Stayed at Hotel Pod Vezi for four nights. It was just wonderful. Where to start…. I had booked online and our plans changed so needed to add an extra night. The staff I dealt with via email were so helpful and easily made the change we needed. Upon arrival which was about 7pm we were met with the most helpful young man at reception (so sorry I have forgotten his name). Check in was super easy and he was so helpful with local knowledge and advice. The room was very large and felt castle or presidential like. It was super clean and the cleaning staff each day made it feel like it was day one of arrival again. They always restocked the bathroom and coffee amenities and did a great cleaning job. Location was fantastic at the Charles Bridge but was not at all noisey. The breakfast was delicious and had so much variety and there were little changes each day which gave it variety. Had everything from eggs bacon sausages, freshly squeezed orange juice, breads, waffles, cereal, fruit and more. So so many positives about this hotel but I think the staff are their outstanding asset. They were all so happy to help.

Hotel's Favorite
We have just returned from hotel Pod Vezi and cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. ALL the staff, without exception, that we encountered were kind, helpful, courteous-couldn’t do anymore for us. The hotel is a beautiful old building central to explore Prague. Our room was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean and serviced daily. There were nice touches such as chocolates, small bottle of Prosecco etc that appeared in our room as a surprise. We stayed bed and breakfast, breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. The excellent customer service continued even when we returned home and emailed the hotel querying an issue we had with transport when travelling back to the airport-absolutely nothing to do with the hotel but they were happy to help. Our experience at Pod Vezi was a strong 10/10 and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel-even if just for the staff alone! Thank you Pod Vezi for your kindness and help whilst we were in Prague.

From the central location to the super staff, wonderful huge room and terrific restaurant this was the perfect hotel for our first visit to Prague. First, the room. We were the first visitors in No. 14 in the main building following its recent renovation. Amazingly high ceiling, a separate sitting room with desk and extremely comfortable twin beds put together. We worried that being just above the restaurant terrace and with a view of the throngs on the Charles Bridge it might be noisy. No issue for us with either because of the double windows. You may hear some early morning street sweeping and trash trucks but honestly it was quick and the room more than makes up for that. A really nice touch was the daily little treats - chocolate, macarons and a little spa pack. Second, the staff. Everyone was very friendly and we received fabulous recommendations for dinner spots and tips on things to do, including the best times to hit the big tourist draws. They also warned us not to use any of the scores of ATM or money changing spots and head for an ATM that is operated by a bank. You will avoid insane fees and a terrible conversion rate. Third, the restaurant. We had after dinner drinks one evening and followed the recommendations of the waiter for some local brandy. The next evening we had dinner and it was terrific from starter to main to dessert. (A 10% discount if you are a hotel guest.) The included breakfasts offer a lot of great options (including a waffle machine) and a machine to make fresh-squeezed orange juice. Finally, the location. We took advantage of the hotel-arranged transportation from the train station on arrival and to the airport on departure - well worth the modest cost.) The hotel is right in the center of the old parts of the city at one end of the Charles Bridge. There’s a tram stop a couple of blocks away and you can hop a tram up to the castle or take a circuitous route across the river to the old town. (Note that senior citizens can ride for free - another tip from the staff.) We found it the perfect spot for reasonable walks to everything we wanted to see and do. We would absolutely return on our next visit.

Our stay at Hotel Pod Veží in Prague was truly remarkable. The hotel itself is impeccably clean, offering a welcoming and comfortable environment. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our visit was memorable, assisting with everything from airport transfers to booking unique local experiences and restaurants. Their recommendations, including a delightful dinner at Pork's and a guided tour of Prague, enriched our trip immeasurably. It's clear why this hotel comes so highly recommended: exceptional service, prime location, and genuine hospitality make it a perfect choice for anyone visiting Prague.

We were just passing and the menu looked good, about 6.30pm on a Monday only a few in but said fully booked later. Looked French / Italian inside. Our waiter was great food absolutely fantastic was like fine dining. We had: Starters Chicken liver crème brûlée Snails Mains Rolled chicken Tenderloin of beef. All were perfectly cooked and delicious. Had the deserts from the 3 to choose from also pretty good. Two liquor coffees which were not what I expected, wouldn’t take these next time. Overall a great find you wouldn’t be disappointed . Cosy inside, great food, Only downside was one of the waiters was a bit too pushy trying to upsell wine with your meal. Tried to suggest a Sicilian desert wine. Definitely will return.

Excellent boutique hotel, beautifully clean spacious room with daily replenishment of toiletries, fantastic service from friendly helpful staff. Delicious and plentiful breakfast to start the day. Positioned next to The Charles Bridge which the hotel gives a free pass to climb the tower for wonderful views across the city. Close to restaurants and a tram stop. Truly recommend this gem of a hotel, we had an amazing stay.

We have just returned from the wonderful Pod Vezi which we chose for our Anniversary. From the beginning to the end of our stay, Eva and her team were attentive and every detail was thought of with kindness and care. A wonderful hotel that values its guests and is as beautiful as the city it is in. A real jewel. No need to look anywhere else if you want a special stay.

Great hotel in a great location right on the charles bridge. Staff were great and explained everything to us before showing us our rooms which were all ready early. This was a bonus as we did arrive early. The double bed was two singles put together which really wasn’t a problem could do with having a big duvet though instead of two small ones. The room was great clean and lots of coffee and mini bar full, they also had a set of scales which was handy for the case. Could maybe have an iron in there probably could have asked but didn’t need one too much. Would definitely go back here again as the room staff and location is really great.

This is such a wonderful hotel in every way. The location is first class, just a few steps from Charles bridge. We had a deluxe room which was very spacious with a lovely sitting area. Huge comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The room had a minibar which was reasonably priced, robes and slippers and ample toiletries which were replaced daily. Also a coffee machine was provided. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was fresh and varied every morning was different and they even had Prosecco if you fancied it. Staff were kind and very helpful. There used to be a beautiful roof terrace where you can take in the views and take your own refreshments (there is a small well stocked supermarket just opposite the hotel). We also ate in the restaurant twice during our stay and the food was incredible. If we return to Prague again, we would not stay anywhere but here! Thank you to all at Pod Vezi.

What a superb hotel! Michael on reception greeted us with warmth, taking time to give us some advice about Prague, thankfully in fantastic English. We had a deluxe room which was exceptionally spacious with every conceivable facility. We looked onto Lesser Tower and the pretty streets in Lesser Town which was lovely. It is in a wonderful location right next to The Charles Bridge and handy for the Castle and Petrin Tower. The roof terrace is a lovely spot with views of the Castle. Breakfast was plentiful, good quality and varied. It was my husband’s 60th whilst we were there and at some point the staff left an ice bucket with a bottle of sparkling wine and a card. We were both delighted by such a thoughtful touch. We ate at the restaurant which was also superb. Neither of us could think of a single negative point about Pod Vezi. Thanks to all for a fabulous stay.
