Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.

This is the third time I’ve stayed at this hotel, with the last occasion being in 2012 when it was part of the Best Western chain. The hotel is still very good value for money with the room I was allocated being large and well furnished. That being said, there was no mini-fridge or tea and coffee making facilities however I didn’t miss those during the 3 nights of my stay. The breakfast buffet is also of a reasonable standard and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel location is also very good being fairly central (~5 min walk from Wenceslas Square), with the nearest metro stop being “Narodni Trida” on metro line B. If arriving by air, then take bus number 100 (the stop is at the front of the main terminal building) to metro station “Zilcin” (the first stop on metro line B) and then stay on line B until “Narodni Trida”. The hotel is 5-6 minutes on foot from this metro station. Note that it is cheaper to buy metro tickets in the airport (the information desk sells them) than purchasing on the bus, with the ticket being valid on both bus and metro.

The hotel was conveniently located around 10 minutes to Charles Bridge, close to the Vltava River and Dancing House which we visited a lot of times. We walked to all the main attractions and also in the north of Prague (business center). The breakfast was plentiful, very tasty for a 3 stars hotel. They charge you 50 euro in cash deposit but they return it at the day of leaving. No fridge, but a safe which we used. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is quite a basic hotel and a short walk to the train station. Missed having a window in our room. Breakfast was fine but regularly had to wait for an available table. Nothing much else to say really

Bad matrasses, everything in the room and bathroom broken. Bad breakfast. You come by car, you have a big problem. Ignore money chance reception and Change at atm around the Corner paging down to an amount of not more then 100 euro's. Park your car under the opera few streets away. Very hot, they given small ventilator maybe. Best bring your own cheapo before arriving. All Windows closures broken. The bar downstairs is acceptable. I suggest eating at restaurant Sjvek in same street or the pizzeria next to Mexican embassy 2 streets away. Finding this Hotel in town is extremely difficult and unloading , loading luggage as well. The place has some strategical Location at some endurance. Ladies at reception mostly very rude, not helpfull and Not Anke or willing to speak German , english or whatever.manager ist als Rude and ignorant. But if you must try it out yourselves. Most navigation will fail to direct you fast enough in prague. Sygic on mobile phone proved best option. Garmins het totally lost
