This is such an amazing hotel. Both the receptionists were named Jans and they were so friendly and gave us such exceptional service. The rooms were huge, the bed was very comfortable and it had a skylight, huge windows and all the amenities you could ever want. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, so good. Hotel Schwaiger is one of the best hotels I have stayed in all our travels. Would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat and would have no hesitation in staying there again.
What an amazing stay we had in this hotel...guy in reception sorry cant remember his name but he was working over valentines weekend during the days,he was absolutely fabulous and so helpful. Every hotel needs someone like him . Rooms was nice and very clean with mini bar in it. Breakfast was 5 star...Had champagne breakfast every morning...Very quiet location about 5 min drive in taxi to old town. There is local bar across the street from hotel.we tried beer and local crisps up there and it was lovely and cheap like £1 for pint of beer.I would recommend downloading Bolt app for taxis really handy and much cheaper then getting taxi from the street . One way journey from hotel to old town cost around £3. And to airport would cost u £10. There is 1 thing I would change is TV chanels...1 night we decided to stay in and watch tv but there was no movie channels or show channels to watch...they do have I think 8 english channels but they all were News. I definitely will book with u again if I'm ever in Prague…
This hotel was recommended to us by a family posted to Prague for Business. They could not have recommended a nicer hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Wonderful Czech food in the restaurant. Although the hotel is located in the embassy district it is easy to get to the old city by public transportation, particularly with the staff’s guidance. Very clean, comfortable room, well cared for by the staff.
We stayed in this excellent boutique hotel for 5 nights having seen all great reviews on TA. Hotel Schwaiger deserves all these good reviews. It is in the Embassy district. It is pretty close to the center. You can walk to Hradčanská in 10-12 minutes, from where it is possible to take metro or tram to several different places. Metro takes 3 minutes and tram takes 6 minutes to the old town. If you do not want to walk to Hradčanská metro station, you can take the bus number 131 from the bus stop 3 minutes walk from the hotel (most probably some visitors do not know this option and finds it a little inconvenient to reach to metro station Hradčanská). Public transportation in Prague is excellent. The hotel is spotlessly clean, rooms are comfortable and large in European standards, beds are comfy. A very friendly and kind staff. When we first arrived in the hotel, Igor was on duty and he was very helpful; we really appreciated it. Breakfast is perfect. We had an excellent stay, and highly recommend it.…
We enjoyed our first two nights so much that we cancelled a past favorite to stay another 2 nights at the end of our stay. Excellent staff who went the extra mile to care for us. The best breakfast of any of our many European hotels. Quiet spacious rooms and comfortable beds.
This boutique hotel, recently remodeled, in the Embassy district, was great! My room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent; the hotel restaurant was also excellent. It is in a fairly quiet, upscale part of the city, near the embassies. It's about a 20-25 minute walk to the Lennon Wall. (Trust Google maps on this) Maybe a $4-5 USD Uber ride into the Stare Mesto. I highly recommend Hotel Schwaiger and would be delighted to stay there again.
We stayed here for 3 nights having seen all the good reviews. The hotel is out of the city but only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the subway and then just 2 stops to the city. Staff were very helpful and friendly, the hotel is very well decorated and the room we had was very spacious. The whole place is spotlessly clean and little touches such as chocolates on arrival and a little bottle of champagne left for us on the last night made it just that little bit more special. Breakfast had great choices and was good quality of everything. The only downside we had was the road noise. Although it is not on a major road, the noise of cars over the cobbles did become an issue for us. The hotel have put in extra glazing but after a while it did bother us. I don't think rooms at the other side would be so bad. Overall the hotel was lovely and we worked stay here again. …
We visited Prague for the first time in October and had very little idea what to expect. The Schwaiger is a small boutique hotel. We walked in the front door and were immediately greeted with a friendly smile and hello by the hotel clerk. We stayed five nights and all the clerks were friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are modern and very large. Bathroom was excellent. The breakfast was about what we expected, and tasted good. The price of the hotel was outstanding for the quality of the rooms. The only drawback - and it is very minor - is that the street out front is cobblestone, so it does make some noise in the morning when there are a lot of cars driving by. This didn’t detract in the least from our enjoyment. I would heartily recommend the Schwaiger to anyone.
It is very rare to stay in a hotel and fine no fault. The exception is Hotel Schwaiger. Located in a quiet area this small hotel was spotless, the rooms large and very well presented, staff very friendly and went out of their way to help out. The restaurant was also really nice and the food first class. You even get a 10% discount for eating in the hotel restaurant! Only downside is there is a cobbled road outside and the traffic is quite noisy if you have a window open. Chose this hotel because it was highly rated and it didn't disappoint. Nice guestures included bubbly in the room for my wife's birthday, chocolates in room on arrival, and some freshly cooked biscuits on another occasion.
This hotel is very pleasant with a helpful staff. The breakfast is basic but varied. The bed and bathroom in the room I stayed in were very good. The restaurant associated with the hotel (V Zahrade) serves good food, at a reasonable price (see my review of it). My only problem was with the location since public transport does not go too close to the hotel (that is why my overall score was 4 not 5) and since it is located on the east side of the Moldava if you want to get to the city center, it'll take a little longer. However, if you want to be in a quiet residential district where many of the embassies are located it's a good choice.
