Last August, we stayed in Prague for 7 days. One of our best souvenirs is our stay at the Pod Vezi Hotel. Its central location is just perfect, at the foot of one of the towers leading to the famous Charles Bridge, one of the main attractions in Prague. The room was very clean and comfortable. Excellent Wifi. Our corner... More

Fantastic hotel. Exceeded our high expectations. Friendly, helpful staff who go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Nothing is too much trouble. Great restaurant and creperie (very reasonably priced) in which you get discount as residents. Beautiful, spacious room. Cannot praise this hotel enough - an absolute gem in a most beautiful city. Location unbeatable nestled... More

We first stayed at Pod Vezi last October prior to a Viking River Cruise. We loved the location and the friendliness of the staff! The hotel also provides excellent value. Our stay at Pod Vezi made our visit to Prague so enjoyable that we just had to return--with our friends! They loved it too! Here's to Eva, Martin, and the... More

Perfect location for visiting old town, outstanding facility, very friendly and helpful staff, patio restaurant and indoor both perfect - my wife says she really enjoyed the leg of duck - stayed in standard room in annex - excellent. Highly recommend for a magical visit to Prague.

Pod Vezi is located at the foot of the Charles Bridge in Lesser Town. We loved the carnival atmosphere outside of our hotel windows during the day with little or no sound noted in the room, with absolutely quiet, and peaceful evenings and a great night's sleep. The Hotel restaurant was outstanding, and the service great. There were also many nearby... More

Hotel Pod Vezi Hotel Prague We were throughly delighted with our stay at the Hotel Pod Vezi in Prague . Located next to the Charles bridge, most of the local sights were accessible by walking. From the moment we entered this charming hotel, we were greeted by a warm and courteous staff. I was so impressed I spoke to the... More

Located right in the center of the city. Hotel staff is first class and very friendly. Make sure to do the E-bike tour they recommend. Free breakfast included with stay. You also get free access to the tower that overlooks the Charles Bridge.

I was staying for a week in this historic hotel, right under the roof. The irregularly shaped room (No. 31) was small and rather dark. I cannot recommend it to you, in particular, if you here on business. There were just two very small roof windows, one with view onto the gothic tower at the end of the Charles Bridge,... More

I recently traveled back to Prague (a city one cannot get enough of), and of course, since my December stay was so pleasant, I stayed again at Pod Vezi. On entering the reception area, I was enthusiastically greeted by Martin, who knew it was my second stay. This time, for one night before venturing further south, I stayed at the... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
