Fantastic location, just a few minutes walk from all important places in Prague, good breakfast, really nice hosts, very friendly place. The rooms are simple but sufficient. I would stay here again any time.

Well I stayed here for 5 nights which was a tad too long for this kind of place. But it was good value for money. I had real trouble sleeping because of the mattresses. Staff were a bit to rude for my liking saying I was given a clean towel yesterday when I asked for a new one so I... More

The location is perfect, right at the heart of Prague. The pension is right behind a church and the staff is very friendly. However, my room looked like a room of my great great great grandmother and too be honest I found it a bit spooky. The whole building smells like the smell in a church and it was very... More

CONS: not worth the price. Look elsewhere first. No real air condition, only a big standing propeller which cannot be used by night due to sound. It is suffocatingly hot in the summer time (+32 C/90 F in July). Breakfast is minimal and starts too late 7:30 when you like to be already going by car; considering travelling long distances... The pension is close to the heart of Prague - 10 minutes walking. The rooms are clean, the price is very honest. The only bad thing is that, depending on who are in the other rooms, it can be noisy. The responsible at the desk was very kind and I got a good rate changing euros for czech krones. I... More

It is a very nice pension in the very centre of Prague. Maybe it is not very luxurious, but it does not pretend to be. It's a nice and comfortable place, very close to the main railway station, Metro and Wenceslas Square. I give them 4 stars instead of 5 only because I found showers a bit too small, but... More

Me and my friend stayed at Church Pension Husuv Dum for six days. I had been there before and had decided to stay there again, because it was really nice. It is not expensive and you cannot expect it to be first class, but it has many advantages, like a kitchen everybody may use and a good breakfast. The people... More

We enjoyed our stay at the church pension, we arrived after the reception had closed but one of the staff greeted us, give us a map and told us a little about the area. The room was dated however the location made up for this. I would stay here again because of the location and the friendly staff.

I found the bed was extremely unconfortable, very noisy, extremely simple, it had a very poor feeling. Towels provided were a joke. It has a wonderful location tough and nice staff. It would be totally ok if it were cheaper, I believe for what I was paying I should have got much more, specially compared to other accommodation I had... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
