We’ve just recently stayed at this hotel for the first time, thanks to their very convenient location at Veleslavin close to the Prague’s airport. Must say the value for money is impressive, the hotel itself is a bit outdated but as well you can see they have invested and renovated it a lot- specially the interiors. We’ve been greeted at the main reception by two lovely ladies (unfortunately didn’t ask for names) and were quickly checked in, when told that we can’t make it to breakfast thanks to our early flight, they have immediately offered a packed breakfast which we collected in the evening. I must say I didn’t expect much, but what a surprise was a big bag with three awesome fresh sandwiches, fruits and snacks. What a blast! 👍👏 Room itself was lovely, they have accommodated our request for high floor and bright room and it was surprisingly really modern, nice big TV, balcony, modern bathroom and very comfy bed, all super clean and tidy. Have nothing wrong or bad to mention, very surprising stay and will come back again when visiting Prague later this year.…
Arrived at 10.30 pm to the hotel check in was smooth and quick. Unfortuantly there was no food or bar options available at that time. Hotel is old and a bit spooky however the bedroom was clean and comfortable and extremly quite!!hotel krystal was ideal for my trip .situated in a good location for metro and bus to visit the city centre. Would stay again
I stayed one night before flying from Prague Vaclav Havel Airport. The hotel is perfectly located a short walk from Nadrazi Veleslavin where you can take a bus to the airport or the Metro to the city centre. Don’t be fooled by google maps which shows you need to take the tram there - it’s a very short walk. The room was so big and comfy, I could have stayed there for a week. Very reasonably priced. Really good breakfast! (I loved the brownies) Next time I’m staying in Prague for longer I have Hotel Krystal on my list.
The room is nice and the hotel looks great but it is not good for a business trip as the wifi is working only half the time. Their IT department says that is does not work properly if too many guests connect.
My flight was at night time and I was worried in case I would be unable to get to the hotel by public transport. There is no metro station at the airport itself, but bus 119 stops right outside and I was pleased to find that as soon as I left the airport a bus came along. The ride to Nadrazi Veleslavin metro station did not take long and there were also other people on the bus coming from the airport. The hotel can be clearly seen from the station and it didn't take me long to walk there. The reception staff spoke good English and I was given a room on the 15th floor with a nice view from the balcony. I was only there for one night and travelling on to other accommodation the next day. The hotel looks like it was built in the sixties, but has been modernised. My room was clean and the wifi was good. The breakfast buffet in the morning was excellent. Altogether a positive experience and I would go there again!…
This hotel occupies a large 16-storey building, in part the Centrum doktorandskych a manazerskych studii (Centre of Post-Graduate and Management Studies) situated just off the main road which links the city to the airport. Convenient for the nearby metro station and tram stops plus of course the frequent 119 bus to the airport. The room we had was large, had a nice view and a balcony, but as every hotelier knows the comfort of the beds is paramount. Our bed had one of the thinnest mattress I have ever slept on to date, appearing to be simply a slab of foam rubber. However, we must have been unlucky because some rooms, the doors of which were left open, seemed better furnished worthy of a 3-star establishment. Had we known earlier we would have asked for a change. Because of its size the hotel receives a large number of coach parties, the groups converge on the breakfast room at their earliest opportunity so be prepared for a noisy and chaotic breakfast. The one redeeming feature that we liked most, was the small down-to-earth restaurant serviced by friendly staff and with all the dishes on offer at very reasonable prices. Certainty there are many plus points to staying here such as the good transport links, the communist style architecture and is especially ideal for those who like nice hard foam mattresses.…
The hotel is a little bit far from the center but there is a train station and a metro station near the hotel. The room was very clear and comfortable, the bathroom also very clear. The balcony needs restauration, it is not looking very good. The restaurant looks a bite old, but the breakfast was ok, we had what to choose. The staff from the reception vas very friendly and professional, they made quickly the check in and gave us all the information we needed. For the price we paid the hotel was ok.
We stayed a night before going into rural Czech Republic. A pleasant, clean hotel, plenty of choice for breakfast, and provision made for our toddler grandaughter. A good stopover choice. We arrived late, but the small bar was open to slake our travellers'thirst. Oh, and a good price too!
Kudos to the staff. 1. Iwona allowed me early check in 9AM. Late check out at 12 PM. 2. Clean property and very clean rooms. 3. Continental breakfast was very good. 4. Near to Velaslavin station. Thanks to Iwona and other staff.
