Like Hermia in Midsummer Night's Dream, this is a little gem. Perfect for a 1-3 day stay in which you want to explore the city. I saw the hotel on a video about unique places in Prague. It has the narrowest street front of any hotel in the city, but it is quite convenient to Old Town and all the tourist spots, tucked away just off the path from The Charles Bridge to the Main Square, so ideal as a base for sight seeing. The rooms are small, although I got moved from a tiny one to a medium sized one once Romana saw how big I am (6'3" or 190 cm). The breakfast room had 6 tables for two, so I suppose if everyone ate at once it could get "crowded" but the compactly displayed selection was actually comparable to what I have seen at bigger hotels. The lift is small too (there's a theme here) but the key factor is that there IS a lift and you will need to climb 6 or 7 steps at the most - I recommend exploring the staircase once just for the experience. All the fixtures are quite modern, beds are comfortable, wifi worked fine, nice sized bathroom, mini fridge, reasonable prices on the stock in the fridge, TV, USB ports, quiet rooms. Recommended for location, service, and charming presentation.…
Hotel Clementin in the Old Town of Prague is a house with a very special charm, very good room facilities, courteous service and excellent location. Besides the fact that it is a historical building from 1380, it is also the narrowest surviving house from that time in Prague - at the widest point it measures just 3.28 meters. However, this circumstance should not hide the fact that the house offers fully and modernly equipped, very neat, clean and spacious rooms with separate bathroom and an elevator to reach them. But other details are also convincing here: The rather small breakfast room on the first floor belies the fact that there is room for an extensive and full breakfast buffet even in the smallest of spaces. Eggs, sausages, ham, jam and Nutella, cheese, muesli, vegetables, yogurt, tea, coffee, juices, baked goods - there is room for everything and it tastes simply excellent. The reception is not staffed 24 hours a day - but that doesn't matter, because on the one hand you get access with your chip card at any time and on the other hand you can always reach someone quickly in case of emergency. During the occupation time one may enjoy an exceptionally hospitable and obliging service, which leaves nothing to be desired. If you want to explore the city, this is an ideal starting point. The Charles Bridge is not much more than 300 meters away, the castle can be reached on foot in less than half an hour, the Clementinum with its baroque library and a magnificent observation tower is right on the doorstep and the large market square and the many stores and restaurants of the old town can be reached on foot in a few minutes - nevertheless, in the rooms you don't hear anything of the hustle and bustle of the tourist crowds and thus always have a haven of peace in a prime location. If you are good on foot, you don't need a cab or bus for the transfer from the train station to the hotel - the walk takes about 30 minutes and takes you past the Powder Tower, the Teyn Church, and the town hall clock and makes you want to see more. Those arriving at noon or in the early evening should definitely try the Lángos at the large square next to the town hall clock and/or the original Prague ham freshly prepared there. A delight! In summary, I can't help but give the Hotel Clementin the highest score - the overall package just fits perfectly. I have nothing to complain about and can recommend this hotel without hesitation and with pleasure.…
The hotel is very well situated in old town and only two minutes walk to Charles-bridge. We arranged transport from airport to hotel through the hotel that worked out very well. On arrival to hotel around 2200 the reception was closed and our driver opened the door and handed an envelope to us with our room key card to us. Our room was of the smaller type but more than enough and very clean. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful with selection of fruits, yogurts, hot selection, bread and pastries topped of with excellent coffee from an expresso machine. As for the location of the hotel I believe that can not opt for better one as everything is in a walking distance. The day after arrival formalities of check in where carried out by a very friendly receptionist, Jitka, in a smooth friendly manner. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and on the day of departure we requested an late check-out to our flight departing at 2200. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked so our wishes could not be met. The most friendly receptionist Romana offered to store our luggage and said that we could freshen up before departure in the hotel bathroom before leaving to the airport. To our surprise when we arrived to hotel, before departure to the airport, there where juices, coffee and pastries waiting for us in the lobby and Romana told us that we could use "her" room to take an shower and change cloths. Wow we have to say, she gave us her own room to freshen up for departure. This is the most friendly ever hotel staff that we have encountered through our travels. In a nutshell our review is as follows: Hotel - small and very clean with excellent breakfast. Hotel staff - 10+ - Romana= 20+. Hotel location - difficult to find a better one.…
What a great location. 2 min from Charles Bridge, 5 min from old town. 15 -20 min from castle. Nothing wrong to say about that place. Friendly helpful staff. Very clean warm and friendly hotel. I will back soon with friends and family. Recommended for perfect city brake
Just back from my second recent stay! Great location, very very friendly staff. Excellent. Defo recommend. Stay here each time I visit Prague. Nice breakfast. Extremely clean. Wonderful place. Thank you!
Jitka was extremely efficient in helping to organise my arrival so that I knew how to get access to the hotel at 3am following a delayed flight. I saw her every day of my stay and she was always helpful, friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. The room was beautiful and had everything I could have wanted at a very reasonable price. The location of the hotel could not be better to get to all of the main touristic sights. At the same time, it is quiet at night so you get a good rest. I was impressed by the breakfast which was included in the price - the bottle of prosecco for guests to help themselves to was a lovely touch. I am sure I will be back to Prague and Hotel Clementin again soon. Thank you, Jitka, for the passion you put into your business and the way you make your guests feel welcomed.…
Great location in the middle of the city, really friendly staff, great amenities (shower gel, conditioner, shampoo, body lotion, sewing kit, shoe stuff), 20 mins ride from the airport (which we got a bolt from for £15), good choice of hot and cold food for the breakfast buffet. They let us keep our luggage at the hotel and offered us a coffee when we came to pick it up. The only negative was that there was no view from the window but we were hardly in the room so it didn’t matter to us.
We chose to stay at Clementin due to its cozy feeling and placement right in the middle of Old Town, Prague. It’s only a very short walk to the Charles Bridge and Old Town Square. The hotel only has 9 rooms and the smallest elevator I have ever seen :) - but it only adds to the cozy atmosphere. The rooms are very modern, very clean and has all the comfort needed when you are mostly touring the city during the daytime. On the day of our arrival, we discovered just before take-off, that check-in was before 19. So we called the hotel and talked to Jitka, the receptionist at the hotel. She was extremely friendly and offered to stay to 20 o’clock, so we could make it to the hotel in time. Upon arrival, she gave us good advice for our first night out in the city. And on the following days she was very helpful with tips for tours and trips, aiding us with a taxi for the airport on our departure etc. The hotel may perhaps “only” be 4-star, but Jitka is most certainly a 5-star receptionist. What a wonderful lady. The morning breakfast is actually very good considering the hotel only has 9 rooms. It gave us a good start before venturing out into the city. All in all we highly recommend the hotel if the main purpose for your trip is being close to everything in walking distance and spending most of the day exploring the city.…
Hotel Clementin was the perfect place for our visit to Prague. It is centrally located between the Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square and Astronomical Clock. The building is charming with a history dating back centuries, but the interior is completely updated with everything we could possible need. Romana and Jitka were the ideal hosts, making us feel like family. We wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Clementin for your visit to Prague.
Ideal location. Rooms, as expected are not big in 101. But if you want to stay in the old town, that's what you get. What makes this place fabulous is Romana and Jitka. The minute you check in, you are family. They give you all information you need even help you with transport and printing info if you want to do your own trip. Breakfast is complete, with salad, fruits, the best espresso machine with lots of options, bread, cold cuts pastries, cheese and hot meals. Service in the breakfast is excellent as Mina, is always giving and serving. There is strict health protocols since it is buffet, they provide you disposable gloves to hold the serving spoons. When we are in a rush to pack the sandwhiches as we have early flight, she makes sure to hand you saran wrap, foil and bags to go. Everything is in the room from slippers to sewing kits. The shower has some leak on the floor but the housekeeping gives us extre floor towerls so the bathroom floors are dry.…
