My husband and I stayed at this hotel as part of a group prior to embarking on a Danube river cruise. The hotel has wonderful ambiance and charm and the rooms are spacious and very nicely appointed. Location is also very good - a short walk to Old Town and other sites in the beautiful city of Prague. Both the... More

The hotel is relatively near Old Town being just of Republic Square. it is a good choice for position to take in the many sights that Prague has to offer. Other than the hotel's restaurant itself, there are many restaurants around the hotel from which to chose. Our room was not particularly large but adequate for the 5 night stay.... More

We were able to upgrade room a suite. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We ended up changing rooms because the first room had a shower in the tub. The tub is VERY HIGH. getting out of it is quite difficult. So they moved us to a room with a walk-in shower. That was my only complaint about this... More

Prague is a beautiful city and as you step from the cobble stone streets into the foyer of this Art Deco Hotel its charm and elegance envelopes you. The rooms are spacious and want for nothing with the Art Deco theme carried through. Rooms come with free Wi Fi, Fridge , Safe and Tea and Coffee making facilities. Breakfast offers... More

Very nice hotel, with a lovely café/restaurant attached (looks exactly like how one would imagine an early 20th century Bohemian grand café). Apparently, it was frequented by Kafka, and whilst we were there, we certainly saw a lot of locals eat there (always a good sign, as we did wonder if, though it were popular in the 1920s [or whenever],... The location is very central to everything. We were offered to upgrade for a nominal charge and we got a bigger room and an extra toilet inside the room. The art deco style hotel was fully renovated and the attention to details is very well done. Must try the dinner at the hotel restaurant, food and service were excellent and... More

Prague is a city like no other in terms of beauty, culture and is a blend of the old and new.To enjoy this part of Eastern Europe one needs atleast 3-4 days in hand and the ideal location and this hotel has a great location. This is a wonderful relatively "small" hotel, beautifully decorated and presented, more Art Nouveau than Art Deco and is situated not too far from the Old Town. The tiled restaurant - Cafe Imperial - is visually fantastic and has a wonderful ambience.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
