leave hungry! On my day of departure, I had a late flight out, and asked to keep the room until 5 pm, against a payment, of course. But no payment was required, I was given my late checkout for free, with a smile. What five-star service! The hotel enjoys a central location, 2 minutes from a tram stop and metro station and within walking distance from the Old Town Square. There’s a Lidl right nextdoor for whatever snacks and drinks you may need. The hotel was offering an extremely good price in October 2020, less than 70 EUR a night, and was a definite bargain. With the service I got, I am sure to stay here next time, too, and will book an executive room to make sure the room is large and comfortable enough.…
Hotel is ready to take care of all of your needs and wishes. Ideal place in Pragues' city center to have a lovely family wedding. Wonderful service, restaurant and rooms of course. Perfect stay for all of the members of a family.
