Brilliant stay at U Pava, great position close to Charles Bridge, extremely good room (suite) and good value for money. Breakfast unbelievable for price and staff exceptionally helpful. Plenty of good restaurants close by.

The location of this hotel is perfect. It's quiet and away from the busy tourist areas and still only a 4 minute stroll to Charles Bridge. With the Castle directly behind, within 15 minutes you can be taking photos of Prague from the grounds of the Castle. We walked a lot in Prague and getting back to the hotel was...

Just across Charles Bridge in a lovely quiet spot. The staff were friendly and there's a decent enough breakfast to set you up for the day. The rooms 202 and 203 were clean though there was very little natural light because the rooms faced onto another building. They were not as characterful as the pictures shown. There's no kettle in...

The decor was stunning & location spot on. The staff (most of anyway) were so welcoming and couldn't do more to help with making dinner & tour reservations etc. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Prague. Beautiful rooms, good breakfast, comfy beds, stunning views.... What more could you need.

Just back from my fourth stay at the U Pava and again it was a pleasure. I've been lucky enough to stay in a different room each time and this one was a corner room on the first floor with lovely richly coloured blue, red and gold decor and four big windows, spotlessly clean as always with a lovely spacious...

Spent 4 nights here in December. The hotel is located in a quiet part of town but very close to the stunning Charles Bridge. Breakfast was simple but quite adequate. Hotel rooms are individual in character and quirky but very comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel for its excellent value

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
