Do not look any further. I'm rather reluctant to write this review, for fear they will be so busy next time we visit Prague that we won't be able to book a room. But, we need to share. This charming, boutique hotel is not only beautiful, it is next to the Charles St Bridge and the location is ideal. We were treated like royalty during our stay and we could not believe how beautiful the rooms were not to mention the size of the rooms (not your typical accommodations at a European hotel...or American for that matter). A lovely breakfast was included along with cappuccinos and espressos to boot. Oh and did I mention the staff? They made us feel like family and went over and beyond to help us, direct us and make our stay perfect. Thank you and until we meet again, beautiful Hotel Pod Vezi!

Hotel Pod Vezi is conveniently located at the base of the Charles bridge, and worked out well for my 6 night stay in Prague. While the street outside can be a bit busy, it is a calm oasis inside. My room was located in the main building, was large, nicely appointed, and quiet. The rooftop terrace provides a pleasant space to relax. The restaurant serves a good breakfast, and I also ate dinner there twice, which was excellent.

We had originally booked this hotel for Sept. 2020 but with COVID it took us 2 years to get there. Suprisingly the hotel gave a credit for the original booking, which certainly impressed me. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. The hotel is within walking distance of everything. Although its so close to the Charles Bridge and the hordes of tourists, we stayed in the annex and felt like we were worlds away. The food was good at breakfast and the restaurant was excellent for dinner. However, I can't say enough about the staff at this hotel! From the moment we arrived they gave us tips on how and where to go. They were extremely helpful. Finally and perhaps most important the night manager helped us navigate the ambulance service when my husband had a medical emergency. I'm not sure what we would have done without him. His level of concern was touching and I can't thank him enough. Even without this event, I would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to be in the heart of Prague but feel like they are in an oasis of calm.

Super friendly staff. Nice room with a very good breakfast. Location can't be beat---lots of great bars in the area. Easy access to Prague Castle and the Old City. Didn't try to roof top terrace but they have a free pass for the tower at their end of the Charles Bridge.

The perfect combination of luxury and old world charm. The rooms were very comfortable, breakfast delightful, front desk very helpful and friendly. Close to everything but in a quieter area of Prague. Loved it. Don’t miss the creperie next door.

It is difficult to reword all the excellent descriptions of this hotel. Management has found staff that truly want you to have a good experience with them. They are helpful, efficient, and friendly. Our room had a couple of sitting options, good lighting, magnifying mirror in the lav, lots of hangers. VERY clean. All details to make it a very comfortable stay. The location is fabulous. Getting up at 0730ish and walking 2 mins to be on the Charles Bridge without the crowds was a memory i cherish. The breakfast buffet variety and staff are great. You can start your day with sparkling wine, fresh squeezed oj and a good variety of fresh fruit. We ate dinner a couple of times and food prep was good. Only once did we have a waiter that did not seem to want to be there. Ate at the creperie once, wished we could have fit it in more often. Lovely presentation and delicious. The roof top patio is a lovely place to enjoy a glass of wine & watch the setting sun change lighting on the tower. This is THE place to stay if you are a tourist in Prague.

One of my favorite inner city hotels. Hotel is seconds from the Charles Bridge, wonderful staff, clean, quiet rooms. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay a pleasurable one. I loved Prague, the food, and architecture. English is spoken by all staff if needed. I would return to Prague and definitely stay at Hotel Pod Vezi. Not close to train station but so worth it being close to the bridge and all the sights.

From the minute we checked in with the delightful Jiri, we knew we were in for a wonderful experience at this delightful hotel, positioned just under one of the towers of the Charles Bridge. Our room was very well equipped (even a Nespresso machine), the King Size bed very comfortable, and the daily "present" left in our room each day a real treat! The variety of breakfast and coffee options were excellent, very fresh (so fresh you could squeeze your own orange juice or make your own waffles) and set us up for a full morning's worth of sightseeing before we felt the need to have lunch! Tours were booked on our behalf (thanks Honsa), our room was immaculately made up each day and we ate at both the restaurant and creperie, benefitting from a 10% discount each time. The hotel was very quiet at night despite being near the main tourist path from the Charles Bridge to the Castle. I recommend this delightful and very reasonably priced hotel to anyone visiting Prague and would like to commend the Management for recruiting such friendly, happy and polite staff!

We spent three wonderful nights at the Pod Vezi Hotel in Prague. Located under the western tower of the Charles Bridge (pod vezi is Czech for “under the tower”), this hotel has it all. It is within walking distance of so much to see and do. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. We enjoyed the extra touches of fresh flowers, chocolates and cookies. The attached restaurant featured excellent Czech food, as well as other options. The included breakfast buffet was exceptional and varied each day. All pre-travel correspondence was answered promptly and helpful to our planning. Once we arrived, the staff, particularly Michael, was forthcoming with excellent advice on what to see and how to get there. We usually walked, but did take a public tram uphill to the famous 9th century Prague Castle and walked back. This is the ideal hotel to explore beautiful Prague!

This charming hotel was such a wonderful place to stay in Prague. It's in the middle of everything which made it easy to find our way around. The staff goes above and beyond any expectations. They even made sure we used the right tour guides and cash machines. Incredibly clean and quaint! Thank you Thomas for your help in all manner of things while we were there. You were a gem!
