Just returned from a 3 night break at Hotel Pav. We couldn't fault the hotel one bit and had a fantastic stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our room was huge with lovely high ceilings and breakfast was good quality. It is a 10/15 min walk to the main squares but we enjoyed the walk each day. Would... More

I decided to stay at the Best Western Hotel Pav because of a combination of: a) Cheap price b) Good location near city centre c) Good reviews I am very glad that I did. First of all, tips for getting to and from the airport. I got the AE Airport Express bus from Prague Airport to the city centre. This... More

A 4 night break for less than £180 ..I wasn't sure what to expect but greatly surprised at the quality at this hotel. Gorgeous modern spacious room...amazingly comfy bed and a great breakfast, this with a central location makes this a great choice ...only slight criticism no coffee making facilities in the room ....

Centrally located. All the major touristy places within walking distance, discovered that the pub next to us, U Fleku was THE place for a drink. We booked a triple room. The room size was good and both the room and bathroom were clean. Housekeeping was good. 24 /7 staff at reception. This hotel takes no frills very seriously. The room... More

We had a lovely good sized room. Quiet for sleeping. The staff were efficient and courteous. Buffet breakfast good and always busy. Hotel near enough to walk to the center. Lots of cheap pubs and cafes beside us. Not far from large tesco store. We went to Svejk restaurant U karla on Friday night cabaret/beer hall. Really enjoyed the show.... More

My favourite hotel to stay in anywhere! Conveniently located in the heart of the city but just far enough away to make it nice and quiet on an evening! Excellent staff from the reception and bar staff, to the driver and maids! I always recommend the hotel to friends and they always thank me after their visit! If staying here,... More

Stayed here once before and it was so convenient I came back again! Rooms are simply decorated but fine, bathrooms are good with a strong shower, location was great - found it an easy walk to the centre of town, with lots of tram connections and the metro very nearby too. Plenty of restaurants and bars too, and a convenience... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
