We were here to stay the night before our departure from PRG. Friendly staff. Bar and restaurant were good. This was perfect for our preflight stay.
Room clean. Large shower. Could not ask for more. Shuttle to terminal 2 is every half hour cost 3 euros per person. Sign up when checking in

I almost always stay at HOLIDAY INN on every trip, this time to Prague! Hotel located in a very nice area, right next to the convention center, metro station 2 minutes walk, there is also a good sushi restaurant right in front of the metro entrance. The breakfast in the hotel is decent, for those like me who only eat a croissant and drink a coffee it's fine. Fruit juices that are too acidic! Nice waiters, reception ok, the only flaw is the cleanliness of the rooms, too much dust, toilet paper too thin, mirrors always dirty, the daily cleaning service only includes making the bed, a quick cleaning of the bathroom fixtures, but they didn't refill the bubble bath in Three days. In other HOLIDAY Inns for example in Milan and Genoa, the cleaning service was impeccable, even every day they brought us a new bottle of water. Not here. But all in all great hotel as always. I only highly recommend being more precise about cleaning because there is a lot of dust on the paintings and in the wardrobes. Overall though, I recommend it.

Very good hotel overall. We went to Prague 1 week and enjoyed a suite on the 5th floor. Well maintained and modern room; clear but partial view towards the Vltava. No swimming pool however and during our stay the training room was not accessible. Spacious lunch room, with outdoor terrace available. Hearty and varied breakfast except for fruit. Friendly and friendly staff.
Eccentric hotel in relation to the city center (3 to 4 km), but only 2 metro stops from Vanceslas Square (and the National Museum) (line C). Metro station 3 minutes walk from the hotel and the nearby convention center. Metro tickets, buses for sale at the reception (don't forget that public transport is free in Prague for people 65 years and over). Highlights of the hotel: its proximity to Vysehrad (city with superb St. Peter's and St. Paul's Basilica and famous cemetery where the composer Dvorak, Smetana and also Alfons Mucha are buried); very pleasant to stroll in the morning or evening in Vysehrad (few people, beautiful trees, small parks, splendid and elevated views of the Vltava); you can go down to the edge of the watercourse and make a nice walk to the dancing house cubist style (about 30 minutes walk), In Vysehrad you also have the rotunda St. Martin, the oldest church in Prague and 15 or 20 minutes walk from the hotel you also have the church St. Cyril and Methodius, famous for hiding during the Second World War the Czech heroes of Operation Anthropoid. On the restaurant side, we tried the U Kroka twice at the foot of the Vysehrad citadel and it was very good at moderate price. In short if the fact of public transport does not put you off and you like walking, it is a beautiful place to stay avoiding being constantly in the very tourist area of downtown Prague.

My wife and I spent a night at the hotel and couldn't be happier. Really excellent value. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The entire hotel (including the room) was perfectly clean. There also was a pleasant smell in the lobby, hallways, and room, and unlike some hotels, the room did not have a bleach type smell. Finally, the bedding and bed were very comfortable.

Located close to the Vysehrad Metro station this hotel offers all travellers a good
and reasonable place to stay. You are guaranteed a good night sleep and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are well appointed, very well cleaned and some rooms on the higher floors offers fine views over Prague.
The large restaurant, both outside and inside dining offers a varied menu although rather limited in choices.

It had been a while since I was last at the Holiday Inn Prague but I quickly remembered why this hotel disappoints. First issue and the main issue is a stupid system with the hotel drop off where Taxi/rideshare are charged a car park fee for dropping off or picking up. Now this had been a problem on my previous visit but on this occasion it caused me missing my train as drivers kept cancelling on the app and finally a driver came around on the side street and explained why the previous 5 drivers had cancelled. It is beyond belief the hotel inconveniences guests with either a policy that is not clear or is changed from time to time. The reason i say that is when I was there in 2022 I remember asking for my driver to be released from car park and the receptionist said taxi/rideshare did not have to pay. In any case it is outrageous.
The hotel rooms are okay and the restaurant is great but I do not understand why IHG says you can use the reward vouchers at the property but the hotel does not accept.
With the addition of issues of safety around the hotel in the winter with uncleared frozen ice and a lack of care of the water on the floor around the reception I would hope that it will not take a serios accident to attend to these problems. I wrote to the hotel 6 months ago to address the issues I am still waiting for a response but in any case the fact that I rebooked was my mistake. It will take soe major improvements for me to return.

The location is pretty good if you’re staying for conferences near the area or at Prague congress centre. This is not a fault of the hotel at all, but if you’re walking over from the metro station, the walking routes that Apple/Google Maps provide are unnecessarily long and circuitous: I’d look closer at the map since there are walking paths near the Congress centre that don’t require climbing up/down stairs to reach the hotel at all. There was some temporary constructions going on near the entrance but this didn’t cause any noise/disturbance that bothered me. The breakfast room is vast and has a lot of seating available, with a greater than average selection of hot and cold choices of food that was greatly appreciated.

I am an IHG gold member and can say this is one of the best Holiday Inn’s I have stayed in. The room was a good size and what seems to be recently renovated, very modern with a built in charging station for your phone, lovely Dove products in the bathroom, ample wardrobe space, super comfy beds and a lovely view of the city. We stayed in room 253. Breakfast was great, lots of choice hot and cold , big shout out to Sylvia who was very helpful and friendly throughout our entire 5 night stay. My husband was here to have lens replacement surgery at the Neovise clinic , it was a great location for this only about a 25 minute walk, it was also a great location for the old town, we are walkers so walked everywhere , it was a lovely walk out through Vysehrad , in fact the whole walk to the old town was very pleasant, you get to see so much more. Excellent hotel very impressed, highly recommend.

I am quite disappointed how my legitimate complaint I raised yesterday upon arrival that the shower in my room is broken and I requested the front office to move me to another room but to no avail.

I was told hotel is fully booked and that I understand. However, I was expecting they’d send someone to fix it but that didn’t happen.

This is far beyond the kind of service that Holiday Inn Warsaw City Centre provides. As an IHG member, I have high expectations from all IHG hotel affiliates. My experience in Ukraine (Intercontinental Hotel Kyiv) and that of Holiday Warsaw Hotels compared with my experience here now, it’s disappointing.

I should have stayed at Marriott
Hotel Prague which is more accessible to Old Town and other shops.

To be fair, Alexandra (?) not sure of her exact name was kind enough to offer early check-in especially when she found out I am an IHG member but housekeeping apparently didn’t check the shower.

Moving forward, this kind of issue raised by a guest (regardless of ethnicity or race) shouldn’t be treated as a grain of salt but rather with utmost empathic regard and consideration.

As others have said this hotel is not directly in the centre but I was fine with the location. It's only a 5 min walk to the metro station - people saying it was 10+ must have got lost, ignore Google maps and just follow the signs. It's also a short walk to Vysehrad which has amazing views of Prague at sunset. Unfortunately my room has a view of a road - oh well, can't win them all! The rooms facing the garden or castle would be nice though. Staff were all very very friendly and helpful apart from a bartender who insisted I pay cash for a drink at night rather than charging it to my room which I did earlier (smelled dodgy to me!) Also unfortunately the AC struggled to cope, which meant I struggled to sleep... They did bring me a fan when I asked for one which helped a little bit. I am guessing the rooms are due for modernisation soon (the room was perfectly comfortable but felt a bit dated) so I hope they fix the AC system too... They gave me some points as an apology when I mentioned it to them which was appreciated. The HI at Prague Airport had brand new AC units in the rooms so I hope they get them here too! But I did get some free sparkling wine and chocolates - thank you!

Dear Dana, thank you for your message. The best is by taxi. Hotel taxi is for the rate 850 CZK (33 €). Please, let us know via email reception@holidayinn.cz if you are interested in. Or you can use the bus and than metro. I recommend a taxi. It's the most comfortable choice. Best Regards Katerina
